Waldo's Chicken & Beer

BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH ON THE PLANET. Waldos is by far the best tasting chicken sandwich in all of Nashville. The fowl mouth chicken sandwich captures every essence and tone that a hardy spicy chicken sandwich should. The sweetness of the bun coupled with the spice from the sauce, compliments the coleslaw which is in the sandwich already. Just writing this review makes me wanna drive there and get it now. They use thigh over breast so expect perfection and be thrilled by what you get. Service is amazing the staff treat you like family, and the inside is a very classy and vintage style bar perfect for families. Exceptional, transcendent experience.

Just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before going to our Air BnB. The chicken fingers were real good but could be bigger. The wings weee okay because we asked for no sauce on them. Next time I will try the sandwiches. The service was quick and the person that took our order was nice and helpful. The ambience looked clean on the inside. Next time we will try other items

Sadly my last few trips to this location have not been as positive as they were initially when I reviewed. I still encourage everyone to try out this or other locations just b/c having an alternative to fast food chains is important, but quality at this location is hit or miss between food quality, saltiness level, and customer service.

I visited this location on June 21st. It was not very busy, so I expected my food to be really good. I order the exact same thing every time I go. This particular day, my chicken was not cooked thoroughly & my banana pudding was runny (this has NEVER happened before!) I did not bring it to anyone's attention, as everyone was in the kitchen laughing during my visit. This has ALWAYS been my go to location because they have treated me so nicely, but I'm sad to say that I simply cannot see myself returning to this location again.

Great atmosphere! We were here for the 5th anniversary and had great deals on drinks, plates and sides! Music was great too! Would highly recommend. Chicken sandwich was amazing as well as the fires!

Omg!!!!! I'm so in love with Waldo's! First of all, I'm lucky enough to live in almost walking distance of this one. I came here on a whim after leaving the airport because I didn't feel like cooking and because, again, it's close. The customer service was one on Al as this place closes kind of early so the lady taking my order (now on a first name basis *Veronica*) was patient and kind enough to explain to me the options and asked me what I was i had a taste for since they were about to close and options may have been limited. The chicken sandwich is what I opted for and I chose a side of the Mac and cheese for it. While I was waiting at the window for my order, Veronica informed me that everything was made in house, fresh daily and the coleslaw was more of a sweet, creamy slaw than vinegary, which is what I like. I told her I'd have to try it next time I stopped by. So it was a pleasant surprise when I got home I saw my order was loaded up with extra corn muffins, coleslaw! And she even threw in a cookie (Christie's cookies) in there for me. I could only assume she let me try these things since they were closing and throwing out product they didn't use for the day and since it was my first time visiting. But man oh man was I happy!!! The sandwich was BUSSIN!! (Iykyk) perfect amount of sauce and protein and the wonderful coleslaw complimented it perfectly. It wasn't too saucy, but just creamy enough and the perfect balance of sweetness. The Mac and cheese has just the right amount of seasons and cheese to keep me coming back. The corn muffins are to die for. Their honestly super addictive and I cringe every time I make the excuse to get them despite claiming to watch my carb intake. I've since visited multiple times and have tried their home made ranch as well, and let me telllll yoooouuu!!! It's nothing better than a good homemade ranch. They don't fill the cups up for the extra charge, that's my only complaint. But I'm going to keep going lol. I'm going to ask for a full cup of ranch though!!!

Possibly the most underrated fried chicken place in Nashville for their awesome sides, cornbread muffin that comes with the plates, and sauces. I've only been to this Waldo's location, and the cashier seems to be the same woman each time I've gone. She is the sweetest and kindest person, and just a joy to interact with at any point in the day. I always order a dark plate with mac and cheese and fries, but their potato wedges and white beans are also great sides. The plate comes with a sauce, and I love getting the jalapeño ranch, but they have a variety of tasty sauces. The hit of the plate is the little complimentary cornbread muffin; great texture and a tad cheesy in the best way. I love the quirky art on the walls and sitting in the cozy booths! They also have a bar where they play sports games on the big screen. A gem of a restaurant.

THE BEST chicken tenders I've ever had. Perfect in every way. Truly tender. Selection of sauce to boot! Variety of sides?!? The chop chop salad with rotisserie chicken was perfect portion with fresh mixed greens and strong blue cheese!This particular spot is extra great b/c of their staff. Everyone I've encountered here is dang delightful and great customer service. The set up is a blend of fast & casual dining, but the food is true quality. They have a bunch of TVs and a nice bar set up that seems perfect for game watching; and the bar is full service of beer and liquor with great selection. Or there's a drive through for your food to go!Bonus - Tuesday tenders special!Hoping one of these will open on the east side of town!

I'm really happy I got the Fowl Mouth Sandwich. It wasn't just heat but flavorful heat! And this is a sandwich worth getting. But if that's not enough, there are add-on sauces you can try that range from mild to spicy. PS - The staff here were extremely friendly and pleasant too
