This spot used to be the hidden gem in Riverdale that delivered the best brisket in the DMV. The A5 Wagyu brisket is so tender, juicy, moist, and literally a bite of BBQ Heaven. Now they're all over the food news and they also have a storefront in DC. The lines get along so if you plan to go the following day, I recommend ordering in advance. I think my favorite meats currently are the A5 Wagyu brisket and the spicy cheddar sausage. I also really like their sweet potato mash and fire roasted veggies sides. I love this place so much that whenever we plan to go on campus to watch a game or have any plans around PG county, this is the spot I want for food.

The food here is solid. I've been twice and really enjoyed the meat--especially the brisket, spicy sausage, and ribs. The sides were decent; I tried the seasonal corn and brisket beans. The tamales stood out as a highlight--they were excellent.Service was straightforward and efficient, with minimal wait times of about 10-15 minutes.

Go. Wait in line. You will not regret it! The wagyu brisket melts in your mouth. Loved the corn bread. The bark on the pork ribs? Out of this world!

2Fifty Texas has been on my radar for a while. I've heard great things about the food and finally got to try it for myself. I was in the area for an event and stumbled across the restaurant so I took it as a sign to stop by finally. I love their dog-friendly outdoor seating because I had my pup with me for the ride. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with sides of macaroni and cheese and brisket beans. There were plenty of people dining inside and on the patio but the service was quick and my wait was less than 10 minutes. The sandwich was the perfect size and I enjoyed the flavor. I didn't really care for either of the sides. The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor and I was expecting something more like baked beans but that's not what the beans were at all. On my next visit, I would skip the sides and try more of the meat selections. Overall, I think it was worth the wait and I would go again to try more of the menu.

I recently tried 2Fifty Barbecue, and overall, it was a great experience with some real standout items. The sweet potato mash was delicious a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. The brisket beans were also a favorite, with a rich, comforting flavor that reminded me of a hearty soup; I could definitely eat those on their own as a meal! The elote, on the other hand, wasn't quite my style just a bit too spicy and vinegary for my taste. The cheddar sausage was okay, but I mostly tasted the cheese and not much of the sausage itself. The true stars of the meal were the short ribs and brisket, which were smoked to perfection. The only downside for me was the barbecue sauce; it had a strong vinegar taste that didn't quite hit the mark for me. I'd love to see them offer more sauce options in the future.I'd definitely come back to try some of the other sides I didn't get to this time!

The awards that their bbq has won is literally aggressive. And for good reason. It's easily, without a doubt, some of the best or the best bbq in the area. They do the traditional Texas low and slow method in HUGE smokers. One thing I always get one I go there is their beef rib. It's the size of your head, it's a pound, it's a bit pricey, but it's 100% worth it. I got to try their tamales on this go too. Those were good... but I'm not sure I'd order them again. Sweet potatoes, absolutely amazing. The coleslaw, a SOLID rendition of slaw. The cornbread, soft fluffy and delicious. And we also got a turkey sandwich... ya know... for something lighter. It was good... but put it next to the beef rib... I mean... beef rib all day eery day. I've met the owner and he is SO nice and kind. They now have a location in D.C. I haven't been to that location... but I can imagine that it's PRETTY busy. I mean... where is there epic bbq in downtown D.C. ? Not many places. Wish this small locally owned business more success and prosperity. They're doing great! And can't wait to see them grow.

A very interesting BBQ restaurant. We made the mistake of going on a Saturday about 5 p.m. Most things were almost sold out. Recommend you try lunch time or an earlier dinner to make sure of availability. But the ribs, brisket, pulled pork was exceptional. High quality .. so tender and flavorful. Sides like coleslaw very good too. Cornbread also was sold out, but we have heard it fantastic ... more like cake. The line was long inside and out the door. Quite an experience in patience .. but it was worth the wait. Staff very friendly too.
