This review is for the braised short rib grilled cheese, I am not usually a short rib person but the person I was with is obsessed so we split it and holy cow was it delicious. Filled with short rib and amazing flavor, would love a juice to dip but still great. We will come back to try more!!

The owner, Matt Baker, has been retweeting heinous things about immigrants and the firing of federal employees in DC, the city that has been supporting his restaurants since the beginning. Take your business literally anywhere else

Situated in the primary Georgetown area, my wife and I came here for a yelp event. A small little store front, a Bakers Daughter has a very typically cute cafe vibe. There are a few spots for people to work from and a recessed counter where you can order drinks/foodWe got a coffee and the chefs breakfast sandwich. Overall the sandwich was pretty good, but it was a little bit greasy (evidenced by the mark on the box). The coffee was fine. Won't be against stopping by if I'm in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Baker's Daughter Cafe & Market in Georgetown, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Thank you to the staff for the service offered. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the charming ambiance of this small shop. The array of sandwiches and pastries on display was simply mouthwatering and the menu offers a variety of savory options, ensuring there's something for everyone's taste buds. One particular item that caught my attention was the new Orange and Currant Scone.Freshly baked and brimming with citrusy goodness, it was an absolute delight to savor. The perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess made it a standout treat.Overall, my visit to Bakers and Daughters was a lovely treat.

I'd been wanting to try Baker's Daughter for a while. While I did not get any pastries, I very much enjoyed my breakfast. I love that the breakfast menu is filled with savory options. It's quaint inside and staff is friendly.I went with the braised beef short rib breakfast bowl with whipped polenta and Southern braised greens (no egg, because I don't eat eggs). It was delicious--very rich and filling. I love a breakfast like that. And my iced caramel latte was good. The lunch menu is appealing, so I'd like to return to try some of those options, and I very much look forward to returning for breakfast.

Good food and service.- Chef's breakfast sandwich - tasty and served in a generous portion. - Orange and current scone - soft and warm. I appreciated they warmed up the scone for me. A bit too many currant berries for me, but the flavors and texture were great otherwise.

This place was within walking distance from me so I wanted to try it out. I got lucky as when I arrived at 11:30am on a Sunday there was no line and it was pretty empty, however it definitely got busier as time went on. The menu is posted and very clear. You order at the counter and they called my name when it was ready to come get it. All the sides are premade/prepackaged which I wasn't expecting but my choice of the kale pasta salad was ok. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was $13 and pretty good. My friend had the breakfast sandwich also for $13 and also very good. They have a single bathroom available to customers and there were a few people in line for it but that line seemed to go by quickly plus it was very clean. Overall the aesthetic of this place was cute and I can see myself returning if I'm in the area. I can't speak about the parking situation as I walked here.

3.5 stars. Order at the counter (it's a cashless establishment), grab your side that is prepackaged into tiny plastic grab and go containers, and sit down, and they'll bring your sandwich to you. I thought it was interesting that they prep all the sides into the grab and go containers. I am not convinced that the portion size was enough. Sandwiches taste better than average, but not so excellent that I would come back. My pesto chicken was so messy with the brie and aioli, and it slid the chicken around, and the chicken was smaller than the bread it was sandwiched in, so I had a lot of bread left over after eating all of the chicken. It wasn't a pleasant experience. My husband had the fried chicken and he wasn't a fan of the pimento cheese with it (even though he likes pimento cheese). He agreed with me that we wouldn't come back. There are better options in Georgetown.I finished with delicious banana pudding with sliced banana in it, 5 stars for that banana pudding!

Excellent orange and currant scone. It's very zesty and soft. It was warmed up as it was served to me. I'd recommend it if you do enjoy scones. Chef's Breakfast sandwich - excellent savory sandwich... between two pieces of sourdough bread, it was filled with ham, bacon, fried egg, cheese, arugula and some special mayo. It was a good combination especially with arugula. I enjoyed some bites of it! It's satisfying if you need something quick in the morning. It's very chill here as there's limited seating if it's busy here.

Baker's Daughter is a bit overrated in my personal opinion. It's a cozy cafe tucked adjacent to a bunch of other row-home restaurants and easy to miss! The Grilled Cheese with Truffle ($3 upcharge) was a bit underwhelming. The melted gruyere and cheddar cheese on buttery greasy toast was a bit bland, I wish there was a bit more bite to the sandwich. I appreciated that the sandwich came with a side of your choice. Glad I got the Side of Kale Pasta Salad, it was delicious and paired well with the Grilled Cheese. I would even buy the side separately. I sampled the Raspberry Crumble Bar, which was quite tasty and would go back to sample their homemade baked goods (everything is baked in-house except for the croissants). Might be back to try one of the baked goods if I'm near one of the locations, which seem to all be hidden.
