Just had an unexpectedly delightful pepperoni pizza adventure! I ordered what I thought was a medium, and out came a huge box filled with generous, large slices. Though I was surprised by the tiny pepperonis, they were just as delicious as their larger cousins--I've officially been converted! While I asked for extra cheese and didn't feel I got it, the abundance of those mini pepperonis made up for it.The pizza struck that perfect balance: juicy without being soggy, and satisfying without requiring a drink to chase every bite. The sauce was spot-on, adding to the overall yum factor. This pizza nailed the not-too-wet, not-too-dry sweet spot, and I'll definitely be ordering again!

Do not order delivery directly from Andy's NOMA. Just use Doordash or UberEats. Why? Andy's outsources ALL of their delivery to Doordash anyway! But if you order directly from Andy's, you have no way to track your order and no way to hold anyone accountable. I placed an order at 6:30 PM on a Tuesday. The order confirmation from Andy's stated it would be delivered in an hour (which is already longer than most average delivery times if you live with a 2 mile radius of a restaurant in NE Washington, DC). The order did not get here until TWO hours after I placed the order. Each time I called the restaurant, the staff either said (i) take it up with Doordash (again, unable to do that if I didn't place the order with Doordash, so that's a very unhelpful nonstarter) or (ii) they inadvertently or (worse) intentionally lied about the pizza having already been picked up (second customer service person I spoke with during this saga said the pizza was picked up two minutes prior to me calling, but 15 minutes later when I called back for an update they said it was picked up 10 minutes ago, so the math ain't mathin). I love Andy's Pizza, which is why the food still gets four stars even when delivered cold. But a cold pizza, and a disorganized delivery experience, pulls this way down for me. I love supporting small business and not having them get gouged on service fees with DoorDash and UberEats. But if the food is late and cold, then I'm Doordashing from now on. BTW, had they refunded me like they said they would in my last convo with them, I likely would have not posted this review. But it's for the best, and hopefully they figure out how to better track their delivery experience for orders placed directly with their store moving forward.

What a nice surprise! Who would have thought a pizza-by-the-slice pizzeria in a grocery store under an apartment complex would have such stellar pizzas?! Equipped with a full-bar and four TVs at said bar, this place is a go-to with friends or if you're exploring the city solo. Wine specials on Wednesday, beer specials on Thursday, and happy hour all day on Sundays. There is not a doubt in my mind this will become a new go-to for when friends are in town or when I just don't feel like cooking. The slices are pretty large - pair it with a beer, and you'll be good. If not, it takes literal minutes to get a second slice. Come enjoy the good music, fresh air, and upbeat ambience of this hidden gem.

Imagine if a convenient store and a pizza place met at a bar. That's the concept of Andy's. You walk in and there is a convenience store where you can get a Coke, then there is a New York style pizza place where you can grab a pizza (I ordered two buffalo chicken slices and one mushroom slice) and then you walk forward and see a bar. I like the concept of having all three places together you can eat your food. Have a chat with friends and maybe even grab a drink. However, the pizzas were on the oilier side for my liking.

I absolutely love this place! If you live in the NoMa area, it is great to grab a drink and bite after a long day at work. The pizza is decent and the chicken tenders are my FAVORITE. I was nervous to get them at first because you never know how a restaurant prepares their tenders... but they definitely have a unique recipe and do NOT just throw tyson tenders into a fryer. It is also a full service bar, with beers, cocktails, and classics. The service is meh. Not a super welcoming bunch, but perhaps because it is always packed and busy. They have an upstairs that can make up for the crunched space, but it's only open half of the time i've been there... not sure why. Overall, I will likely bring all friends and family who visit to Andy's!

Just when I thought I'd never be able to a good slice in DC, I found Andy's. This is the closest to NYC pizza I've found. It's tasty, the crust is perfect, the sauce is yummy and the variety of toppings is great, I've yet to have an Andy's slice I didn't enjoy. The special pie with burrata, hot honey and pepperoni is my favorite. I haven't dined in, only ordered for delivery so I can't comment on the service but the pies themselves are delicious and for that I will be a customer as long as I'm here.

Is it girls night without pizza? I order Andy's for movie night and it didn't disappoint. My order was ready about 40 minutes after placing it. I will say, if you're picking up late at night, it's a little crowded and it's hard to differentiate between the order line and pick up line. Anywho, the pizza was hot and amazing! If you're getting certain pizzas to-go, they'll put "wet" ingredients on the side -- for us it was hot honey and Burrata. As soon as I got inside, we demolished this pizza -- we didn't even reheat it! I highly recommend.

This was my second time trying this location, but first time doing pick up. My first experience here was a couple years ago and so good! Who would've thought pizza attached to a grocery store would be so good and have such a great ambiance?! The vibes were still there. This time around I ordered in advance and when I arrived, the team had no recollection of my order, so they had to prepare it right there. It was 2 signature slices and a can of soda. Pizza is already prepared, so they just toss it in the warmer, package it, and send me on my way. Even after warming, the pizza was lukewarm. I ordered a margherita slice and buffalo chicken slice. They were both okay but I love their crust.

Best pizza in town. Hands down. Terrible slices, but whole pizzas are amazing. Don't overload with toppings because the crust is too thin to support a lot on top. But enjoy the chewiness of the dough and the deliciousness of the pizza.
