Aroma Cafe

This was some of the best coffee we've ever had in our lives. The service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed the bagels, too. My husband had a super iced mocha latte, and I went with a traditional grande latte. I have to repeat myself - it was one of the best lattes I've ever had. I can't wait to go back!

Giving 4 stars based on the exceptional service. Aroma is a sandwich (begal, etc.) place with coffee and espresso. I wanted a traditional Omlette, not a begal sandwich. They delivered exactly what I wanted (not on menu). Taste was fresh, perfectly cooked, not runy, and not burned. Ambiance is small café no more than 4 tables.

Extensive menu, great value, fresh ingredients. Fun to support a small business owner. Portions are just right. I don't need a 1000 calorie sandwich for lunch. Sandwiches are all $7-9.

The beauty of aroma cafe is its location and how productive their staff is. I personally enjoyed their bakery items that I purchased more than the soups. But, I still give them 4 out of 5 because their servers were phenomenal. Great place to stop by for any appetizers and seafood.

With a very full menu that has great prices and a nice little seating area inside, this gem sits tucked away in the corner of a building that rests directly across from the Spanish Embassy. I found this place by happenstance, which is sometimes the best stance, and in this case, it was. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a tall cafe au lait. Both items were very tasty. The bagel was toasted perfectly, the right balance of crispy and chewy. I was very surprised by the cafe au lait, namely because I'm from Louisiana and have had my fill of bad cafe au laits. The coffee was not bitter at all, served very hot (just how I like it), and with just the right amount of cream. My only complaint, which is more my fault, is that I arrived too late to get a blueberry bagel. Instead, I snatched the last cinnamon raisin bagel, which was delicious. My entire order cost $7.08. I enjoyed both items inside in order to take in the ambiance and to experience the morning hustle and bustle. What I observed was that this sleepy little cafe seems to be a popular place with each patron enjoying a peaceful escape from their daily grind if only for a few minutes. The staff is very nice and helpful. For instance, with my blueberry bagel tragedy, the owner ventured into the back to see if they had more, which sadly they did not. If you decide to hang out, know that they do not have a bathroom and there are only three tables and a small bar area to sit at on the inside. It appears that during the summer they might place tables outside, but I didn't see any. I know you'll like it if you just give it a try. Enjoy!

Friendly, quick service with quality breakfast and coffee. Very reasonably priced for DC. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in Foggy Bottom!

A lovely spot to have a quiet cup of coffee, a 2- person meeting or grab a sandwich on the go. I only had iced coffee & a delicious blueberry muffin so I can't speak to the quality of the sandwiches but I'll bet they're delicious. The owner is hard working & pleasant. Plus he makes iced coffee from cold coffee, a huge plus in my book. Note- the entire block of Pennsylvania Ave has the same number & the cafe's door is actually on 24th St.

Affordable quick sandwiches in DC! This is my go to spot since moving to DC and the owners are very sweet. Owners doesn't skip on toppings for the sandwiches. I usually order the Parisian sandwich and mocha latte with a generous serving of whipped cream.
