I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday weekend, and we were lucky to score reservations at Barmini. The ambiance is charming and eclectic, which makes for a fun and unique vibe. The hostesses were welcoming, and the bartenders were not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about the cocktails--exactly what you'd expect for a place like this.We did the 5-cocktail flight experience, which takes you through the decades. Each drink was full of flavor and beautifully crafted, with the bartender explaining the ingredients and the history behind them. They also took the time to ask about our preferences, which made the experience feel personalized.My top picks were the Cosmopolitan and the Al Pastor Margarita (both packed with flavor!). The Hot Buttered Rum was a close runner-up. As for the least favorite, the Milk Punch Negroni wasn't bad--just not my personal taste, since I'm not a big fan of Negronis.The snack menu is also worth checking out. Definitely get the grilled cheese--it's a perfect pairing with the cocktails!Overall, a fantastic spot for a memorable cocktail experience, especially if you enjoy the art of mixology.

The wife and I came here for her birthday and man what a great experience. The staff was 100% on it the entire night. The interior is really fun yet classy. Our initial seats were not comfortable and luckily the staff happily moved us to a different spot.The menu is simple. There's a list of cocktails but also a tasting menu. We opted to do the tasting menu which includes several cocktails. When we received the first cocktail, I noted it was much too sweet for my liking. They allowed me to keep the price of the tasting menu but swap it for cocktails more to my liking. Service is above and beyond with this place. The whole experience was really fun and is a great spot for a date night

What has not been said about barmini?!?! I thought that a cocktail flight would be something that is fairly light and leaves one hanging for more drinks. Rather than that, the cocktail flight isn't just a series of drinks; it's a carefully curated journey that enhances, elevates, and surprises with every sip. And it's bold! Thank goodness they have a food menu (though quite pricy) so that you don't walk out too drunk. But returning back to the cocktails, the barmini flight is a brilliant example of how cocktails can be as integral if not central to the dining experience. Every drink is an expert composition of flavors, crafted to perfection with the mixology as part of the show and surprise your senses in unexpected ways. It's a truly unforgettable experience that redefines what a "drink" can be.

Deliciousness - 5/5Happiness - 4/5I've been wanting to go here for some time and finally took the plunge (my official apologies to my bank account). That said, this definitely lived up to both the reputation and my expectations, making it a super memorable and ultra boozy date night.The bar is full of fun, eye catching decorations, and expertly laid out so that nobody's conversations intrude upon your own. They take you through a menu of drinks with a shared theme (currently, drinks inspired by Jose Andreas' hometown in Spain) and each drink is served like a mini show while made in front of you. You definitely can get silly (sliding liquid nitrogen across the floor for a fog show) and messy (one drink is poured from a spout into your mouth), and of course, classy. I hadn't really had anything like each of the drinks served, and the craftsmanship was so fun that even if a drink wasn't necessarily my favorite thing, I had a good time experiencing it (I know that sounds snooty, but it's true!). The food was magnificent (note: they only offer small plates, if you want a meal you have to go to the attached Minibar restaurant). Hands down, the beef tartare was our favorite. I've never had better. The wagyu beef was expertly prepared, and it was laid on a crunchy wasabi chip that enhanced the dish and changed the flavor as you chewed. We also got stuffed waffles (one had foie gras with peanuts, another steak and a cheese foam, and a third with mushrooms) and while not quite as good as the tartare, was still scrumptious. We ended with a key lime popsicle that was a bit too sour for me, but my wife loved every bite (and it was a great mouth cleanser at the end of the night). The service was a bit overzealous (at one point they apologized that another couple came up and spoke to us. We were totally OK with them chatting with us). But I do appreciate that they make a concerted effort to make everyone in there feel special. This is highly recommended for a milestone celebration or all-out date night!

My husband made a reservation for my 40th bday and it was a great experience! We were seated at a couch towards the back (discovered that way that there are secret rooms, I assume, for those willing and able to pay $$$$$). We had two hours to drink six cocktails. There was so much creativity with the cocktails--a pineapple pizza one with Parmesan foam for example and a cocktail where they made sorbet out of liquid nitrogen and poured bubbles over it. One thing to know is that if you don't like any of the six cocktails, they will quickly and happily bring you a replacement. There was a smoky whiskey one that my husband loved but wasn't for me and they brought an awesome daiquiri.It is pricey -- we finished all six cocktails which is a lot for two hours. I drank a lot of water and ordered the mini waffles/philly cheesesteak which were super light and very tasty. Would love to go back for another special occasion--perhaps in the high roller room lol.

The grilled cheese was absolutely delicious The mocktails were fun. Our server Ali was a perfect gentleman. Upon walking in we were pleasantly surprised by the clean and chic decor. Can't wait to get back!!!

Excellence redefined. This micro cocktail bar is regarded as one of the best for a very good reason. It truly is one of the best. If you want to feel like you are one of the most special people that has ever existed. Come here.The staff here are some of the most charismatic, bubbly, personable people I have ever met in my life, they come to your table, prepare your cocktail in front of you, and explain to you exactly why this cocktail is something of beauty. Cocktails, lovingly, crafted, and lovingly thought through and then lovingly executed just for you. The design of the interior like I've ever seen before it is funky and fun and intimate, and I would live there given the opportunity getting a reservation for here and coming here, the highlight of my trip is now my partner are looking forward to doing at least it is worth every penny.

Barmini is hands down the absolute best place on D.C. to grab a cocktail. The place is staffed by the most professional and friendliest people you will ever meet. The team crafting the cocktails are true masters at what they do. They have developed what can only be described in a glass. The food selection is small but mighty, always helps to have a two Michelin starred restaurant next door. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous with a little bit of funk added to it. It is covered in what could be described as conversation pieces. Overall it's an amazing experience that everyone should get to enjoy. Please go here, you won't be dissapointed.

Awesome drinks at a (relatively) affordable price. Staff is extremely on top of things and made amazing recommendations. Plus, the apps were delicious. Will return and definitely recommend trying out.

To help celebrate our 13th anniversary, my wife and I did their cocktail flight. Six drinks each were created creatively at our table side. The entire experience is whimsical in a beautiful atmosphere! Service is top notch.
