Overall an underwhelming experience. The food was expensive, with the addition of protein being an extra "add on". Moreover, the food itself was subpar for the Cleveland Park area. The quality of food is comparable to something that whip up at home late at night. At the given price point, I would avoid this restaurant. The service was okay, and the ambiance was nice. However, I now realize why it was empty. Overall 2/5

I ordered nachos here a few months ago for takeout. The nachos had carrots in them, which I was not a fan of. After I ate the food, I got food poisoning afterwards for a few days. I know it was from this restaurant because I didn't eat out anywhere else that week. To be honest, I probably wouldn't go back.

This place looks inviting and tidy. Their tacos tasted great. What detracted was poor service. For example, we ordered beer and wine; but it took about 15 minutes even with only 2 or 3 tables occupied. In between, the one employee visible was just sitting at the bar eating a sandwich. Granted, we were in the afternoon; but if the place is open they should plan a way for employees to serve the customers who do show up.

It's cuteIt's cute and the endless brunch is such a steal. It's definitely group friendly and more casual than romantic. Staff was attentive, the brunch food were well made.

CKEVELAND PARK, WASHINGTON DC -- Great presentation. I mean, look at the photos. The meals at this Latin American cuisine joint come out looking swell. Nice plating. Food's a little lesser. My chicken saltado - loma saltado but with chicken instead of beef ($20) - was overly salty. The missus liked her ropa vieja ($20). Tender meat and seasoned well. Also gave thumbs up to the fried plantains. Ample portions and we took home leftovers. Interior's clean and decor's neat. Very much a 3.75 experience.

We were craving tacos and were looking for something near the zoo. That's how we decided on this little spot and very happy we did. Street tacos (asada and carnitas) were perfectly seasoned and the house made red sauce was a great combo of flavorful and spicy. Super friendly staff and a great little neighborhood spot that shouldn't remain a secret. Oh and, the salsa that came out with the chips was very good as well.

Every time I come here-- I get great service and fabulous food! It's also a good spot for brunch but you may want to make a reservation. You'll get chips and salsa to start. My friend and I split the Loca Piña--- yummmmmm! And the mixed fajitas!! Everything was cooked beautifully and tasted incredible. You have your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Definitely a favorite of mine.I'll be back!

Came here to try the South American offerings in their pan-Latino menu. The Venezuelan patacon came out a bit disappointing - especially after having tried an amazing patacon in a Venezuelan restaurant in DC recently. This one was much smaller, and pricier, by comparison. The Colombian bandeja paisa was "interesting" - my dish was originally served with Cuban ropa vieja shredded beef even though the menu called for grounded beef (but I had requested for the substitution for a carne asada, another typical version of bandeja paisa). The shredded beef tasted just okay to me. The accompanying red beans tasted a bit charred and burnt - but also was seasoned well that it was tasty - and surprisingly (and not traditionally) a bit spicy. There was also no arepa served with the dish, as it should have been. There was apologies for the way the dish came out, and brought out the carne asada (grilled steak) after. The grilled steak was sadly very thin, but had a good flavor. I suspect the kitchen staff is not from the Spanish Caribbean or South American or are familiar with their dishes, but I do think they know how to season the food well and also prepare the dishes with quality ingredients. I may return just for that, but I may need to reevaluate to figure out what are the best things to order here. That being said - they offered fried onion rings - which surprisingly was very delicious and some of the best ones I've had in DC thus far. I would highly recommend it even if there's nothing really Latin about it (other than the accompanying pink sauce that goes with it). They also have an excellent happy hour, and was able to enjoy great $5 mojitos of with any fruit mix they have (and they offered similar pricing for margaritas as well).

I've been here a couple of times and it's never really busy and I don't understand why because I like it!You will start with free chips and salsa while you mull over the very extensive menu...The mojito and fajitas are my favorite go to! The mojitos are flavorful and not too sweet. The mix fajitas come with beautifully seasoned chicken, steak and shrimp. Our server was very friendly but the service was a bit slow considering there was only one other table. This is more of a place to hang out versus eating quickly so I would probably go elsewhere if you're looking to get a bite to eat in a rush. Pro tip:The fajitas come with enough to serve 2 people but make sure you ask for extra tortillas as it only comes with 3.
