&Shawarma Mediterranean Crave

I finally made it to this place. It's been in my bookmarks for the longest, but based on where it is (and how busy my weekends typically are), there's a very small window during the week when I can get up there and back and not worry about traffic. But I finally did it, yay!You can build your own, pick from a premade, and such like similar Mediterranean spots, but they have something that really stands out -- their pomegranate molasses sauce. I got a chicken shawarma rice bowl, and they added that to it, and WOWOWOWOW. I loved the flavor profile that added and my taste buds were quite pleased. They have fries, wraps, and more to explore on the menu, and I'm looking forward to doing that in the near future. I so wish they were closer!

Fresh ingredients, great flavors, big portions, and friendly service makes this a favorite take out spot for my husband and I. Something we can always agree on when we can't decide what to eat. It's conveniently located right off of Shady Grove Rd & Gaither Rd and it's quick, easy, and nutritious!We usually order the supreme wraps that come with a thinner-than-tortilla bread on the outside, a heap of your choice of protein, and then the toppings are piled on. I get the supreme chicken as it comes with onions added. I ask for spicy garlic inside the wrap and harissa and s'hug on the side. They press the wrap under a large hot press and pack it up. The seasoned fries are really good too. Super crispy! I think if you order the regular shawarma, you get fries inside.I highly recommend this place and hope it's here to stay!

My wife and I decided to try AndShawarma one night after a long day of running back and forth to the hospital. I got the Supreme angus beef Shawarma, and my wife went with the Supreme Chicken Shawarma, both in wraps. It was cool watching them make the wraps--they use this really thin but large wrap, with a smaller, thicker layer in the middle where all the fillings go. They start with a layer of hummus, then add generous scoops of meat, followed by toppings like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickled veggies, and parsley salad. You can choose to add sauces inside the wrap or get them on the side. My favorites were the spicy garlic, harissa, and schug.The people working there were super nice and accommodating. They were happy to answer questions and made sure we got everything the way we wanted. The ambiance is pretty standard for a lunch spot--nothing fancy, but it's clean, tidy, and comfortable enough to sit and enjoy your meal.For the price, we definitely felt like we got our money's worth. The wraps were delicious, packed with flavor, and super filling. We also got the za'atar fries, which were well-seasoned and tasty. All in all, highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for some fresh, flavorful shawarma. Definitely worth a visit!

I was craving a delicious rice bowl like the ones you can get in NYC on the street with the yummy white and spicy sauce ...Anyways!! This place is it! Perfectly balanced and cooked. Every ingredient is delicious. It's like we just grabbed dinner on our way in from the subway.

This is OK shawarma - def a good option if you are tired of going to Chipotle or another fast casual combo place but want different flavors. But the hack is to order online and ask to put the spicier sauce in the shawarma wrap AND ask them to put fries in it. Then you have a close to great shawarma. But if you want more authentic shawarma....go to Virginia.

Cute, yummy and friendly service! We loved this place and will definitely add this to our lunch rotation at the office. The food was fresh and delicious and light! Their service was fast and very friendly. We tried a chicken rice bowl, falafel rice bowl, pistachio cake, chocolate cake, lychee soda and fried pickles. Everything was delicious!

If you're ever craving a late-night snack that turns into a full-blown culinary adventure, look no further! I had an absolute blast crafting my own bowl of deliciousness with falafel and chicken shawarma, each bite a masterpiece of flavor. The sauces were generously provided on the side, allowing me to mix and match to my heart's content--let's just say, my taste buds were throwing a party. One important tip: don't forget to order a pita on the side because it didn't come with my bowl. The pita was the perfect vehicle for scooping up every last bit of savory goodness. If you're looking for a tasty, customizable snack that'll have you dreaming about your next visit, this spot is a must!

I came with low expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised I like the choices of toppings and the fact that they put the wrap in a Panini press before they serve it to you. I will go back again. I would make a suggestion though that the lamb is a little dry and possibly bigger chunks and not small pieces so that it doesn't dry out so quickly.

Ok, this place is AMAZING!!!They have great, no Great, no GREAT food!!!On Shady Grove, I think this restaurant doesn't get the recognition it deserves maybe because of the name ... is it "&Shawarma" or "@Shawarma" or "AndShawarma" or "$Shawarma" or "#Shawarma" or "AmpersandShawarma"? I only figured out the name because my husband, who LOVES Middle Eastern food, has literally eaten the food SIX (6) DAYS IN A ROW!!! I tried it too on the 6th day I tried it too. Great chicken, great rice, great hummus, great pickled onions, great pita crisps, great chick peas, great pickled turnips, great tabbouleh, great falafels...but the BEST part are all the sauces you can choose from (my faves are the Shug, the Reg Garlic, and the Harissa! Tons of customers and tons of business!Chicken, Lamb, Falafel, but Steak is coming soon!
