WD Foods is one of the last of the true mom-and-pop grocery stores. They haven't been forced out of business by the big guys just a few miles away and they haven't gone down the road of selling just beer and junk food like so many other places that think that's what they have to do to survive. Although I live very close I confess I don't shop here that much, mostly when I need 1 or 2 items and don't want to go all the way into town. But I almost always find what I need here. They have a good selection of dry goods, canned goods and frozen food as you would expect in a slow turn-over store. But they also have a surprising selection of fresh food and produce. Staff here is very friendly and after you've been in about 3 times they seem to recognize you. The only down sides are the lack of selection, few specialty foods and the prices are a bit higher. But with gas going over $4 again stopping here is well worth it. Best tip about WD is the avocadoes! Seriously, a lot of Hispanic farm workers come in here and WD always has perfectly ripe avocadoes. It's the only place I buy mine.

My husband and I stop here every chance we can. The cheeses that grade the cases are exceptional. The meats and sausages are incredible. We love the shop owner and appreciate all of his wine advice. This place has Italian goodies to cook with! Can't wait until they get back from vacation.

Love this store !It is not a full grocery store with everything, but it is not a 7/11 either.Friendly staff, on the side of the store is a coffee sandwich stand.Nice to have old school grocery store and not a chain.

The goon who won't go here because he had to wear a mask caused me to write this review. This is a great little store with friendly people and a really good selection of goods. It's owned by a super nice local family. But yeah, these are actually intelligent people and you WILL need to strap on your mask for the ten minutes you're in there, to keep the employees safe. If you're unable to do so, like "Sean D," then please head on over to the 7-11 in Buttfuckistan, Arkansas.

When you're out on the flats of Skagit county and have left the bustling cities of Burlington and Mt Vernon behind you but forgot to buy dessert or diet coke - thank goodness this little market exists. A few clicks above a convenience store, they have just about everything you need. you won't find vast aisles of fresh fruits, veggies or meat but you will find something that will tide you (or your pets) over until you can make the drive into town. Prices reflect the premium of the long drive to town but sometimes it's worth it.

I came here hoping to buy some ground beef and ingredients to make tacos with-which didn't happen because they barely had any of that. But, I did leave with a delicious six pack of IPAs. I thought it was funny that I was going here expecting a full grocery store. They are limited, so don't expect them to have EVERYTHING. However, they do have a nice supply of canned/boxed foods and little produce. I 100% support this place since it is so local and cute

Great little market with amazing management. To all of the people horribly rating them due to prices, first off what do you expect in a little ol town? Second, the beer is cheaper than most gas stations, I got my Trail Beer for $8.99. If you don't want to pay a buck more and support local, drive the extra miles to Walmart or whatever crap alike.

Great, friendly little store! It's amazing how many different things they carry. Out here it is the Go-To store when town is just too far!!! In all fairness I used to work there, and enjoyed every minute.
