Big coffee shop with delicious food and pastries! I went on a weekday morning per the recommendation of a friend who works close by. Enjoyed a chai latte with soy and the vegetarian biscuit Sammie. Both came out quickly and the staff was very friendly. There's a lot of space to work, catch up with friends or have a coffee date. Chill ambiance, not too loud, which was appreciated.

I came here today Thursday Feb 6 around 1pm for coffee and lunch and to do some work as well. I've had this spot on my bookmarked list for literal YEARS, and the only disappointment is that I did not check A Baked Joint out sooner!!!!The cafe is so cute inside, with large windows for ample sunlight, hanging plants, artwork, and plentiful tables for working, meeting a friend, or anything else. There's a semi secluded area upstairs with some couches and smaller tables where I opted to work and eat.The staff was friendly, and service was super quick. I was shocked on fast my oat milk latte (with a nice heart design on top) came out. I think my biscuit sandwich came out quickly too, but I missed them calling my name because I had my headphones on. The male worker I asked to check on it was prompt, and got my food out immediately to me after checking with the kitchen staff. I appreciated it greatly.I enjoyed my ham, cheese, egg biscuit which is housemade and warm inside. My oat latte was delicious as well, and at 8oz it was the perfect size for caffeine that kept me going for the afternoon. After finishing some work, a male staff member came by to clean around me, and even kindly took my finished plate and coffee cup. He was very polite and friendly!!!!! Overall, 5/5 stars thank you to the friendly staff, kitchen, cleaning staff, and everyone working here! Everyone was working together well to make it a great environment. I felt very relaxed and happy enjoying my solo visit here today, and will bring back friends later.

A good friend of mine surprised me with breakfast one morning, and it was the tastiest sandwich I have had in a long while. The biscuit had the perfect buttery, savory taste mixed the sweet honey butter and egg white within the sandwich. My friend remarked that they usually sell out of the sandwich before 9am, so she had to place our orders early...just a heads up.If I was closer to A baked joint, this would be a breakfast staple in the morning. If the sandwich was that good..Im very hopeful that other items served there are fantastic.Highly recommend!!

We stopped here before heading off to the Christmas markets. Parking was easy to find ( off -street 2 hour max). We went on a Friday morning so it wasn't too busy but I do think they get busy on weekends. You order upfront and wait for your order to be called. I decided on the rosemary and greyure biscuit with a fried egg and a flat white. I also ordered a loaf of turmeric and quinoa bread. ( all the breads are made fresh daily and every single one looks delicious). One thing to note and maybe an idea for them is to allow patrons to sample any loaves when they are undecided. The biscuits are made fresh and they have different variations daily. They have a vegetarian and meat option. The biscuit was light and fluffy and egg cooked to perfection. I did add siracha because it was a bit dry. The flat white was really nice but I wish they made it hotter ( this is just my preference and I should I have told them). They always seems busy and there are many patrons with laptops. I don't think they have WiFi because I saw many of the customers using. WiFi hubs. I would definitely go back to try some of their other options.

A baked joint does everything right! Amazing baked goods (the cupcakes are what they're known for, but the cinnamon roll is outstanding), lots of seating, a great savory menu, and a Thursday movie night!!! Literally what more could they do? I love going on Thursday's for the movies and sharing pizza, wine, and dessert with friends.

Get the Smurfette Cupcake...YOU'RE welcome!!Typically I just go in and out so I can't really speak to the dining in experience, but the fact that I am "in and out" in just a few minutes means that the service is fast which I love- especially since you'll probably be walking on the way to somewhere or be illegally parked if you drove to get there!

After dinner, we decided to pop into A Baked Joint- the decor caught our eye through the window, and it just looked like the kind of place where good desserts and vibes collide. We wandered around a bit before making our way to the counter. Now, let's set the scene: I'm all about the recommendations when I'm at a new spot, but the cashier? She was giving major "I'm just here to take your order" energy. No smile, no enthusiasm, just a quick "OK" as I placed my order. Customer service wasn't her ministry, but hey, I've dealt with worse.I got Kingston a vegan Oreo cupcake (because my boy deserves the best), and bae went with a mandarin cake slice. As we were wrapping up, the manager swooped in and saved the day with some much-needed customer service vibes. He asked bae if he needed a bag, and of course, in typical "I can carry it all" fashion, bae declined. Naturally, I had to interject with a firm "Yes, he needs a bag. Make life easier, not harder!" The manager's energy was refreshing--a stark contrast to the cashier's minimal effort. The mandarin cake slice was $5.95 before taxes, which felt reasonable for a place that looks this chic. Speaking of chic, let me gush about the decor: imagine an Apple Store meets Starbucks Reserve vibe. The space blends natural charm with modern aesthetics--high ceilings with exposed industrial piping, floor-to-ceiling windows letting in all the natural light, and thoughtful details that make you want to stay a while. One standout touch? The dried florals hanging from the ceiling and adorning the wooden shelves. It's rustic yet trendy, giving the space a cozy, botanical vibe. Communal tables and light wooden furniture balance simplicity with elegance, while pastries displayed under glass domes add an artistic flair.Oh, and the music? Chef's kiss. It was the perfect backdrop for escaping reality, whether to sip coffee, enjoy a sweet treat, or knock out some work on your laptop. I can already see myself coming back for a solo work session or a much-needed break from mom life. Now you know we didn't dive into that mandarin cake slice right after dinner--life doesn't work that smoothly. First, we got home, fed Kingston, got him to bed, and finally got ourselves situated. Then, it was time to indulge. And let me tell you, that mandarin cake slice was worth the wait. Moist, flavorful, and with just the right touch of citrus to keep it light but satisfying. I'm not big on sweets, but after one bite, I was definitely throwing bae the "So, you're just gonna eat that without sharing?" look.It was one of those desserts that sneaks up on you--simple at first glance but packed with flavor. I don't usually ask for seconds, but this cake had me reconsidering all my life choices. If you're the kind of person who loves a dessert that's not too heavy but still delivers on taste, you need to try this.Pro tip: Get your own slice, or be ready to negotiate for a second bite. Trust me, you'll thank me later!Final verdict? The vibe is immaculate, the desserts hit the spot, and while the cashier might need a pep talk, the manager's energy more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit--just don't forget to ask for a bag (or let me do it for you).

A Baked Joint has rightfully earned its place as a DC institution. The quality of their baked goods is unmatched, and over the years, I think I've worked my way through almost their entire menu. This is my favorite brunch spot, but be warned--it gets insanely busy on weekends, so finding a seat can be a challenge. Additionally, certain weekend-only offerings (particularly the French toast) tend to sell out before the end of brunch, so plan accordingly! The coffee is also really good. Ratings: 1. Creme Brulee French Toast 10/10 - Heaven on a plate2. Smoked Salmon 10/10 - The fact that this is on a homemade baguette takes it to the next level.3. Yogurt Granola Bowl 6/10 4. B.L.T 9/105. Meatloaf Sandwich 10/10 - thick piece of meatloaf on homemade bread. yum.

Forever consistent throughout the years. The best for loose teas. They have 5 options of green teas. My favorite is mango green tea. It's so divine and fresh. The tea pot it's large enough to share with two people. Great price point! By myself, I can pour at least 4-5 small cups. Great food options from sandwiches and they even sell pizza. My guilty pleasure is the red velvet cupcakes and red velvet slices. So fresh and homemade.
