Afropia Cafe & Hookah Lounge

This place is nothing like the photos. Ethiopian men's club, pretty misogynistic. The server wouldn't even hand a menu to my friend. Honestly the ambience, the vibe is poor, not worth a visit.

Second time here and it did not disappoint! Service is 100 out of 100! Great flavors. Tea is delicious. I love the atmosphere. Very welcoming.

I was lucky enough to find this little gem randomly online and am soo glad I did. The vibes here are so cute and the staff (Lydia) was the best. Her playlist was which added to the ambiance. I went on a Saturday afternoon and had a Latte and some of the best chocolate cake. There is ample space there and I'm definitely coming back with friends to try the hookah.

I came here for the first time the other day and had a great experience. I tried hookah without the aluminum foil on top, and the quality of the pull was much better. Nice comfy bench with cushions along the walls and a cozy atmosphere. The service was wonderful! She came around at regular intervals to check on & replace the coals and was very pleasant. One of the places with the best prices I've seen too!

If you want a high-quality hookah (premium flavors, base, actual charcoal unlike other lounges in DC) and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to go. Perfect for a date or to get some work done and unwind after a hard day. The owner/staff are welcoming and friendly. All of this for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!
