Barrel & Bushel

I went to Barrel & Bushel for lunch. They were full with reservations for sit down, but I was able to find a seat in the open seating bar area. This area was a great spot to watch the games and for a quick casual bite!We got the tater tots poutine and a burger, both of which were made well and very tasty! The tater tots were my favorite and were very fresh and crispy!

This restaurant is located on the plaza at Tysons Corner shopping mall. They have a large seating area both indoors and outdoors. Inside there is a lot of wood and metal, kind of an industrial-rustic-chic vibe, with one wall full of coolers containing various beverages, from beer kegs to wine to bottled water. The menu is basically salads, soups and sandwiches, but with elevated and/or unexpected flavor combinations. Our table ordered a lamb burger, smoked she crab soup, and winter chop salad topped with amber maple salmon. We were there on Thanksgiving Day and they did offer a special Thanksgiving Plate. We all enjoyed our meals. All of the desserts sounded good but we were too full to partake, we did get cappuccinos, though, which made a nice finish to the meal. Service was prompt and friendly.

Conveniently located in the hotel which was nice. They have a great bar selection as well as food. I can imagine in the summertime with the outdoor patio that this place is fun to be at. We checked in with the hostess and she told us it was about a 25 minute wait but informed us if we wanted we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar as we were hungry and wanted to eat. Initially it took some time for us to be waited on but that quickly turned around. We started out with a couple drinks and then placed our order. My wife went with the winter chopped salad and I went with a burger and fries. We were surprised how quickly the food came out. My burger was a little undercooked from what I ordered but it was still good. We both enjoyed the fries and my wife's salad. The convenience of location and the prices make this worth a try.

had a great time here. the food was fresh and quick. I had it to go but everyone seemed to be having a great time here. THe servers were friendly and so was the receptionist. Fairly priced for what you get. came back 2x in 3 days

Solid. Didn't find the happy hour to be much of a deal in terms of food so I only drank ($7 house alcohol) and otherwise ordered from the main menu. The chicken sandwich was a good size portion of food but lacked in overall flavor and was a bit on the dry side. Fries were great! Bartender was attentive even though it was packed.

The service was slow for lunch time and it took almost an hour to order. I did like the burger I ordered but they repeatedly got our order wrong and still charged us for it after letting them know that this wasn't what we ordered. But the process of ordering and getting our food and checking out took over 2 hours. The food was nothing out of the ordinary. The view was nice and the day was beautiful to sit out in the patio area.

Came here for Thanksgiving meal with family. The staff is attentive and the food was served quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Park in the adjacent deck on level four and walk across the walkway to Plaza level. The restaurant is adjacent to the Hyatt. I had the Crab soup, and it was very delicious! My wife had the Salmon salad, and she enjoyed it very much too.

Came here for dinner with a mentor and had a great time! Loved the slight outdoor ambiance on a gorgeous summer day in VA.For my entree, I went with the Amber Maple Salmon. It was a delicious blend of pine nuts and amber ale maple glaze. The charred broccolini was a great touch and paired perfectly with the medium well salmon. It was a bit tricky to cut apart the broccolini, but the taste was crisp and flavorful.The service was speedy and friendly. Would definitely come back for happy hour deals!

Great ambience with great friendly staff but still needs improvement-seemed off on proportion of staff to customers, always very busy and service lags a bit.Crab dip I ordered was bland eventho ugh it was full of gooey cheese. Pretzel was the best pretzel I had and was warm & fresh! Food selection was not my fav, took me awhile to settle on crab dip & pretzel which was not bad. It's better to share because it was 1 note for my taste.My friend ordered the crab cake sandwich plus loaded tater tots-too much potatoes. She told me it was not the best crab cake shés had in comparison to other nearby venue. All in all the food was okay, which I'd give 3 stars.Still, Great ambience & friendly staff deserved 4 stars rating but as I said, service needs improvement albeit I will not penalize the team of servers because I could tell they worked hard during our visit. Reception was welcoming. Place is more Hhr for beer drinkers more than anything. Lively atmosphere-great for large group of friends but not one I'd frequent.
