Bluejacket is a brewery, located in the Navy Yard area. We came here as a large group get-together, being seated at one of the party tables upstairs. We ordered:+Deviled Eggs - topped with bacon-onion jam, Calabrian mayo, and chives+Chicken Wings - choice of buffalo, mumbo, or sweet & smoky dry rub; we opted for buffalo+Fried Calamari - prepared with semolina, pickled hot cherry bomb peppers, and topped with parsley; served with lemon aioli and marinara+Tots with chili and cheese fondue - large cubed potatoes that were deep-fried; housemade+a Bluejacket Double - twin 3.5 oz beef patties, American cheese, dill pickles, lettuce, caramelized onions, and a million island dressing, nestled in between a potato roll; served with a side of fries+Big Train Burger - 8z house beef blend, applewood bacon, cheddar, smoked beer battered onion ring, jalapeno relish, mayo, and house steak sauce, between a potato roll; served with a side of fries+Buttermilk Fried Chicken - half chicken with a side of coleslaw, pickles, and hot pepper aioli+and, the Garden & Grain Salad - with quinoa, endive, radicchio, escarole, squash, green apple slices, Aleppo navy beans, pumpkin seed, and feta cheese, dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette; unfortunately, the leaves didn't seem fresh, and the beans and the squash wasn't a great addition; the dressing was heavy, which was appreciated, but the salad itself was not tasty nor flavorful, and it was just a 'wet' dishThe interior was airy and beautiful; service was friendly.Limited metered parking in the area.+Tots+friendly service+limited metered street parking in the area

What a cool atmosphere and cozy vibe. The industrial architecture and low lighting make this perfect for grabbing a drink. I came on a Saturday evening and it was busy but not crowded. I could hear everyone in my group. The sour I had (blue jacket crush-a-lot) was just okay. Not bad, but would consider it average. My friend had an espresso martini which she said for a brewery wasn't too bad. Overall, the drinks are just okay. The have plenty to choose from, but i loved the atmosphere!

Great brewery with delicious beer. Also the beer is huge and is reminiscent of octoberfest. It was a chill spot to hang out with the boys watch football and talk life. The space is really big and ample space to enjoy a great brew. The server was very attentive and knew her beer.

Bluejacket is a nice venue with plenty of space and open later than many places in the area. I have been a couple times and service is pretty good. I thought they had a happy hour special but they don't. The bartenders were nice and offered some suggestions on where to go for live music. We did eat and the food was fine. I know DC is expensive and this place met that expectation. It does have an outdoor seating area and is really close to the Navy yard (base). I never totally love it but don't dislike it either. And not that I expect it but they don't give a military discount.

The cat fish sandwich was unreal, very melt in mouth, flaky, etc. The salad was almost like a coleslaw, very tasty.

Stopped by just for beer and took advantage of their $10 liter special. I ordered the Blue Sky beer, which was decent--not amazing, but not bad either. It's a good spot if you're looking for a deal on beer.

Stopped by for a quick drink for a friend's birthday-- definitely will be back! My friends got some beer tastings and overall said they enjoyed their selection. I had the strawberry gin gin mule and it was great-- excellent balance of sweetness to tanginess. We didn't have anything to eat, but the food menu looked extensive! The waitress we had was attentive, quick and friendly. There is plenty of seating. Unsure if you need reservations as we walked in and were seated immediately.
