This is the only carryout place I come to when I visit DC. I haven't been in a while because I moved to Howard County but when I'm in the city I go there

I love carryout wings, so I decided to give this a try since it's a couple blocks from my place. Wings were fresh and hot and were nice and crisp. Flavor is similar to my most recent fav Jerry's on Georgia Ave, but more expensive.Gave the Szechuan chicken lunch special a try bc I wanted to see how Americanized it'd be and was hoping for something more authentic. Alas, it was bamboo broccoli chicken without a hint of Szechuan spices. That's ok, It was good and the broccoli wasn't overcooked and soft. I can go to Panda Gourmet if I want something with more spices.

Born and raised in this neighborhood. This place has been a landmark in the community. Chicken wings and Mumbo sauce from BIG CHINA!

If you're from the Northeast and want Chinese food that tastes like Massachusetts takeout -- look no further than big China. Huge portions, I assume a metric shitton of MSG - definitely the move. 12/10 highly recommend!!!

We have to agree with Michelle. Ordered $80. 00 dollars worth of food for four people. We had to throw the food away. Smelled bad, tasted bad and/or flavorless. All of it! The way I see it, most of the original cooks are gone. But you might get lucky! It cost me $80.00 dollars to be rid of this joint.

Ok Since I am an original Washingtonian I will have to speak on BIG CHINA... I have never been un-satisfied leaving this place, yes it may be a health hazard, yes the neighborhood folks come in and bother besides that it is a place to go after a night on the town! I remember being a kid and my Father taking my sister and I there, we used to always get a fish sandwich... Although I would not EVER recommend this as a everyday type of place to go being that it is pretty FAT to eat this everyday.... I go every once in a while maybe once a year to be honest... I have their number in my phone so when I come into town and I'm looking for carry-out food Big China is the place to call and go!!! the CASH ONLY policy gets on my nerves... I wish they would change it and that's why I cant give them 5 stars! HA!and I'm out, Ghost....

Order from there today. Just a simple order of two steak sandwiches on with Provolone and fries. But instead of what I ordered they gave me a, fish sandwich! My mom wanted steak and cheese not, fish! So I call them they proceeded to argue with me. Not even apologize for their mistake, wanted more money to correct the mistake. Nah we've been going there for years.

Don't order the Mongolian shrimp. You pay $10 for a quart of onion with about 8-10 shrimp ... the crab Rangoons were good. Everything was HOT . Service was prompt. I did a pick up though can't speak for delivery. Maybe if I order the Tso's shrimp next time it will be a better ratio of shrimp to veggie. I hate onions with a passion so this was especially hard for me to eat. If you can see I started picking them out on my plate
