Bird's Kitchen

I found out about this restaurant from Instagram! This is my 5th time ordering from Birds! I usually cook dinner daily and eat out about twice a month. THIS IS MY GO TO RESTAURANT.There aren't many great restaurants on this end and Bird's kitchen by far the freshest, cleanest and has the best food quality. Plus, I can't say enough good things about their amazing customer service! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine care. My food is always hot. I had one minor inconvenience, and they made it right. Do yourself a favor, and support this black owned, lovely business. You won't be disappointed.

My experience with Bird's Kitchen started when i called to place my order. Bird took my order and was immediately so warm, friendly, and welcoming! When I arrived I had a bit of a wait, which was to be expected, but Bird greeted me and explained that it would be a few minutes. It's a small waiting area, but a few people came in and out and all seemed to be regular customers. That's usually an indication that the food will be amazing. The saucy wings were sweet and spicy. Really nice flavor and perfectly cooked! The Thanksgiving turkey burger was unique and really flavorful, with the onions and peppers cooked in the patty and the cranberry topping. The fries may have been my favorite thing. They were fresh, hot, and delicious! The strawberry cheesecake looked too good not to get, and I'm happy I did! Peach lemonade was also a hit!

Whaaaaaaaaat?!?! This place is AMAZING. The saucy wings are on point. The burger (I got the 2/4) was delicious and HUGE. Some of the best fries I've had in I don't know how long. Like I literally can't think of a better place to get fries in the DMV. Strawberry lemonade. Banana pudding. Delicious and delicious.And!!!! The quality is ridiculous for the price. Maybe the best value in DC. I'm not from the neighborhood but the next time I'm within a 5-mile radius, I'm coming to Bird's Kitchen.

There is this neighborhood eatery I saw @fabfoodieinthecity (Like & Follw) go to right. There was this burger they have that I had to have!! I pulled up!! "Best fries in the city" is what one reviewer said of Bird's Kitchen. Served hot and with crunch, Miss Birdie's fries are darn good. So is her crab cake.Located in Ward 7's Civic Betterment neighborhood, Bird's Kitchen is worth the drive. Park along the street and walk into the no-frills, takeout-only restaurant. Likely, you'll meet Miss Birdie (the co-owner and chef). Her story is inspiring. (She wants to encourage more foot traffic in the neighborhood.) And her food homemade.She sells turkey burgers, hamburgers, crab cake with no filling, banana pudding, lemonade. It's all fresh and made to order.If you're craving home cooking, head to Bird's Kitchen.

Black owned carry out in DC that is truly a hidden gem. The flavors with the food & homemade teas are amazing.As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by Auntie Bird herself , with a smile and positive energy. You can tell the food is made with love & passion. The crabcake sandwhich has 0 filler !! & that SAUCY SAYCE is SPECIAL ...I'd put it on everything !!

This establishment is small. It is an order and take to go spot. It's cute though. We served promptly. Service was outstanding! I even had a laugh with Sheena. LoL! The menu is limited to a few items. My husband said, "The crab cake is good. It's well seasoned." He compared it to a place we've been going to for over 20 years and he said, "Bird's Kitchen is a very close 2nd." All in all, this is a good food spot.

I hesitated with this review, but hopefully she can learn from this. I ordered a cheeseburger, added grilled onions and the 'saucey wings'. The young lady was nice, she said she was the only one working. The wings were tasty and fresh. My problem was the burger!! It tasted as if it was a frozen patty and the meat was HARD! I really had issues biting into it!! Again, I don't know her story and I wish her well but she definitely should not have sold me that burger!! I am NEVER on that side ! So most likely will never go back. Good Luck Sis!!!

I love this place! Salmon bites are personally my favorite with the sauce.* chefs kiss* but we can't forget about the salt & pepper fries! I'm a French Fry connoisseur and these are Top of my list. Super clean & the staff always have great energy!

Good eats overall i recommend they fries.Service didn't take long and got it on time.
