Stopped by Bodega for some Spanish tapas and left with mixed feelings. The place itself is really cool--lots of character, with a strong Spanish vibe that makes it feel like a little escape from DC. Definitely a fun spot to grab a drink and share some small plates.Tried a few dishes: potatoes, lamb chops, chicken skewers, and roasted peppers. The lamb chops were super flavorful and cooked just right. The roasted peppers were surprisingly good, a bit unexpected but tasty. The potatoes were well-seasoned but nothing great. The chicken skewers, were a letdown--they had a lot of potential but ended up being a bit too tough and lacked flavors even with the sauce.Service was quick and friendly, which is always a plus and ended up staying for 3 hours.

The people were nice enough but this was the most mediocre food and wine I've had in a while. The chicken croquettes were cold as hell and tasted like something from a middle school classroom. The garlic shrimp was good. The patatas bravas were mildly warm and underwhelming. Omg the wine was horrible. Horrible. Just don't order.

INCREDIBLE experience!! Came with four people, one of whom has a severe dairy intolerance. The staff was so great about knowing which tapas on the table were some she could eat or at least enough to know she should avoid. Everyone we met was kind, friendly and so knowledgeable! We all had more than enough to eat. Favorite dishes at the table; steak tapas, mussels in wine, jamón Serrano bread, pulpa and rissoto. But honestly, not a bad plate. Although a big restaurant, its narrow and maintains a careful intimacy, my chair was close. To the table beside us but never heard them. We couldn't decide on what we all wanted and I'm so glad we picked Bodega and tapas. Incredible!

I've been to Bodega several times and it doesn't disappoint! Our most recent meal hit the spot when we were craving tapas. Their Rosada sangria is to die for. I couldn't help but slurp down 2 of them during dinner. The sangria has just the right amount of sweetness and lovely bubbles. The strawberries soaked in booze are the cherry on top. We ordered a ton of tapas - Croquetas de Pollo, Patatas Bravas, Tortilla Española, Albóndigas Estofadas, Gambas al Ajillo and the Paella de Pollo con Gambón. (Don't judge we were hungry!) All were delicious but the shrimp fell a little short. And the paella didn't have that amazing crust you expect with a paella. But, overall we really enjoyed our meal. I'll be back for another couple more Rosadas.

A night out with the girls after going ring shopping for one of them led us to make reservations here. We ordered an array of tapas (which. We filled two tables) because everyone wanted to try different things. What better way to see what you like? So we ordered and I ate the following: Tabla de Quesos Españoles con 19 Acompañamientos, Ensaladilla Remolacha con Queso de Cabra y Nueces, Pimientos del Piquillo a la Plancha, Patatas Bravas, Calamares Fritos con Ali-Oli, Camarones a la Plancha, Espinacas a la Catalana, Albóndigas Estofadas, Chuletillas de Cordero con Vino Tinto, Chorizo de la Casa a la Parilla, and Mejillones al Vapor. Yes, everything was delicious, along with the many drinks we had.

I expected a dipping sauce with the chicken croquettes but had to request it and ended up paying for it! The small dishes I ordered lacked any sort of character and punch. It wasn't anything special, just another tapas restaurant. The ones I've tried in Northern California have been much better.

A nice spot for tapa's brunch. Foods were delicious, sangria comes in pitcher. You can do all you can eat or order individually. Dark, rustic interior. Fairly comfortable seating. However, service can use a bit improvement. During our visit, the waiters gathered around one side of the bar chitchatting, without keep an eye on the customers. My guess is the manager probably not there that day. Do recommend improvement on services.

I am sitting at the bar right now. The Caipirinhas were very well made. I started with dátiles con tocino and sepia a la plancha which were exquisite. Eager to try another tapa, I had the lamb chops. Wow. If you are passing by, you won't go wrong stopping here!

Cute spot to grab dinner after exploring Georgetown. Came in on a Saturday evening for dinner with friends and sat in the back patio area which was super nice on a beautiful summer day!We ended up ordering the Pollo Y Chorizo Paella along with a bunch of tapas such as the Patatas Bravas, Lamb Chops and Mejillones al Vapor. They prefaced the Paella would take a long to cook before confirming our order. Also, double checked our various food allergies. Truly appreciated how friendly and accommodating the staff was from beginning to end. Overall the food was okay. I personally wasn't a fan of the Paella since it was heavy on the cheese (not the best for the lactose intolerant friends). Maybe I just didn't read the menu correctly. 3.5/5 - Food4/5 - Service & Ambiance Worth a try if you're in the area!

This is NOT vegan friendly or well priced. Very little on the brunch menu is plant based and so I ordered from the tapas menu. Some things could be made vegan by leaving off the aioli, but I went with what seemed more hearty - grilled vegetables. Unfortunately, that turned out to be not vegetables themselves but a blended dip (they serve it with what looks like buttery bread and yogurt, neither of which I eat). It was maybe 5 fairly small bites, certainly not worth the more than $15 they charge. I was so disappointed. The place was also just *way* too loud, and my friend and I had gone there to catch up, so we wound up going elsewhere to be able to easily talk to each other. The music wasn't well chosen for DC right now either (seriously, YMCA on full blast after this last inauguration? - sigh).
