I want to like ALOHO but it's always been a disappointment from the service, to the drinks, and to the vibe. It's a really small space, there aren't enough bartenders, the bartenders don't seem to care about business, and music is bad. So much room for improvement but I don't think they care. If you're looking for this space you should go but don't get your hopes up!

Love this place! So nice to have such a special queer space in DC! Love that there's multiple dance floors, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drink options! Just an overall amazing vibe! Service is always great!

I hate to give this place only three stars because it could be amazing and I do frequent here often, but it does have room for improvement. The bartenders in the league are always very friendly and have great service, but unfortunately the bar area is small. since it adjoins with pitchers, it's always very overrun and tightly packed. Because it's attached to pitchers do expect there to be men sharing this space. It hasn't bothered me much but some men are still coming on to women in this space and I have experienced being approached and being touched by men here without consent. No fault to the bar as they can't control these instances but just want to make women aware that it is a possibility. It also can get pretty hot with the amount of bodies in here. I think this place could improve greatly if there was more of a separation between it and the upstairs floors, as well as maybe a limit on how many people can enter at a time, or if there already is a number for it to be reduced so people can comfortably move around.

Had a Saturday girls' night out and dropped in at A League of Her Own. Glad my friend and I decided to stop by because we had a good time! This bar was immediately fascinating by the several mounted TVs with multiple throwback games you could play with someone else. All the games were occupied, and I did not get a chance to play any, but they all looked fun. I grabbed a rum punch drink that was decent and explored the different levels of the building. Once I reached the top, they were getting ready for the drag show. My friend and I got a good spot and enjoyed the event. These ladies did their thing, performing early 2000s songs. Once the show was finished, the area turned into a dance party and immediately got packed. We ended up leaving because we were beat and had a long day. An interesting queer bar! Definitely had a fun night!

This was my favorite bar in DC! As a bisexual woman from Kentucky, I don't have much opportunity to frequent gay bars that cater to women - this place brought the diversity, the sexiness and the fun! Seriously, had SO much fun here! GREAT crowd, very friendly and the dancing and music was smoking! Great shots that didn't break the bank! Also, all this without a cover. Seriously, it was a great way to end our night!

We had an awesome time! After dinner on a moms' night out, we stopped in on a Friday night because our kids had shamed us that we had come home "too early" last time. We were able to snag a table and ordered drinks at the bar. Drinks were typical rail drinks, but the atmosphere was fun. Upstairs, there was a full on dance party with GREAT music! Line for the bathroom wasn't awesome but can't wait to come back because they have FUNNEL CAKE on the menu!

Awesome queer space, not enough bathrooms for the weekend crowd. Like come on, need more stalls. There are a lot of people born with uteruses! The lines were long and one of the bathroom stalls (the basement floor level) only had one working stall! What!! Music was good, atmosphere was great, everybody was there to have a good time. Definitely crowded like pre-Covid levels. So...there's definitely a Covid risk but I think the vast majority (like, everybody) were ok with that. The video game floor (Pitchers) was not as packed and I appreciate they had games and different consoles available.Oh. One thing that was annoying was A League Of Their Own wanted to see a physical copy of ID. So if you lost yours and only had a picture you're out of luck there.

I was looking forward to a fun, queer night out, but was met by so much judgment and rude behavior from the staff here that later STOLE MY MONEY. I was ignored by bartenders on the first floor at an empty bar three times in a row for multiple minutes straight while they fully stared at the wall behind me or played DJ on the iPad; then I asked a staff member upstairs politely about where the event was supposed to take place because I had never been to ALOHO before and without even acknowledging me they just pointed; I felt so uncomfortable that I ultimately did not leave an additional tip at the bar when closing my tab for the first time in my life. I always leave 20% but I felt the staff were going out of there way not to help me and be incredibly rude. I later get a charge to my credit card for $20 more than my bill, meaning the bartender stole money from me and committed FRAUD on my receipt. This place has consistently awful reviews and I wouldn't waste a single dollar here ever again. The vibes are so horrible. Do better.
