Bollywood Bistro

Had an amazing dinner at this bistro! We arrived around 8 PM, and the place was still buzzing with energy--it had a lively yet cozy atmosphere that made for a great dining experience.The highlight of the meal was definitely the yellow crab curry with a coconut base. We ordered it spicy, and it was absolutely perfect--rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of heat. Every bite was a delight!The garlic naan also got me thinking about it every now and then after this visit. Love that the price is reasonable here. Overall, a fantastic spot for authentic Indian flavors in a great setting. Will definitely be coming back.

We'll start with the kudos: Our server Bikram was great- very professional and prompt when we needed something. Other servers and the bartender also rounded regularly to ensure our water cups were full and our adult beverages delivered. The restaurant is classy and has a nice ambience that would be good for a date night or girls night, but is also family friendly. The samosas and garlic naan were delicious. And everything was quite affordable. We spent about $70 after tip with appetizers, wine, and two main course dishes - which is pretty incredible in NOVA. We seldom go out to eat for less than $100. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the rest of the fare. I absolutely adore Indian food. I love how rich an savory and spicy it is. But my Daal Tadka was none of those things and even tasted a bit burned. I had even asked for extra spicy and it was not even a little bit. My husband was satisfied with his lamb curry, but we waited for our main course for nearly an hour - despite Bikram's attentiveness. All in all, we had a lovely time despite the wait but my main course was lackluster and not what I'm accustomed to when I'm in the mood for South Asian cuisine.

Bollywood Bistro is a great spot if you're looking for flavorful Indian food with a modern twist. The quality of the dishes really stood out as everything we tried was fresh and tasted amazing. While it's not 100% authentic in the traditional sense its a great intro to indian food without compromising on taste or quality.Portion sizes were decent, though I'd say the pricing is a bit on the higher side. That said, the experience makes it worth it, especially if you're new to Indian cuisine or want to introduce friends to it. Their cocktail menu is also worth mentioning with some great flavor combinations. Came for a friend's birthday but the ambience and service is great for any occasion.

There is a parking garage so you can park and walk to the restaurant. I will say that the Kabob platter for two is barely for one. I ordered additional dishes (garlic naan & lamb biryani) and my friend and I finished almost everything. Most things had no flavor. The price was pretty high considering the portions. The vibes inside were bougie and cute. The prices match the interior design but not the flavor of food. I would not come back. Service was good and they were attentive.

Service was top notch tonight! Our server paid attention to the details, such as bringing out straws on a tray, refilling rice bowl for the curry before we asked for it, and double check all orders.I really enjoyed the butter chicken(the one next to the naan). The curry was very flavorful and the meat was well cooked. The Chicken Tikka Masala is always good, however this time the chicken was a little dry. It was a little tough to eat alone. My friends and I ordered a spicy Makhan Palak(the green one). It had a nice tingling feeling on the tongue, I like spicy but this was felt a little more spicy than what I'm used too. Nonetheless, the naan was a wonderful touch to bringing the taste together! Making it a wonderful experience. I passed by this location many times not realizing it was an Indian cuisine. The artworks around the restaurant were very interesting and pretty. Really liked the lights, they were aesthetically pleasing. It was a nice and comfy vibe.

I came here for dinner with a friend. Neither of us had been before, and I was a bit unsure given some mixed reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!I ordered the mango martini and the chicken korma and my friend had the butter chicken. We also got a bread basket to share. The mango martini was delicious! Tasted super fresh and had a good balance of mango and liquor. I loved the chicken korma, too. There was lots of depth to the flavor and it had the perfect amount of spice for me (it was never too much). I did get one weird/tough piece of chicken, but the rest was really tender. A *little* dry, but I didn't mind it. The naan was the perfect vehicle for the korma sauce. I was glad we got the basket because it included a few different variations and all were delicious. I was particularly fond of the rosemary one. It was a bit thinner than naan I've had elsewhere, but I actually really liked it. It was still soft and wasn't dry or overcooked like I've sometimes had. I also felt like the prices were extremely reasonable.While I truly enjoyed the food, the service was the biggest highlight. Everything came out quickly. When we first got there, it was pretty full, but we were still checked in on frequently (though not *too* frequently). And that wasn't just from our server - there were also a couple other individuals (I would guess a manager and maybe another server?) who checked in on us a couple times too. They were super friendly, and several greeted us when we came in and said bye when we left. Overall, I thought the food was delicious, the service was great, and the ambiance was really nice. I would definitely come back!

The ambiance is amazing super modern! Service was great. I got the butter chicken but it wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. Mango lassi is delicious not as sweet.

I adore the Great Falls Bollywood Bistro and was excited to see what their Fairfax location had in store!Had a variety of their cocktails, which were amazing, but found their Tandoori platter to be a bit bland. The sear on the meats were delicious, but the spices seemed to be slapped onto the shrimp and chicken to the point where it was a bit overpowering. Perhaps since we came near closing this was an issue.Nonetheless, the staff was very accommodating and the ambiance was very romantic and charming. Loved the music!Will be back to this location to try more menu items and drinks again!

So many great dishes to choose from, and the choice of drinks was equally great. The staff were super kind and patient, as we were dining with a seven year old child. Every dish we chose was perfection, and the lamb shank was probably my favorite. Every curry had a strong depth of flavor. The meats were tender and succulent, and no dish disappointed. Beautiful decor and art, and I am so glad that we were able to experience the restaurant.

We had the pleasure of dining at Bollywood Bistro in Fairfax last nite and I certainly mean "pleasure"! From the moment was walked in, Mr. Sharma and his staff treated us like guests and not mere customers! We were three generations in our party of six and all of us felt we were doted on! I really can't say enough about the staff, the ambiance, the food, etc. Not only did we enjoy exceptional service from Mr. Sharma and his staff, the food here is really good too. The food highlight for us was the Bombay shrimp and the Dum Biryani. Yummy!!! Thank you again Bollywood Bistro staff and we will see you again soon!Joe G.
