Cold, wet rainy evening after a Friday night meeting, this was the closest, most welcoming place to eat around the L' Enfant / VRE train stop areas while other restaurants were understaffed offering bar menus. It's very accessible from its 6th Street doors within the Holiday Inn hotel. The restaurant has restrooms out in the hallway along with an ATM kiosk. There is a bar and plenty of tables inside and ok the outside patio. The vibe is terrific. The menu is diverse with an upscale diner/IHOP vibe. There are signature cocktails, wines, craft and domestic draft beers. They even bring complimentary warm bread to the table which in my opinion is a nice gesture in bringing a restaurant ambience. The meal portions are ample and nicely presented while served warm or cold in the case of salads. The salads have the protein options that I will order another time. The flavor and condition of the food was as good as any other restaurant. Star of the show was the roasted broccoli. The prices are comparable and also in range of Washington DC prices and taxes. Guests/ tourists forget to factor this in as well as it being an international destination and complain unfairly when they wouldn't if in another city. There are other places to eat in the area, so I don't understand the crankiness. You can't beat the convenience and welcoming environment here. It is also clean.+ Capital parking garage is right next door under the bridge.+ Conveniently located near train, metro and roads.+ diverse menu with full bar+ great vibe and hospitality + plenty of seats and clean+ complimentary bread +- prices are parallel to it being in a hotel in the District of Columbia. + ATM in the hallway.

Really good food (pricey for a holiday inn). Drinks were good, but again pricey. Seemed like an after thought of a restaurant.

I have a mixed review my wife ordered a hamburger and tomato basil soup. I ordered a half rack of barbecue ribs. My wife enjoyed her meal immensely on the other hand could barely chew the ribs. The sauce was excellent but apparently the ribs had been made quite a while ago and perhaps we're at the bottom of a pan in indirect contact with a heat source. Moral of the story if you go to a hotel restaurant and you see review ratings of three stars and if the item you're ordering is not prepared to order or subject, to rapid turnover do not order it. I should have known better, and I paid the price for it so don't make my mistake wings OK ,hamburgers definitely ,hot soup great, barbecue spareribs not. This is not a barbecue Spare Rib Place.

Welcome to a bar that is unable to make mixed drinks other than the very few on the menu. Sad. Recommend going somewhere else.

A chicken Quesadilla will cost you $20.The Mac and cheese is Kraft box Mac and cheese available at any store for $1.18.Burger came with Hellmans mayo packets you might find at the food truck.Talk about cutting corners for a profit. For a restaurant inside a hotel this place was extremely sub par.

I ate here twice out of convenience because I stayed in the same hotel. Food is good but expensive for what it is. Cocktails are not great but priced typically for a city. (I had a mule one night and a draft beer the next.) Service seems to be bad at night because they are understaffed. That being said, the servers are nice people just doing their best. The ambiance kinda stinks. I sat by the bar the first night and got a table the second night. I wasn't horrified but also not very impressed with the cleanliness of my surroundings.
