Barcelona Wine Bar Cathedral Heights

Loved the one in Pittsburgh and love this location even more. Super friendly and helpful staff especially when making and helping pick the perfect drink. And we got the happy hour specials of calamari... some of the best ever. Breading stayed on didn't fall off when eating and just the right crunch. Def want to get that again and again! The salt and vinegar chips with ham when first reading thought it meant Serrano like the pepper but it was ham which made me love it more. Really nice happy hour treats before diving in. Then I got the guns and rose drink and had to get another so delicious. For small plates we got the prawns which had a nice spice but a bit overcooked for me but loved how they took off prawn heads and I enjoyed those my friend was grateful cuz she doesn't. We also got the thin potato dish with chive cream sauce and LOVED it. It was like a potato as gratin vibes and I'm here for it. Croquettes are always a must super rich creamy great ham flavor and something great to split with friends. I will def be coming back super cute place and loved the music as well relaxed but still party vibes in the neighborhood.

The food is always so good at Barcelona. This was our first time at this location, and the vibes were cute and more suited for daytime than the 14th st. location and our server was so nice to our group.

I love dining at Barcelona. This location is a completely different vibe than the 14th street location. I would say Cathedral Heights is more reserved while 14th street is obviously party central. The food & service are equally great. I had the kindest waitress. I forget her name but I think it was Gianna from NJ. I also would like to say I admire the professionalism of the staff. My waitress refused to serve a woman next to me because she didn't have her physical ID, just a picture. The manager further explained that an ID would have to be presented because a picture could be altered. She and her partner were upset and thought it was ridiculous. I thought their attitudes were ridiculous. It's not the employees fault you can't enjoy the wine you anticipated; it's your fault.

**Service:**I visited Barcelona with friends who had been before, so I was excited to try it out. We had a reservation on a Saturday night, and it was packed--definitely recommend making one. We were seated promptly, and our waiter, Anastasia, was great in explaining the menu to us. The service was efficient, and most of our dishes came out quickly, though there was a small hiccup with one of our orders.**Taste:**We ordered an assortment of dishes, including potatoes, pork belly, salmon, broccolini, and seafood paella, along with sangrias and other drinks. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the variety of flavors each dish offered. Unfortunately, our waiter forgot to put in the order for the paella, so we didn't get to try it this time. However, based on what we did taste, I'd definitely come back to give the paella a try.**Ambiance:**Barcelona has a lively and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends. Despite being packed, the ambiance was welcoming, and the energy added to the experience. It's a great spot for enjoying good food and drinks in a bustling setting.**Recommendation:**Overall, Barcelona offers a flavorful and enjoyable dining experience with a variety of well-prepared dishes. While there was a slight mix-up with our paella order, the rest of the meal and the reasonable prices made it worth the visit. I would definitely return to try the paella and enjoy another night out at Barcelona.

Loved it! A bit loud inside, but patio was also a bit loud with the traffic, oh well. Tapas were delicious and fun. Lots of options for your mood. Got the duck prosciutto, sauteed or pan fried mushrooms (with a bit of crispy, a little herby), fried zucchini with an herby dip, tuna crudo (which had a really awesome fruit/vinaigrette), and a really good cocktail with dragon fruit powder on top. Everything was great. Prices were decent. Food came out pretty fast and hot (or cold). Would totally go back.

The food and service were great. Be sure to try the potatas bravas. Take advantage of the 1/2 price bottles during HH!

The place was packed on a Friday night. It is really loud in the front room to the right. I could barely hear fly friend. Our waitress, Carmen, took good care of us. I started with the Bourbon spice rack cocktail. Delicious! We had the French Rose wine with our meal which was crisp and the perfect compliment to the meal. We ordered 6 tapas to share. Two didn't arrive and when we straightened it out with Carmen, we decided to just cancel one of them. The Beet salad was refreshing. It had both red and golden beets and the cheese was high quality. I would order it again. We both liked it a lot and loved that it came out first. Chorizo and figs were very good. Love the flavor of the chorizo but the figs were a big vinegary. They went well together though. The pappardelle with rabbit was tasty but too hot for me. The Salmon was another excellent dish that I would order again. The skin was crispy. Loved the jamon and manchego cheese croquettes. Would order again for sure. Would return but maybe sit in the back and come on a weekday!

First time here for happy hour and the dishes are absolutely delicious. Outdoor seating is a great vibe in this weather and I enjoyed the entire experience. I got my cocktail for 50% off and got to try other tapas/desserts on the regular menu too. Will definitely be back to try other dishes in the future.
