This is what they pitched as an "all you can eat bbq cookout". Cold hot dogs cut in half.

B Live is a restaurant housed in the old Whitlow's space, which I miss even more after this visit. A group of friends and I dined here for brunch. The menu has a few a la carte options available, and they also have a bottomless brunch buffet option, with the option to add on crab legs. The way it's advertised on the menu, it makes it seem as though the crab legs are also bottomless. HOWEVER, that is not the case. It's $12 PER PLATE, and each plate only contains one cluster of steamed crab legs. I think they need to make this more clear on the menu and website. During our time there, I heard multiple tables in addition to ours inquire about the "bottomless" crab legs option, only to be disappointed when we were told the cost is per plate. Once again, I really miss Whitlow's, who had actual bottomless crab legs at brunch. Aside from the misleading menu, the brunch itself was pitiful. The baked salmon did not look cooked. The mac and cheese lacked flavor, and the fried chicken was nasty. The eggs were also bland, and the bacon wasn't cooked well. The only thing I really enjoyed were the random meatballs that they served, and the basic Greek salad. Even the parfait was nasty - I'm not sure what type of yogurt it was, but I was surprised that a parfait could taste so bad. The snow crab legs were supposed to be steamed, but it's was still cold. There was actually ice on one of the clusters we received. The only redeeming part of my experience was the live music (the musician was really good!), the Bellini, and our server, Matt. This is the only reason they are getting 2 stars. Otherwise, I truly regret eating here for brunch and would not recommend it.

My friends & I came to B-Live for brunch. We were eager to dine and experience a breath of fresh air in a new space as the beloved Whitlows restaurant closed. Sadly, we were I credibly mistaken. The food:Pretty much everything food related was disgusting & bad! The crab legs for many of my friends were FROZEN or really cold. The salmon was tasteless. The meat balls were raw. The salad dressing was pretty much mayo. The butter itself froze up after sitting on the table for longer than 5 minutes. ***Also, speaking of the crabs, the menu is very deceptive. The crab clusters are NOT bottomless. It's $12 per cluster and not even remotely worth it. So do not expect the clusters to be bottomless like the rest of the brunch.***Service & Ambiance:The service/restaurant was pretty backed up, so it took forever to receive a waffle or barbecue sauce. The ambiance is pretty okay. It seems more tailored to musical legends of past generations. The only saving grace was mimosas, and the waiter was nice. Even the live music was crappy.I do NOT recommend this place and will not be returning. Seriously, do not waste your money. The clear issue is the management & the chef. There should be NO reason why there is only ONE waffle maker in the entire restaurant and for it to be made to order, thus causing a massive back-up. It doesn't make sense. Why not just have the waffle maker by the brunch buffet? No spoons nor syrup at the brunch station. The nerve to rush us out of our table when we had to wait 30+ minutes for certain items to come out is ridiculous. I hope they read this review as constructive criticism to improve.

Is it Fellas/Girls night? Look no further this is the place. I randomly found this spot on a Sat. Night. I walked in not knowing what to expect. Now This is my kind of place. Good variety of music, it was loud but you could still have a convo, good vibes, friendly bartenders, the crowd was starting to arrive. They had a band. Cool music art all over the wall. The menu selection was simple and straight to the point. Drink prices were questionable. Lucky a brand ambassador for a beer was giving complimentary drinks.I had the Chicken burger w onion rings it was spicy to my liking which made it delicious. I will definitely come back and take more photos. I guess My bad decision made a great storyMessage to ownerA spot like this would do very well in Columbia, MD near Merriweather.

Went here 12/18/22 for brunch. Tik Tok made me do. In efforts to get in the holiday spirit this was my location of choice based on the Tik Tok. Parked in the garage because there was no street parking available. The hostess was seated on her iPad I said excuse me so I could get her attention. She looked up with a bothered expression advised my reservation was 12:30pm but just touched down at 12:50pm. It was still fairly empty. No Christmas music was playing. The TVs were loud with sports and whenever someone scored the guest were hype. Felt like I walked into an sports bar.Our server came over shortly to introduce herself. Let me say she turned our experience around. She was pleasant and patient. She provided recommendation based on what we wanted. She was the only server for the duration of my visit. We ordered the Margarita tree. The margarita tree was watered down with ice. My friend said she taste the alcohol but baby not me. I must be an alcoholic after the birth of my baby. For food I ordered the hangover burger and my friend ordered the smoked omelette. The hangover burger disappointed. I was expecting so much more with all the fixings that came with it. The sunny side egg wasn't sunny at all. No running egg. They could of seasoned the Pattie's to give the burger some flavor. It was nasty. Had a couple of bites and was over it. My friend said her smoke omelette was good which I have to believe cause she ate it all. The potatoes that accompanied both meals were crispy but the seasoning was on there but I could taste it only see it.This place is good for groups. I wont be back cause it's not my scene.

What a waste of so much potential. The inside looks so sick, only to be leveled no one ever in there. I wanted this place to do so well. It seemed like a cool idea for a bar with live music, and a sort of punk rock feel.Think of Floyds Barbershop decor, but make it a bar with a big stage. Not sure why this was put where it was. Clarendon isnt exactly a punk rock scene or much besides gingham patterns and patagonia vests. B Live would be much better suited in DC with different clientele.I wanted this to be THE spot to hear metal or anything, but I will be shocked it stays open in 2024.

Christmas pop up is SO cute and I love that it's in NoVA. Drinks were phenomenal, but the food was what shocked us. Looking at the menu, it's typical bar food and lots of burger options...but we were so pleasantly surprised how good it was! The Peruvian wings knocked us out the park, burger was tasty and pretzel w/beer cheese is a must if you go! Mac & cheese croquettes were good, standard imo but good bar food. Drinks we're delightful! Down the chimney (smokey, flavourful) Mrs. Clause chocolate martini (great classic) Snowman on Vacay (STRONG, fruity) CEREAL SHOOTERS Strong & unique way to end the evening but I'd reccomend not mixing all the cereal in it cause it was hard to swallow LOLOverall B Live gets a 10/10 & will 100% come back here.- IG @ SpicyAivy

Keeping in mind this is just a bar....I am leaving 5 stars. Not 5 stars like Le Diplomate, but good at what it is! Good service, good happy hour specials. I enjoyed the Christmas menu. The cocoa pebbles cereal shooter was awesome! My friends also liked the fruity pebbles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch shooters! And my friend had a burger and it looked good plus I sampled and can say the fries were crispy and well seasoned.

The atmosphere of B-Live when you walk in looks like it would be a great time on a weekend, with live music & nothing but vibes. A friend of mine and myself caught the Friday night Happy Hour special & ordered strawberry lemonade mule to start. Which were great!! May or may not have gotten a brain freeze...I do wish that I had nicer things to say about their Happy Hour/Dinner menu.Everything that my friend and I ordered while dining in was...Well, Bland. All except for the Turkey Club. The friend that ordered that dish spoke highly of it but I'm not quite sure you can mess up a sandwich. I on the other hand chose to go with the Shrimp Fra Diavolo Pasta. There was garlic in there for flavor and that may have been the only thing that gave this dish any sea. Based on everyone else's reviews maybe I should have gone to brunch instead. I was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed.

This place has really gone downhill since they "rebranded". The entire building from the outside patio, to the inside decor, is a disaster. It was so fun before they fired the previous staff and neglected the business entirely. 'Beach Bar Live' is the new name of BLive, and the majority of people I've spoken with don't even know that the place is open. The entire place is a failure. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else.
