We went here on a Thursday night around 8pm and while the place was packed, we were seated immediately. We ordered Takoyaki (6pc), Shishito Peppers, Creamy Mentai Butter udon, Yellowtail Kama, and Sweet Shrimp with fried heads. Best Bites: (1st) Sweet Shrimp Sashimi (2nd) Creamy Mentai Butter Udon (3rd) Shishito Peppers.

The mentaiko cream udon was decent. Decent flavor and udon texture overall; however, I've had better.I got this to go, and there was no one up front despite me having called the order in. I waited for a while, thinking that they were busy in the back. Nope - I saw through their little curtain that the girl was back there texting, and ignoring me despite saying "excuse me" several times to get their attention. I understand taking a mental break during the work day, but there were two people working there, and both of them were in the back, which left all customers (myself and dine-in) unattended. Not a dealbreaker, but something to consider in terms of service.

I really really liked their mentai butter udon. I might be biased because I LOVE creamy things, but I like how their version is not too heavy. I didn't feel extremely bloated after finishing my bowl. I also liked that they have ochazuke here. I haven't seen many restaurants in the US with ochazuke as an offering. Slightly bummed that they didn't have a regular rice (non yaki onigiri) version, but the broth/tea they used was pretty good. Their rice in the wagyu kettle rice thingy was also great.

Came by here for dinner with a friend who was in town! I came here years ago and was looking forward to trying it out again! We got the mentai butter udon and some skewers to share. My boyfriend got the creamy uni udon and really enjoyed his dish as well! We were seated at the bar so it was a nice enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back again!

Service was nice but I dunno... $30 for soup and a few pieces of shrimp was a bit much... and they charged me for shredded radish on the side$1!Pretty outrageous.Now if the soup or the shrimp were fat and above in refinement than what I could make at home we might have, MIGHT, have a justification for this highway robbery.Servers were nice and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing...

They have an awesome lunch menu which drew us here for a little day date. Most items were $16 or less that comes with a rice and miso soup. We got the sukiyaki and pork katsu curry and they were both delicious. The portions were surprisingly generous. The flavors and textures were on point. We got the eel rice bowl add on to replace the white rice. Although this was so delicious, it was definitely not needed as the lunch deals were more than enough food.Service was ok. Really small restaurant with mainly bar seatings. It's pretty cramped and hard to maneuver in and out of your table. The inside reminded me so much of Japan. Will for sure be back to try other items.

Been here twice at the behest of friends, and the food taste good. But the portions are so small.You have to order at least two larger dishes, or many smaller ones, to be content. And each item can be $17 to $20+.I like the udon dishes but they are more of a snack. The same can be said for the rice cooked in kettle items. Those take a while to prepare too.If I ever come back, it'll be because the friends I'm with want to again.

One of my favorite places! The chicken kaarage lunch set is my favorite. The restaurant had a lot of outside seating, but I was able to sit inside at the bar. The workers are always so nice and are quick to take your order and get any drinks you order. I always recommend this restaurant to people!

It is a Japanese restaurant on the smaller side, and the staff all speak Japanese.I like how the menu has pictures of the actual food, so you have the right expectations. I think it'd be great to have a best sellers or specialties something of the like.I ended up going with the spicy tuna hand roll and the Yaki udon. My boyfriend ordered the wagyu skewers and the mentaiko butter udon.The service was quick, and especially having bar seating made it faster since we were right by the servers.The spicy tuna roll was great. The Yaki udon was okay. The sauce left on the plate was more of a soup-consistency. The mentaiko butter udon, however, blew me away! What a delicious sauce! If you get any dish here, and if you're a noodle fan, please try the mentaiko butter udon!
