This is the kind of place where I want to try their collards, baked beans, and fried fish. Is this the best food in the world? No but it's an institution making fresh food for affordable prices. Will I go back? Yes. If you get the bacon egg and cheese make sure you tell them double egg. Heads up, Pork chop sandwich is bone-in.

I didn't know about Blue and White Carry Out until I visited the African American Museum down the street. Blue and White looked ramshackle but had a line waiting outside. The line reassured me. I ordered a fried chicken breast and wing dinner. It came with sides of mashed potatoes and gravy, and collard greens. The food seemed home-cooked and was absolutely delicious! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. For $9 this was a generous portion and a good value. I will be back!

Staple spit in the City of Alexandria serving up some unique dishes kind of diner style on the go. Cash only accepted and don't expect fanciness but it has all the delicious dishes you can find simple and for less. Their deep fried chicken is crunchy, juicy, greasy but flavorful. Don't let the cover of this book fool you. Stop by soon!

AMAZING spot! Super cheap and tasty food is hard to find but this place is bringing it. Service was quick and the food was good. Loved the half smoke and the fried chicken was amazing. The other reviewers who comment on the collard greens are on point! They were so good and definitely a highlight of the meal. Highly recommend and I can't wait to hit this spot up again!

This little joint hit the spot for lunch when I had a meeting in the area. I went with the burger platter: the collard greens were a great side, the burger and sauce were great. I'll definitely be back when in the area.

It's been a while since I've come to this place but they never disappoint on that chicken sandwich! NEVER! I prefer the drumstick and thigh combo but they also sell the wing and breast. I bought the pork chop sandwich for a friend so I will update this post when I get feedback or just go on over and tell them I sent you. They have many other items like half smokes, beans, and other sides be as well. I paid a total of $8.50 for both of these sandwiches so the price is also right. Drive slowly or you'll miss it on the corner.

the chicken sandwiches are to die for as well as the pork chops sandwiches. just thinking about this place take me back. breakfast sandwich are good as well

Hidden mom and pops and food were affordable and delicious. Collard green was on point.

Everything is good here don't forget to bring cash steak burger and the fried chicken very well seasoned
