Monday 5/27/2024I made an order for takeout (through google) and got: tamal de pollo $2.95, empanada de platano $3.50, burrito abi (shredded chicken) $10.95, and fajita abi $20.95.- Fajita abi (a mix of 3 proteins: chicken, steak, and shrimp)* this dish is pretty solid but I was expecting the portions of steak and shrimp to be a bit more than what I got.* (rating: 7.4/10)- Burriti abi* this burrito was alright but a bit messy and I was expecting burrito to be a bit bigger.* (rating: 6.7/10)- Empanda de Platano* this was easily my favorite item: sprinkled lightly with sugar and tastes just like a platain. It's a unique and tasty item but I see it as more of a "fritter" rather than an Empanda. (Definitely an item I'd come back for)* (rating: 8.1/10)- Tamal de pollo* this was my first time trying a tamale and it's a no for me. The texture and taste threw me off especially when there wasn't any chicken in some parts of it.* (rating: 5.5/10)Overall, this place has some decent Mexican and Salvadoran food but nothing was particularly impressive besides the unique empanada de platano which carries the food experience (and the review rating).

Stopped by on a Saturday around 2pm. It wasn't as busy despite many to go orders. Staff was quick and attentive. Good prices on the food. I really enjoyed the pastelitos de carne. I would come back to try other food items if I'm ever in the area again.

This was my first time trying this place and it was really good!!!! I got the steak fajitas which came with three tortillas (your choice of corn or flour tortillas). I, personally, got flour and it was delish! The meat, rice, beans, guacamole, and pica de gallo were amazing, too! I have nothing bad to say about this place! Also, got the white chocolate mousse & the tres leches as a dessert and it was very good too! I would definitely recommend going here if you're in the area and would definitely go here again! Thanks Abi Azteca!! :D

I had already ate at a a great Trinidadian restaurant next door. So i wanted a drink. I came in I sat down and the bartender was just RUDE AS HECK. He seemed like it was a burden to serve me at first, but life is hard, so I didn't think too much about it.So after he finally comes to me, he ask me do I want a drink, I said yes, and I ask if they had Howler Head he said no, I was about to order another drink and within 3 seconds he just walked away, to the other side of the bar in the middle of me ordering. I waited to see if maybe he had to severe someone else, but he did not to serve someone else, we walked away to do bar work and throw trash away. That could've clearly waited til after my drink was served. One of the rudest and disrespectful interactions I've ever had at a bar. I work too hard to ever spend the money I earn in an establishment like this. Never ever ever again

Ohhh I wanted to love you Abi, I did, but your chicharron leaves something to be desired. It's one of those dishes that I barely eat because...pork, but today was supposed to be a treat and it's delicious when cooked properly. It had this kinda dry, hard to chew, difficult to swallow thing going on. I'm comparing this to the homemade version, which practically melts in your mouth. It's difficult to maintain that melty feeling when deep-frying meat, but the yucca too?! :( At least the seasoning was perfect. Now the beef fajita meat was DE-LICIOUS. Seasoning, taste, doneness, presentation, everything. Could've used more green peppers to balance out the ton of onion, but still delicious! Which leads me to the rice. It looked like something you'd find in your school cafeteria, and tasted like it too. The beans were fine on their own, and tasted OK with the meat and tortilla. The pico de gallo, guac, and sour cream were excellent. I loved how you could taste both tomato and lime, instead of straight citrus. They also offer papusas, which looked alright and tasted the same. The filling wasn't blended properly. If anything, I would order the empanada de platano with marañon again, but that's it. Maybe the meat, if the tortillas were thick and satisfying. Soup is also part of the menu, but I'd only try it if someone else gave the go ahead. I really wanted to love you, Abi :(

So the bartender charged me the tip on my cc AFTER I had given him 40% tip in CASH! This is absolutely disrespectful and ridiculous!! I can't believe they can get away with this type of sh!t... Smh. Food and drinks are good but this kinda behavior shouldn't be allowed by the owners. They should fire this bartender.

So I never knew this place existed and I've driven around this plaza for ages... but a quick search for something new... and here we go! It's pandemic time so key facts:Call or online order if picking up. You're gonna have to go in to get it. There is indoor and patio seating.Food: got a pork and cheese pupusa and tamal de Pollo (chicken) and carne asada and large horchata.Horchata- large means large! And not overly sweet so a nice treatTamal - yum!! Best one I've had in the area, and i have tried many... will be back for this. The flavors are complex and on point.Pupusa- good but not the best ever. I would get it again but not my go to thingCarne- thin and cook as specified. Not bad.Overall, will be back but may try other items...

If you've never been here you're missing a real treasure in Germantown! This is a great place to bring your date. You can arrive early, let's say 7:00. Have some drinks enjoy the ambiance and enjoy some appetizers at your leisure. There is never any rush to get your meal ordered. On Friday nights and Saturday nights they have karaoke mostly in Spanish but some in English. Eddie or Fernando will queue up any song you like. This is a place not to just quick grab a meal and get the check. But rather it is a place where you can enjoy the whole evening just dining and drinking and having a good time. The food is Salvadorian / Mexican mostly there are sports playing up on the giant TVs but without sound so it doesn't interfere in the ambience. Come on a Friday or Saturday night and have a great time!

My wife and I have been going here for ten years. For nine of them, we only had great things to say. Lately, we've had issues. Primarily it's with one waitress on multiple occasions.Today, for example, we had five meals ordered. Two were wrong, one was missing. We received no utensils. Refills were a problem. We couldn't get things like napkins. We ended up having to ask for a different waitress, who did help. With that said, it was disappointing to have to pay full price at the end for disappointing service. If management happens to read this, I would be happy to discuss to it with you. We'd love to see it return to the reliable ABI we loved. For now, we only go cautiously on occasion, with low expectations.
