Great place: quality food, good prices, friendly and efficient staff and service. Ambiance is good. I stop by between jobs in the morning when in that area: quick in and out: get coffee and bagel. Coffee is good quality/tasty, bagels always fresh and crispy (toasted), fresh cream cheese/lettuce/tomato/onion and sometimes lox... Thank you.

Absolutely loved this place. If i could take it home to LA in my pocket I would. Two of us all got the Scrambled Egg Bagel Sandwich with Sausage and one got it with Bacon. Hands down the sausage is better, go with that. Two were on Everything Bagel and one was with Wheat Everything Bagel. Highly recommend the wheat everything bagel instead. It is somehow more flavorful and the chew of the bagel goes very well with the sandwich fillings. This combo also comes with a coffee or orange juice. You have a choice of like 5 different types of coffees, self serve and as far as I know you can also refill if you'd like. Cash only, mostly carry out establishment. Crowded on Sundays But service is very quick. You barely have to wait. Seating is limited but most people are there to pick up sandwiches and coffee to go anyway.

I stopped by for a quick lunch since I was in the area. The place is really small and cramped, and I didn't realize it was cash-only until I got to the counter. The space had a funky smell, probably due to how tight and enclosed it is.I ordered the lox cream cheese on an everything bagel, which was listed as $7.69 on the menu. However, when I handed the cashier a $10 bill, she didn't give me any change. Confused, I asked if I wasn't supposed to get change, and she said no without any further explanation. I'm still unsure if they automatically added a tip or what, but I felt scammed since no one explained why the price jumped to $10.As for the bagel, it was okay. The exterior was nice and crispy, and the inside stayed soft and chewy. That said, it was really lacking in cream cheese, which made it a bit underwhelming. Overall, the food isn't good enough for me to return, especially considering the strange experience I had.

By far the best bagel you will find in the district. Perfect fluffiness, airiness, and crispness to the outside. Also, incredibly priced! I've been here a few times now and the bagels have stayed consistent, which is hard to find. Though the line can get quite long, the service is VERY quick. Definitely the closest thing we have to a NYC bagel. Something I recently discovered is that they have additional seating in the back, but beware the place can feel quite tiny with the amount of people crammed into it to order. I highly suggest knowing what you want to order prior to stepping up to the counter -- will help the whole process go so much smoother. Lastly, remember it's cash only!!

After hearing that this is the best bagel in DC, I had to check it out. While it wasn't the best bagel, in my opinion, the bagel was warm, fluffy, and fresh and had a real bagel flavor -- not just bready like many other local bagels! It was missing the chew of the crust that I love in a bagel. The store was run really well with every employee working to quickly get orders made and keep ingredients fresh! No need to get your bagel toasted here! It is cash only, so be prepared or use their onsite atm

Stopped here for breakfast and found it to be a mixed bag. The shop's interior is small and a bit old-fashioned. It was busy and felt cramped. Be prepared for a long wait during peak hours. The bagels themselves are well-made, though on the smaller side. They're boiled nicely, with a crispy exterior and a moist, chewy interior that makes for a solid foundation. I tried the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on an Everything Bagel and liked how they scrambled and folded the eggs; however, the bacon could have been fresher. The Lox and Cream Cheese with Onions and Capers on an Everything Bagel was also good, though the lox could have also been a bit fresher. On the bright side, the egg and cream cheese in the bagels were fresh and flavorful. Overall, it's a good spot for a satisfying bagel, though some improvements to ingredient freshness and the space itself could elevate the experience further.

I think I found my new favorite bagel in DC.This hidden Dupont gem offers up amazingly soft bagels with a nice crispy/toasty exterior, which are fantastic when they come fresh out of the kitchen.I stopped in early on a Wednesday morning and didn't encounter much of a line. I was able to call-in my order so it was ready for me upon arrival. Note: they are cash only.In an time where bagel shops with ties to New York are popping up all over town, I hope that this small bagel shack remains a little bit under the radar so I can enjoy a quality bagel without the lines that comes with the more hyped-up places.

The Awesome - Good prices, many menu choices, excellent coffee, great bagels! The Challenging - Long lines, limited seating, tiny space, order inaccuracies, some questionable hygiene practices. Tips - Checkout the menu before you go, tons of choices and they are inpatient.

This is where to go to get your NY bagel fix. These are legit bagels, on the smaller side though, which I view as a positive and it's mostly setup to just be a quick grab and go situation much like a real NY deli. They take orders and serve very fast. Only downside is they are cash only. Bonus points for having an egg bagel too!

I come here every time I wake up early enough for the DuPont farmers markets on Sunday. The bagel sandwiches come out fast and hot every time. Cons- the workers are kinda no nonsense and aren't especially friendly, so have your order ready and remember they are cash only- then you're fine! Highly recommend it as it's always good & some places are hit and miss. Will continue to enjoy bagels here when I wake up on time!
