Walrus and Carpenter Oyster Bar

The Walrus & Carpenter Oyster Bar, located inside of the Faneuil Hall, was a solid choice for oysters. We ordered a half dozen oysters from there, and ventured to other shops in the hall to complete our meal.The bar was very small and busy, so we opted to take our food to go and ate our oysters outside. The service was prompt and the oysters were reasonably priced.This was my first time ever trying oysters, and I really enjoyed them! They were fresh and came with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I'd eat here again

Quick and reasonable prices. Service is ok. Very few seats but the staff have to talk over your food to take order from other customers. But the oysters are nice and fresh.

Tourist trap!!! For 80 dollars you get two small, measly lobster sandwiches, cup of soup with zero meat in it and one can of soda. The sandwiches were so small we had to go somewhere else to eat after. Had no flavor in the sandwiches. We feel robbed and so ripped off.

We came here for lunch after walking past all of the seafood places in Quincy because they had a combo lobster roll and clam chowder meal. The lobster roll was a little saucy (I'm not a huge mayonnaise fan) but there was a lot of lobster in it and it was tasty overall. The clam chowder at Boston Chowda in the same market was better in my opinion, but some of my family members preferred the clam chowder from Walrus and Carpenter because it tasted less like clams. We also got clams on the half shell, which came with horseradish and cocktail sauce. They were very fresh, tasty, and bigger than I expected. Overall, I would recommend eating here and would love to go back.

The guys were super friendly, we ordered a lobster roll, clam chowder, and oysters and we were not disappointed.

40 year establishment very efficiently, run! Friendly staffexcellent food. Unfortunately this review is going to bring more people. We came here twice on our vacation! That's how good it was!!!

This was our 2nd visit. The have the best chowder ever. It has a slightly different taste and is delicious. You can get it in a bread bowl or cup. They also have lobster rolls that we did not try, but they looked good.
