This is a great place if you love ramen. My husband and I have been there several times already. We love to order appetizers their chicken karaage. They recently changed their menu and they removed our favorite seafood salad. My favorite ramen is signature ramen, in the past they offered to choose from chicken or pork. Now you can have only pork as meat for your ramen. It is good do not get me wrong. My husband tried all their ramen and he said they were all good. The servers are nice and friendly. The atmosphere is good, they have a good playlist. We love their music choice.

Serviceable at best compared local alternatives. The food feels-formulaic, which is in line with the fact that the place is a franchise chain. The menu is has weird errors like "permium sake" and sub optimal font choices which feels inexcusable for a franchise.Service wasn't great , one competent waitress with another pretty clueless .. I asked if one of the sake selections came cold and she said, I think so? And then brought me completely the wrong bottle . Ramen was ok , but for your money hakata down the road has fresher ingredients and higher quality for the same money .Two veggie ramen bowls and one 300 ml budget sake for $47 before tip feels a bit much for what we got in quality and service .

Overall a bit salty, with the meat slices not particularly textured and a bit stiff. The accompaniments like the bamboo were good.Interior is a bit dark, and the music a tad loud.

The food is good, we had ramen. The ambience is good, well done. Service needs a wake up call, all around, no greeting, no smiles, no personality. Come on management, this is just training! Prime location, lots of potential business. Plenty of to-go customers. The place has potential.

Great food! Inaccurate hours & slightly below average customer service.Parking around the establishment can be a bit hard to find. It's all street parking where there's a good chance you'll be parallel parking.Customer service isn't too welcoming there's a good essence of servers trying to get you out of the establishment just as quick as you got in. I've been 3 and have had a sense of urgency to leave due to the servers lack of friendly-ness and persistence to bring me the bill.As for the food there's a great selection of Ramen on my last 3 visits I've had the Tom-Yum Ramen, and Natsu Mazemen (dry ramen), and a great selection of their appetizer. Everything including add ons can immediately run your bill up quickly so I'd recommend be intentional and if you're will to try something new come with the intention that you may be disappointed at a high price. As for the establishment itself it's pretty cozy, tables are almost always full so you'll be sitting pretty close to folks of other party just about all the time if you aren't at the bar, the music is great and not too low and the lights are beautiful being LED and not your topical white/soft white lights you find most establishments; all in all it's vibe, a great space for a date.Lastly the hours of the establishment are inaccurate on 2 attempts to come in within an hour & a half of closing my party & I were informed that they were closed although the establishment was full of people. They did give us the options of ordering to go which you can sit at the bar and order shaved ice while you wait but I feel like there needs to be a sign that instructs customer when the last call for food can be. I've had this not only happen at their Waltham location but also their Harvard square which is disappointing. All in all despite the disappointment, it's still worth a visit. I will continue to go, and hope that service gets better because that's all their lacking which is an easy fix

Front row seats to watch the master chefs whip out the tasty ramen. We all enjoyed our soup. Smartly they give you spicy chili to add so we each could monitor our hotness. They are a busy place so get there early unless you want to wait. Who doesn't enjoy a little mochi for dessert?

I was excited to see another ramen place opening up in Waltham, especially on Moody street. I came with my husband, toddler and baby and overall had a great experience. The food was very flavorful and I loved that they had options my toddler would eat. The service was very quick; once we ordered, we only had to wait a few minutes before our food arrived, which was perfect for an impatient toddler. My only complaint is that the restaurant was a bit tight so there wasn't much space for us to bring in our stroller which is unfortunate since we are walking distance to the restaurant! They also didn't have a full high chair available, only booster seats made for older toddlers. Overall, I'll likely be back since my toddler really enjoyed the food!

Went to Waku Waku over the weekend with my husband and daughter after hitting Games Underground and playing some Japanese rhythm games. In the mood for something tasty, we stopped in to Waku Waku. I ordered the signature ramen which was truly perfect - I am pretty particular about the broth and the pork broth was phenomenal. My husband had the Kaen ramen and he enjoyed it immensely. Both of us ended with empty bowls. I am kind of dreaming about this ramen so I suspect I will be back soon in the coming weeks. We also had the karrage chicken appetizer which was delicious. The sake was delicious, went down a little too easy.We all loved our meals, even my picky 12 yo who had chicken broth, noodles and scallions. It was a perfect spot and the server was attentive and kind (and masked, which I always appreciate). No issues with parking right on Moody Street (Saturday afternoon) and lots of window shopping (or actual shopping) to do before/after.

TLDR: come for appetizers and sakes, not the ramen.Atmosphere (3/5): Small place with typical North American ramen shop flares (Japanese caricatures, red lights, Maneki-neko, etc.). The music was unreasonably loud, felt like I was in a club.Service (4/5): Efficient and friendly staff. I got my food within a reasonable timeframe.Food/drinks (3/5): I got 1) crawfish salad, 2) curry ramen with pork katsu and 3) nigori sake.Crawfish salad: The highlight of the show surprisingly. The yuzu dressing gave it a zingy refreshing taste while there were plenty of creamy crawfish chunks to make it feel filling.Curry ramen: Mediocre at best. The broth was (never thought I would say this about a ramen) lacking in the salt and umami fronts. The pork katsu looked a little pathetic on the plate it came on.Nigori sake: Came with an unnecessary fire show but nevertheless it was appreciated to the very last drop.Affordability (4/5): I paid $40 before tips. I thought it was reasonable for the amount of food and drinks I got, adjusted for the Boston cost of living.
