The food here was amazing. I have never been before today. Me and my friend bonnie were going to get cookies, but we saw this place as we were driving by and decided to stop in before we got a sweet treat. kind and quick service, I definitely recommend. Ambiance was better than words can describe, great lighting and decor! shout out to the workers and chefs behind the scenes

Please list the correct store hours. This store closes at 9:45 PM not 10:00 PM. I drove to this location thinking I'd be able to place an order well before 10 PM but the guy was already closing the register even though the open sign was on and the door was open. I wouldn't have wasted my time if the store hours were listed correctly.

I ordered using my BonChon App for pickup to take home for late dinner. My commute home is 45-60 min depending on traffic from Alexandria. When I arrived to pick up, there was a woman helping hand out orders. I told her my name, she hesitated, looked through order bags on shelf, found a bag and handed it to me. When I got back home and my son opened it up, he discovered it wasn't our order. Even the name on the bag was wrong. The only thing close was the persons name on the order was the same first letter as mine. Ugh, I had already driven an hour to get home and was disappointed in myself for being in a rush since late work day and another hour to get food home, that I didn't at least checking the name on the order - let alone the contents like I normally do. I reluctantly called the store to report I was given the wrong order, afraid it would be difficult to find a way to refund since I wasn't going to drive an hour back to store.As luck would have it, I spoke with Roberto. He was very apologetic and offered to redo my order and I could pick up again in the future. He gave me his number so that I could give him a heads up when it would be convenient to stop by and he would have it ready. Two days later I texted him and he had it ready for my son to pick up when he was in the area again.Was such a relief for it to work out this smoothly to correct a mistake.Although the order pickup was unfortunate - the resolution and accommodation to correct completely minimized the inconvenience.Thank you Roberto! I won't hesitate to order from there again - the food was cooked great!

Surprisingly good despite the fast food vibes. I was a little scared of the gigantic chicken parts. Almost looked like turkey. We had jap chae with extra bulgogi, bulgogi, and a family pack for four. The breading and sauce were tasty. Service was fine. There was some difficulty ordering via Uber eats because of a local power surge.

Below is a review I drafted but never posted because I thought maybe it was a fluke but after experiencing the same slow and non-existent service today, I decided to post. This location needs to shut down and re-evaluate how they do business because the wait time is unacceptable. Stop taking orders or close until you can properly run a business. Waiting over an hour for 6 wings is absurd and when young man working the register just stares at you and won't try to rectify or even make the situation right. Never again. Superbowl Sunday. I expect businesses, especially a chicken wing place, to be busy but I don't expect them not to be prepared and to not follow good business practices. I placed on order in advance and due to traffic, arrived 40 minutes after my scheduled pick up time only to find out my order was not ready yet and hadn't even been started. We inquired on when it would be ready but was not given a time. The restaurant was packed with others who also had placed orders that were past due. The staff was working diligently but orders coming up were not being done in order and newer orders were being filled over older ones. People were patiently waiting and after 10 more minutes, I asked for a refund. The Super Bowl comes the same time every year and there's no reason not to be prepared. Whether that means shutting down online orders or in person orders, practices should be put in place to mitigate a negative customer experience.

I had just landed at Reagan National Airport when I decided to grab some wings on my way to my room. The local Bonchon was only a few miles away and in the same direction I was going to. I drove straight there and they had good parking in the shopping center. There was no line when I entered and I place my order ( this location does not sell the Korean wine Soju ) and sat down. Decided to read a couple reviews on yelp and to my surprise they had some of the worst ratings I've ever seen for any Bonchon in this country. Now I'm nervous, my orders already in and I'm not sure what to think. So I just decided to observe the establishment to see how they were operating. Can I spot the problems. This Bonchon location is a little bit smaller than what I'm used to seeing but they were generally clean ( the bathroom too ) and the atmosphere was pleasant. There was a couple sitting at the table enjoying their meal and each other's company. But most of the orders that came in was for takeout or pick up ( delivery ). They're located in a shopping center that generally closes at 9 PM but they stay open till 10. I noticed a larger portion orders the box could not close. Meaning the wing and leg pieces would be over the top and he literally couldn't close the box so he just put it in the bag and tie it off without actually closing the box or using a second box to complete the order. I notice / read a lot of people complained about that ( open wings box ) in the Yelp Reviews, but I was able to watch it firsthand that's the way he operates. The solution is to use as many boxes as necessary to complete the order especially on delivery orders. Stop trying to save money on using boxes. The world is just getting over COVID-19 and safety is paramount. especially in the delivery food business.Now my order is ready and I watched him place it in the bag without closing the box because it can't, it's over full and tie off the top ends of the bag. That's fine because I visually watched him do it but that would not work for delivery service. Now let's get to the texture and taste. The texture was fine deep fried with a nice coating but the flavor is was off. Half of my wings and legs were Soy Garlic flavor and the other half was spicy flavor. The soy garlic was a little bit off but I was able to identify it but my spicy was barely spicy with no flavor. That's not cool, that's not Bonchon. I am not interested on purposely returning to this location. But I do hope they get it together for Bonchon namesake.

The worst Bonchon I have visited out of 10 in the 5 years. New management is need ASAP. I placed an order and realized I didn't want rice but because I paid for it the lady was brokered a deal to give me fries as a substitute; my fault I should have insisted on a refund. This was the first sign something ain't right. I ordered chicken wings and popstickers. When she gave me my order see picture. Embarrassing for a franchise.

I have been to Bonchon numerous times in several locations to include having large meals catered into our office. I ordered this through Uber Eats and the delivery driver couldn't have been nicer or faster. I read the reviews for this outlet and was waiting for their growing pains to get worked out.Unless they have a very drastic change - their outlet is going to close. People will not accept this sub-standard burnt offering as real Bonchon. Never in the history of ever - even with ordering platters of 100 strips and 100 bone-in wings have I had such a crappy experience. I ordered a 6 piece bone-in wing order, 5 pieces boneless strip order, and a side of bulgogi. The bulgogi side was $5.18 and while I wasn't expecting a pound of meat - I guess I'd envisioned more than a few tablespoons? I will NOT be ordering from this Bonchon ever again. I've tossed the strips because they are not just well-done - they are burnt and the breading is lumpy like it's coarsely ground cornmeal?If you read my review and think - wow - this woman is nuts, well - caveat emptor folks.Pictures speak louder than my pissed-off words so here ya go.....

Poor customer service; probably will avoid this location the future. I placed an order while driving to the location and arrived 10-15 minutes later. My husband ran in to grab the order and was told by the cash there were no mobile orders. My husband then texted me to make sure it was the correct location. After verifying the location, i walked in the store. When I approached the cashier she seemed very confused and didn't speak English very well. I attempted to verify the street address with her and she said she doesn't know the store address. She then rudelytold me that I was at Bonchons as if I didn't know. She said there were no mobile orders. She then went and got the manager ( I honestly couldn't tell they were employees because they were wearing street clothes.) The manger was rude and he said there were no mobile orders and there was nothing he could do for me. I showed him my confirmation email and he only repeated he couldn't help me. Then he finally asked me my name and said yes he remembered the order; and it would be a few minutes. He pointed to a ticket hanging in the window and said they had received the order a few minutes ago... Ok... so why did we just go through all of that. I believe they simply didn't want to make the order but gave in after I was persistent.

The service was great and the cashier was very knowledgeable about the product and ingredients. I initially tried Bonchon years ago but I was not a fan as I thought the soy garlic was too salty. However, this time I ordered the Japchae. It was very delicious, flavorful and the portion was adequate. I would definitely come back again.
