Benny's Sub Shop

It's so very cool to see they're still around, especially post the CV-19 shut down. My son has been back home in Maryland for less than a week and has already ordered his usual 2x. I'm not hyping them up, it's typically Asian-American carry-out food dining that checks off the fanfare list except it's not in DC or PG county. And no Silly, they don't do mumbo sauce like DC or a decent PG county carry out, lol lol just be thankful they're in LaPlata. And if you're unaware about mumbo sauce or better yet, haven't been raised on it (lol there's so many imitations, including the one that's in stores - congrats to them tho) disregard the last sentence.

My family got food poisoning here like 9 months ago... health department found lots of violations... just stay away unless you want to get sick. Used to be a good place to eat now it has gone down in the dumps it's a shame.

Nice place to have take out Chinese food and sub specially Chinese food all family like it so much and stuff were very nice too totally recommend this place

My mom is in a nursing home, so every now and then she wants something different from the normal fair. Amanda always addresses me and knows exactly what unit my mom is on. Although, I haven't eaten there. I have used them for others.

Benny's Sub Shop, LaPlata,MD. Excellent steak and cheese sandwich, fried wings and general tso chicken. The staff is very nice and the service was wonderful.

we've tried various local "Chinese" restaurants. we thought we'd found a good one. the first order we placed was for Steamed dumplings (8 in an order!), Moo Shu Pork and beef lo mein. the Mooshu was very good with very thin wrappers that were strong. the steamed dumplings were pretty good. the Lo mein was bland. the other things we've ordered have been orange chicken- goodgeneral Tso chicken - goodegg rolls- okbeef and broccoli - nothing to write home aboutKung Pao chicken and shrimp - terrible. only giving 2 stars because most things are just ok. lo mein should be easy to make good. i don't get that one. we were surprised at how bad the Kung pao was. I guess our search continues if Goodies in Indian Head still served Moo shu we wouldn't have quit them .

My sister and i really enjoyed Bennys can't wait to get back to Maryland so we have it again

Do not order food from this place. If you do check your food before you leave. I paid for something not given on several occasions. They would not refund me the difference so I went through my bank to get the difference. I will not eat there again.

This place use to be good now its horrible never eat here again place is dirty now food was disgusting tofu fried so badly it was like chewing leather the rice was old probably from the morning! Spring rolls are not spring rolls they are fried mushy sickening egg rolls this place has gone wayyyyyy down hill if i could give zero stars i would. You suck now benny!!!!

We wanted to satisfy a craving for wings w/ mumbo sauce. They gave us what appeared to be approx. 3oz of sauce (photo attached) w/the 20 wings we purchased. We stressed that it wouldn't be enough and they refused to provide any more w/out charging us! Hopefully, the food is better than their service!
