Always solid food at a reasonable price. Great selection of drinks and a bar as well!

Dined here for dinner, while in DC for a conference with colleagues. The ambience is nice, stylish and the lighting is done well as another reviewer said. The service is also very good and on point. The food was just ok. I got the siracha noodles which is marked as spicy on the menu. Not spicy at all actually it was sweet. Two of my coworkers who cannot eat spicy tried it and also thought it was not spicy but sweet. My third coworker asked what the spiciest dish on menu was, drunken noodles, and ordered this. He felt there was a hint of spice but definitely not spicy. Red curry was ordered at the table. This was flavorful and hit the spot for the person that ordered. I had a bite myself and found it to be better flavored than the siracha noodles. We got brussel sprouts for the table, it was delicious. The drinks were alcohol forward in flavor.

This was a recommendation from one of my friends who had been here before and loved the food. We came here for a friends birthday (04/15). We had a reservation for 7:00 p.m. & was told that if we didn't arrive by 7:00 p.m. our reservation would be released. Well of course we were all fashionably late. Upon walking in I was greeted by one of the hostesses and told her that I was the 7:00 p.m. party & she told me that she was going to dismantle my table in 3 minutes (7:15 p.m.). Drinks: Once the majority of our party arrived the server took drink orders. The drink orders consisted of 2 Thai ice teas, which was pretty good. 2 hot green teas & 2 drinks from the bar: not sure what one was but my friend said it was good but my other friend sent her drink back...some type of spicy margarita.Apps: the apps were goodEntrées: Most of the table ordered the crab fried rice which was just OK...I did like the salt fish that one of my companions ordered. The fish was not dried out and had a nice flakiness. No one ordered dessert.Atmosphere: the decor was cute but I wouldn't suggest this as a date spot on a Saturday as the other patrons can get rather loud.Service: lackluster at best...had to keep asking for the same thing more than twice is ridiculous. I wouldn't say that I'm head over heels to go back but I'll

I've been wanting to try Beau Thai for a while now but we ended up just doing take out, so this is a take out review. The flavors of everything was good. The pad thai was great, we got chicken with ours. We also got chicken pad se ew which I thought was delicious as well. Penang curry is one of my favorite go to's, and I was pleased with the flavor of this one. I also tried the wonton soup, which honestly, might have been my favorite of all the dishes. While the flavors were great, my biggest issue was the portion size. It might be a product of skimflation, but the portion size was very small. The Penang curry was tiny, and the pad thai and pad se ew were small as well. The wonton soup was too small to really share with anyone but I was content with that because I wanted it all to my self. As you can see, the paper containers are less than half filled with each entree coming in at $17.00. I might order from here again, but the price was disappointing given the portion size. I can't comment on the service or the ambience, but the food travelled well and the flavors were great.

We ordered pickup here and the staff was very flexible and helpful - I think I called back three times to change our ETA and each time they were accommodating and flexible. I didn't enter the restaurant but my friend who did the pickup said it looked like a really nice spot.We ordered the following food and it was all good, 4 stars!Drunken noodleGreen curry - note this was quite spicy. They were able to make a mild version but took out the peppers, but this was still spicy!Pad thai

Ordered some meals to go here. Service was quick and was able to get the food fairly fast! The drunken noodles were good, pad Thai was average. We also ordered a side of fried chicken which was really dry and came with no dipping sauce. Would order from here again, but maybe skip the fried chicken next time.

Solid Thai spot in Logan Circle/Shaw.We showed up at peak dinner time on Saturday but managed to sneak into what might've been the last table. If possible I'd make a reservation. We tried a variety of dishes, including pad see ew, drunken noodles, kao pad nam prik pao, and yellow curry. I think everything came out well, though there wasn't anything incredible.I am always partial to pad see ew and Beau Thai did an excellent job. The beef was flavorful and approaching melt-in-your-mouth status. The vegetables were cooked to a nice crisp-tender. If I were to nitpick, I'd say that the noodles clumped together just a little bit, but it really wasn't that big of an issue.Ambiance is a little on the darker side but it is still a really nice place, in my opinion. I would definitely come back!

Found Beau Thai based on raving reviews, we enjoyed our meal however the food wasn't rave worthy. We had the Garden Rolls for appetizer, Drunken Noodles, and Curry noodles with Chicken. The best of the three was the curry noodles as it had all the best of a usual curry dish but on noodles. The restaurant was busy but not packed and a causal setting.

Good ambiance, good service. Unfortunately, I can't say this about the food. We had two soups. Both lacked that extra zing of Thai soup that was bearable. Fried fish came on a limp washed-out lettuce, with two mediocre sauces lacking flavors. The shrimp with garlic & asparagus was bland to put it kindly. Six measly shrimp tossed in with garlic over bit-sized limp asparagus was anything but Thai! Beau Thai, a Thai Restaurant, charges extra for spice & Thai flavor We have been to this restaurant several times over the years and rated it good.

Wanted to like this place but the flavors just were not there. If you are looking for Asian food you are probably going to be ok.If you want Thai food the way it should be cooked, seasoned and flavored then go somewhere else for your Thai food.I should have turned around when I didn't see any Thai people except the workers.Even some of the menu is definitely Vietnamese and not Thai. They don't ask you how spicy you want it. Another sign you need to leave because a Thai person would leave the place with their food untouched. The decor looks nice. Homey pictures of people in Thailand. The staff are ok but if I'm asking for authentic Thai food and you give me bland, lacking flavor, lacking salt this is a problem. They want to charge you for nam plaa! This should be free especially when you should be using it in your recipes and it is needed.I'm sad.
