This place was a bit underwhelming. The arcade options were mostly outdated, vintage games that kids wouldn't really have an interest in/be able to play. When I arrived I tried to get a game card and the machine was messing up repeatedly, but there was no staff around to help with anything and when I finally tracked someone down they basically shrugged me off and said, "sorry, there's another machine upstairs" and didn't do anything to actually help me. The game cards are way overpriced in my opinion too. As for the food, I was really disappointed. For the price, I expected the pizza to be enough to actually fill me up but it's just bigger than a "personal" pizza. I could've comfortably eaten the entire thing myself, let alone have enough for my son with me. The service was not bad, but just seemed disconnected and he made me feel like he couldn't care less about what my experience was like. It got pretty busy too so I ended up waiting on this guy for a while. Loud music, mediocre service, and an underwhelming "arcade" all added up to a very bland experience overall. Honestly, my son had more fun playing with the toy rocket ship and dump truck they had out at a kids table than anything else in this entire place.

First time here since January and I have to say I def enjoyed the ability to sit outside on their patio and enjoy people watching, the sun, and the overall outdoor city vibe. The avocado toast, chili dog, and mimosas were top tier ! I definite also recommend the nachos and treating yourself to a flight !! - the grapefruit cocktail was my favorite !& special shout out to Keyanna ! She is truly a gem

Overpriced food. Usually for $17.95 and most restaurants you get three tacos. This place was 2 tacos. One hotdog for almost $11. Granted the dog was delicious. This place is simply not worth the wallet. Games are awesome here but if you're hungry or still drunk from a Nats game, this is not your place to chow down.

Maybe this spot is better during an event or happy hour...but very underwhelming on a Sunday afternoon. In fact the restroom seemed to be destroyed from the previous Saturday night. The place was nearly empty, but our server hardly came by our table. We had to go up to the bar to get our tab. They were out of several beer options and the espresso martini had decent flavor, but left a lot to be desired visually.

The Boardwalk was ok. Loved that it's off the water, but it's typical bar food. We had the nachos with chicken and it was really good! Service was good too. During our visit it wasn't crowded. For it to be an arcade, there wasn't a lot of games and they were expensive to pay. But that's to be expected. Overall it's ok for a cute date night.

Such a fun spot to grab some tacos and quesadillas! Lots of sitting outside. We had a lovely waitress who was super attentive, informative and kept refilling our waters multiple times without having to ask. She was on top of it! Even let my friend charge her phone. Food came out rather quickly! I enjoyed my mahi mahi tacos , salad was fresh too!My friend enjoyed her chicken quesadillas-- just wish she had a side of salsa and sour cream to dip them in. :)TVs were on but no volume which was fine and for being outside right by the "board walk" it wasn't that noisy.I would come back to try more -- maybe come for HH!

My experience at Boardwalk was exceptional from start to finish. As soon as I arrived, our server, Keona, introduced herself with a promise of the best customer service ever, and she absolutely delivered. She was attentive, friendly, and personable, offering excellent recommendations throughout. John at the bar was equally fantastic. The bottomless mimosas were a hit, especially at such a reasonable price. We also loved the beautiful view of the wharf. While I think the breakfast buffet could use a little improvement, overall, Boardwalk is a chill spot that's worth a visit!

Great spot and addition to all the Wharf has to offer. Boardwalk is a convenient stop pre or post dinner/concert and also is a great venue for events. While they have an outdoor patio for prime people watching, inside is the attractions with countless modern and classic arcade games. I got the full nostalgia effect playing the Simpsons and Ninja Turtles arcade games. Staff was quick and friendly and they have numerous bars and rooms for private events or mingling. The TVs are also plentiful for watching games in-between arcade games.

Not tonight, I was told. As you can see from my previous posts, this is one of my favorite places on the Wharf to get a cocktail. My visits here have been highlighted by reasonably priced drinks and the best bartenders I could ask for. I was leaving for home after the "Cocktails and Curling" event on the Wharf around 9pm and I walked by Boardwalk. I thought I'd stop in and have one for the road. I had my dog with me (also shown on my previous posts), but the outside serving area windows were down and I didn't see any other patrons, so I went inside. I don't normally take my dog inside if there's seating outside but, during my past experiences here, he and I were invited to sit inside where it was warmer. He was even given a "puppuccino". He's very well trained and sits quietly at my feet no matter what is going on around him. I wouldn't take him in, otherwise. The gentleman greeting us at the door asked if we wanted to sit outside and said he could raise the windows and let the bartender know I was there. I said "No thanks, we'll just sit inside. We do that sometimes". His response - "Not tonight. " I asked his name and he told me his name was Jeremy. We smiled at each other and I left. No drama here, folks. Let me note here that there were only two or three people sitting at the bar so available space was not the issue. What's surprising about this is that I've been there quite a few times with my dog and sat at both the inside and outside bars and have only encountered friendly bartenders, servers, and patrons. The only attention my dog has received has been people wanting to pet him and staff offering him treats or a bowl of water. Why am I highlighting this ONE negative experience? Because never once was I asked if my dog is a service animal. Most service professionals are aware that a red vest means nothing; you can buy those on the internet. A real service animal has extensive training and testing and is not required by federal law to wear any identifying items. Sometimes, people do put a vest on their dog and sometimes they don't. I even do it if I'm going to a new place with my service dog when I require his help and I'm not sure how we'll be received. I'm also aware of the ADA and the laws pertaining to service animals and how to answer any legitimate questions related to him. I'm also very aware that it's a federal offense to claim your dog is a service animal when it really isn't.Yes, I can pull the ADA card if I have to, but I'd prefer to go places where I and my dog are welcomed - not tolerated because the law forces them to. I've also learned that starting out by quoting the law and my right to have him will only lead to an unpleasant time for everyone involved. My message to bar/restaurant staff is this - never assume that just because the individual doesn't look like someone with a disability and the dog is small and cute, that it's a pet. Just ask. It's one of the questions you can feel free to ask and I promise you that if it truly is a service animal, the person will happily answer and not be offended.

I love this place, for someone who lives in Pentagon City and rarely ventures to DC I can say I am very happy I did today. The Boardwalk has a very cool and comfortable vibe. The lighting is magnificent, a very light and open feel. The first floor bar where I was watching my Patriots beat the Bengals was hugeeee! Fantastic selection of beer on tap. Lots of local craft beer too. The Bartender Sophie was super nice and personable, she took very good care of my buddy and I and all her guests, so big shout out to the service! I really can't wait to come back next time and enjoy some more beer sports and atmosphere and maybe try the food too. If you are trying to find a great place to watch the game at the Wharf this is definitely the spot! Thanks!
