I heard about this bakery on IG, and decided to try. I was skeptical because its in Georgetown...one of the most congested areas on D.C. but...i braved the traffic to try them out.Wow....just wow. I see why there was a line outside the door. These cupcakes were delicious! I ordered a strawberry and chocolate doom...and lawd. Heaven! The cupcake is soft and fluffy! I was nervous because the frosting usually destroys most cupcakes because it's too sweet. But this cupcake....everything was perfect. The sweetness, the actual strawberry in the batter, even the pearls on top.The inside is small, but they have seats. Check out their wall of honey and coffee too! The competition down the street has nothing on this bakery! 10/10

The vibes here are cool with the bakery on one side and coffee counter on the other and seating in the back. I came for the cupcakes because that's what everyone told me to go here for but I wish I'd gotten any of the other baked goods on display. Because I'm sorry DC, you guys have weird taste in cupcakes. The flavor was great but the denseness and texture of the cupcake were not it - I didn't even finish my Razmanian Devil (lemon raspberry). Side note - I had the same texture issues with the cupcakes at Georgetown Cupcake - like they're the same cupcake, just different sizes and prices. Baked & Wired is the larger and pricier of the two at $7 per cupcake compared to $5 but they taste the same. I liked Baked & Wired the best of the two for the vibes - plus they have other things on their menu that I can try.

Such a cute local bakery in Georgetown! Came here since my friend visited this place five years ago and still remembers how delicious the cupcakes are. The cupcakes were indeed very good and moist. We got the red velvet, pistachio, and strawberry. My favorite was probably the pistachio since it had a cardamom frosting I enjoyed. They are on the larger side, and the frosting was a little too sweet for me, but still very delicious! I heard the hippie crack granola here is well known so I got two bags of it, although I wasn't expecting it to be $20 each, so hopefully it's good!Update: Granola was pretty standard and I didn't like the dried apricots so i would probably get the one without fruits. But I would say just stick with their cupcakes!

After visiting Canal Street, I stumbled upon Baked & Wired, and I'm so glad I did! This charming bakery and café is set up in an interesting way - split on two different sides of the hallway - but it totally works. The space is trendy, with fun decor, a cute little gift shop, and a cozy atmosphere.I ordered the lemon raspberry cupcake, which had a fun, trendy name. I forgot the name, but I love that touch. At register, I also picked up a giant sugar cookie that said "I U." The cupcake was about $6, and the cookie was $11. I think this is definitely on the pricey side.Despite the line, service was quick, and everyone was super friendly. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a nice spot to hang out.Let's talk about the cupcake - it was delicious! Perfectly balanced with real lemon and raspberry flavors, not overly sweet, and no artificial taste. One of the best cupcakes I've had!Would I come back? Absolutely - for the cupcakes. Just be prepared for higher prices. (4/5) - A great spot for a treat, but a little expensive!

Baked and Wired is def worth the hype! I tried their Chocolate Doom cupcake, and it was incredible. The cupcake was perfectly balanced--not too sweet--with icing that was smooth and creamy. The chocolate was really high-quality and rich. The shop is small and I've heard there's usually a line, but I was fortunate to visit when it was quieter, so I didn't have to wait long. Just a heads-up: they stop serving coffee after 3 PM, so plan ahead if you're want a latte with your cupcake. Seating is limited, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot.

I ordered online and was happy that I did! It was my first time visiting the shop.Even as cold as the temperature was there was still a line and I was able to skip the line.Service was extremely efficient. The ambiance is super cute and there is a coffee shop located inside as well so great for a meeting spot. Now for the important details:I ordered the following cupcakes:Carrot Cake, Coconut, German Chocolate, Pistachio Honey, & Peppermint Patty. It's like choosing your favorite child but the carrot cake was my favorite. I appreciate they indicate the no raisins on the menu as this helped make my decision. All the cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet. They are very dense like a true made from scratch cake. You can 100% share one or eat one over a few days. So greatest at for sharing or taking to any party or gathering. You will be the star of the show if you do so. I do plan on trying other flavors later as this experience left an impression on my taste buds.

I visited Baked and Wired over the weekend, and I still can't stop thinking about it! Their famous cakecups are a game-changer--the perfect icing-to-cake ratio and some of the most moist cupcakes I've ever had. The quirky names and friendly service were standout highlights, as were their unique and seasonal flavors, like "Razmanian Devil" and "Unicorn & Rainho."While some might find them a bit on the pricier side, I believe they're absolutely worth the splurge. Beyond their incredible cupcakes, they also offer a café menu with an array of delicious coffee and teas. The Iced Chai has officially become my go-to, though I'm eager to try the Thai Tea on my next visit.Georgetown has no shortage of cupcakeries, but this one has firmly secured the top spot on my list. If you haven't been, definitely give it a try--you won't regret it!

My favorite cupcake place EVER. I don't love frosting so the ratio here of a lot of with a reasonable amount of frosting is perfect. Everything here is amazing and fresh and delicious and I never want cupcakes from anymore else.

Wow time flies and i guess I've been coming here for a decade. It's still great and I'll always stop here when I'm in Georgetown. I recently tried the pistachio cardamom cupcake and loved it. It kinda tasted like chai tea in a cake and I loved the spice from the cardamom. I also got the strawberry and kinda wish it had more of an artificial strawberry flavor lol. The ginger lemon was also a good flavor combo, but it was a drier cupcake and it tasted strongly like gingerbread!

I went back not too long ago. I was majorly disappointed from my first visit. The cupcakes were very dry and tasted a day old.
