Cute space and great service!Nestled between GWU, the White House, and amongst the international organizations sits Aroma Express. Its corner location has great sunlight and the space is cutely appointed, but I definitely noticed the old orangey-brown floors. There are a variety of seating options from small tables (inc a couple outside), a couple small group areas, as well as a wide counter.I got a vanilla latte and it was well made. The temperature was good and the microfoam was right. The espresso shot, however, tasted a tad dark/burnt for my preference. I enjoy darker roasts, but this leaves some bitterness.I got the mojicon de guayaba, which is a soft bun filled with guava paste. It was just sweet enough and was a good accompaniment with my coffee. The bun isn't quite as soft as milk bread or brioche, but I enjoyed this denser chewier experience nonetheless. I'll definitely come by to try more of their housemade pastries. There were so many sweet and savory options to choose from!

The bakery items are on full display in the front and staff are there to help you explain what each item is on the menu. They also have these cute aprons! Although its one of those new-age cafes that don't have a historical charm this one is trying to do differently by offering a more multicultural experience with their Colombian cafe classics. It's reminiscent of Portos but without the deep family history, which is kind of expected out of commercial cafes like this. The vibes are great, everything feels recently renovated and new. The seating is great, its perfectly within GWU campus so its student friendly.

Aroma Cafe is right where Juan Valdez used to be downtown - they remodeled it beautifully and made it such a cute place to sit and hangout. They have a myriad of Colombian treats that taste incredible, as someone who goes to Colombia a lot, these are authentic. The staff is wonderful and the coffee is REALLY good. We try to pop in here as often as we can to enjoy this wonderful spot.

Cute space with lots of natural lighting, making it perfect to get some work done. I had an iced vanilla latte which was decent, although the vanilla syrup tasted a bit artificial to me. The coffee itself was good though! They offer lots of different pastry options so definitely planning on coming back to get something for breakfast or a snack!

Very cute and small coffee shop in one of the most multicultural corners of DC, near the OAS, the IMF and the World Bank. I ordered a decaf macchiato, which was delicious and came right away. The music, the A/C and the overall aesthetics of the place made me quite happy.

Inside an office building that houses the Organization of American States is a new Colombia bakery and coffee shop. With a location in Springfield and one in Woodbridge, this location is Aroma's first D.C. location. It's worth visiting and here's why. 1) Food: They sell an array of sweet and savory pastries from Colombia. Guava makes an appearance in more than one. For a savory snack, the beef empanada hit right. The texture and flavor were perfect and the spicy salsa it comes with is delicious! For dessert, I got their cheese muffin. It's very dense and the guava paste on top make every bite perfect. It's large and very filling. 2) Drinks: They have a full coffee menu and an impressive espresso machine. My latte using their own beans was strong and tasty. They have three optional flavors- caramel, pumpkin spice, and peppermint. When the barista handed my latte, he told me to let him know how he can improve once I tasted it. No improvement needed! 3) Service: Everyone I met was very friendly and excited to introduce Colombian food to me. They walked me through the pastry options. 4) Space: Its in one large room with cozy corners to sit and tables with paintings nearby. There are plenty of outlets everywhere. 5) Neighborhood: It's in between GW University and the White House. Paid street parking is nearby.

I am beyond happy to have such an incredible coffee shop in the Foggy area. Aroma Cafe is just what you want - small, family owned cafe with delicious baked goods and welcoming workers. The coffee is well balanced and the Colombian pastries are unlike anything in the neighborhood. There are plenty of outlets, a good number of tables, and wide selection of drinks - what more can you ask for? There is wonderful natural light and a bustling atmosphere that pairs well for study breaks, change of scenery or simple catchup with a work colleague. Their workers seem to really care, making frequent rounds to keep the place clean. I hope and wish the best to the cafe owners. If anything, you'll be seeing me more and more. I'm sure to gain a few pounds in the coming months from all their delicious treats! As an idea, it'd be great to implement a reward program, like Tatte, for returning customers.

The pastries are so delicious. The pastries are light and filling enough to enjoy without feeling heavy after. We got and iced and hot cortadito and 2 Colombian hot chocolates. As an avid cortadito lover this has to be the best in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful while also being diligent and fast with getting our drinks out. The ambiance in the cafe is cute and it is a great place to study, read, have a coffee break with friends and even bring out of town family and friends. Parking was easy but I also was here in the middle of the day.

There are many coffee shops and sandwich places in Georgetown. This one I stumbled into by chance on a cold, blustery day and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, friendly service and staff, and their food and coffee choices. Recommended!
