Vons Chicken

Half order is roughly 8 pieces. Vons is one of the top Korean fried chicken spots in the area, it's easily in my top 3, closer to top 2 though. Pieces here are pretty big compared to most spots as well. Though, I've had some inconsistent spreading of sauce, so there's flavorful chicken and then original fried chicken in one order. Crispy Garlic Chicken - instead of all my chicken being garlic flavored, the reality was only 3 had a garlic flavor. The rest tasted more like the original fried chicken, still juicy and tender but without the flavor I paid for. If I were aiming for this, I would order the original and find sauce on the side. Great chicken, just not really garlic. I'd recommend this and hope that all the pieces are evenly coated.Crispy Fried Chicken (Spicy) - a bit spicy, it kicks in after a short bit. Not overly hot, but it hits. Tender and juicy chicken with big bites of meat, but still on the plain side being the original version. Crispy Fried Chicken (Mild) - no spice at all, while others might consider this plain and flavorless, the chicken is still very tender and juicy. Great safe pick, but I'd recommend trying a flavor nine times out of ten.

Von's has become my go-to spot for Korean fried chicken. They are the only place who can scratch that itch. They have a variety of flavors, and I've had the pleasure of them all. Each flavor has its own unique charm, but for me nothing beats their garlic soy flavor. Seriously, this has undoubtedly won as my personal favorite. The chicken here is always exceptionally crispy, and the flavors are irresistible. Even their base fried chicken is delicious! They are a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and taste of their chicken makes the price more than worth it. Even the sides are surprisingly tasty. Seriously, if you're a fan of Korean fried chicken, Von's Chicken is a must.

I tried A: Crunch fried chicken, and B: Crispy fried chicken when they first opened years ago and it was spectacular! Full of flavor and crunch. Two or three times I have returned and never got the same quality as the first time I tried A, which is supposed to have the 5-grain powder coating on it. What I got was just marinated regular fried chicken. It was still good, but not the same. See my picture below. B always came out good with the garlic soy glaze. The new gal at the front is very friendly - she represents! Next time I want to eat in. I saw a lot of takeout. Didn't have to wait too long for my order, maybe 20 minutes. Located on the left corner of the Ranch 99 Asian mall, this chicken shop is kinda small and not a place to take your date, but I'll sit at almost any chair and table to eat this chicken.

Chicken had a nice crisp to them and flavors were good. Four stars bc the up-charge for 'all wings' is a bit steep on top of the set prices.

Finally had a chance to try Vons chicken out in the PNW! If you've had Vons anywhere else, this location is consistent with the other ones I've had in California. Saucy and yummy Korean fried wings that will definitely satisfy the craving. The chicken comes in half and full sizes (7 pieces vs 15 pieces). My friend and I got the garlic and yangnyeom crispy chicken. The garlic ones were more crunchy compared to the yangnyeom, which I personally like. Pieces are fairly big pieces and it comes pickled radish. Orders take about 10-15 minutes so if you're in a rush, order ahead. Ample parking right outside the shop and there is limited seating inside but we got a seat no problem.

Vons Korean fried chicken is off the hook! The chicken is amazing, and the breading they use has a nice crunch and texture! Recommend getting the spicy boneless crispy fried chicken with a side of white rice! Ambiance is a bit hole in the wall look but do not judge this book by its cover! The service is quick and they are nice! Eating in you are served on paper plates with Togo boxes and disposable utensils. This however will not keep me from getting an order of their delicious fried chicken! Don't miss out, give Vons a try. They don't disappoint!

Chicken was subpar at best, nothing to write home about. Disappointing since other Vons locations I've tried have always been amazing. Like others said, I was shocked that the food was served in a paper take-out box with plastic utensils when we had a group dining in. Even though the chicken wasn't stellar, the service was our main gripe. The woman at the counter was rude and took our order with her headphones in and couldn't hear us over her music. Maybe next time consider removing them while taking someone's order? Tables were sticky as well. Overall unappetizing atmosphere, cannot recommend this location to anyone. It was embarrassing taking our friends here after hyping it up, thinking it would be as great as its other locations in California, only to deal with some of the worst service any of us have ever seen.

I've been meaning to try this place for the fried chicken and finally, I decided to.I went for the take out and it was quick-at least 15 mins and it was ready. I think it is pretty pricey though for the quality and tbh. However, I did wanted to try. It was garlic-we good and crunchy. The aroma was wonderful, the inside was juicy. I thought the flavors were kind of bland though. The inside was bland. I appreciate the daikon on the side that brought balance to my palate. After a couple of pieces though, I was good. Not too impressed by the raving of others. But it's a good place to have nearby. I might dine in and perhaps it will be a different experience. I'd still recommend as others have different taste buds and expectations with fried chicken. One will differ...

This place is a hit and miss. Often times the chicken is so dried out that it's almost a beef jerky texture. It seemed it was refried several times. I hate to waste food but the last order I got was a total disappointment.

I picked up my order yesterday to bring them to potluck gathering. The chicken was dried out and hard to chew. The Yangnyum sauce was good but the chicken was really tough to chew. I was embarrassed and disappointed sharing the chicken picked up. The Vons was usually fresh and crispy so I came back but not this time.
