I came here for brunch on a Wednesday morning and it was surprisingly busy! Or all the tables were taken so my friend and I had to wait a while for a table to open up. The cafe is pretty small though, there's only like 6 or so two person tables inside? So don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table even on a weekday and I'm sure even more so on weekends. I did see a sign that said no laptops on the weekends though so that may help a little. There are also The cafe itself is super cute! Small and cozy. There's a table large table in the middle where they sell misc. goods/gifts. The food menu is kinda small with just a few breakfast and lunch items, but they also a good variety pastries in a display case that I think changes often. The drink menu is what you'd expect at from a cafe. My friend and I shared the breakfast sandwich and it was good! It's simple with just egg and cheese I think? But the bun was really soft and the sandwich came out nice and warm. I would get it again! We also shared a slice of the orange chiffon cake which was good too. The cake was light and the icing added just the right amount of sweetness to it. I've been here twice now and would be up for coming back again. It's kind of hidden in a neighborhood so parking is free/easy too. Check out Volunteer Cafe if you're looking a charming, cozy spot for a small bite or to catch up with a friend :)

Came here for brunch with a girlfriend this morning! We ordered the breakfast sandwich and a slice of the chiffon cake to share. I also ordered the matcha latte and she got the chai latte. We both really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich! The bread was really soft and the egg and cheese was perfectly warmed. The slice of cake was pretty light and fluffy and not too sweet which matched well with the sweet frosting. The cafe itself was cozy with several tables. Not huge inside so I can image weekends being super busy and hard to get a table as we already had to wait for a table on a weekday. Would come back if in the area!

A super cute cafe in a pleasant neighborhood in Seattle!Great place to stop by if you're in the area - there might be a line but it goes quickly. For food, the toast with avocado was superb as they make sure to pack on the avocado. The cakes are all very moist and good. The baguette with chicken was also very good, but not worth the price ($16!) For drinks, I recommend the latte with burnt sugar! Their outdoor seating is really nice, so I recommend coming on a nice day. Overall good, but 4/5 because of the prices and I didn't like the poppy seed roll sandwich.

Visited this cute cafe on gloomy Saturday morning. Lovely store with ample space for mingle and shop, inside and out. We ended up grabbing a table outside (to accommodate my fur baby), ordered few items for lunch. Avocado toast, Eggplant spread with boiled egg, feta and herbs, olive focaccia, and slice of orange chiffon cake. All very lovely crafted, and coffee they brew... Would love to try more of their baked goods, sandwiches (egg & cheese!) and soup on the future visits.

This is a cute little café with a curated collection of breakfast/brunch options in Capitol Hill in the middle of residential central near Volunteer Park. Beware of the slow seating rotation.

CUTE spot! I was walking from capital hill to volunteer park and serendipitously found this spot. I didn't expect such a cute place in, what seemed to be, a mostly suburban area. +1 point for a sign that said no laptops on friday/saturdays, this made for such an engaging atmosphere -- people actually talking to each other instead of being on their screens; such a nice change!I got the vanilla iced latte and to be honest, it was way too sweet for me. When I went in line again to buy another espresso shot, they graciously gave it for free as they had known I was just in line. They definitely didn't need to do that but it was such great service. If i were romanticizing my life for the day, I would definitely stop by to make my life seem more aesthetically nice than it is. I can't wait to try more food though as other reviews seem to rave for the sandwiches.

One of the best cafes in Cap Hill. There's nice outdoor seating in their garden but it's only good for when it's sunny. Their food is always amazing and quick- the Kimchi Toast was a hit tasted and exactly like sushi

This spot definitely has the best BEC (bacon egg and Cheese) breakfast sandwich in town. You are doing yourself a massive disservice if you don't order the breakfast sandwich with Bacon.

Being right next to the park and the neighborhood around is soo cute and the inside is so bright! I like how it is a grocery and has local crafts for sale as well. The drink I got was oat milk latte with peanut butter, so good! And not gritty which happens a lot with peanut butter flavor, so highly rec! Also got a passionfruit butter cookie, which was only okay since I didn't like the texture, but I want to go back and try the savory food!

This quiet, unassuming corner cafe quickly transforms into a bustling, packed hot spot as the morning hours go by - especially on the weekends. They are stocked with a few high end, niche pantry items and a small selection of wine and coffee beans to take home. Their coffee menu features all of the classics with a selection of syrups you can add to your drinks - but you can also get diner classics like an egg cream! I had a black drip/filter coffee, which was pretty good, but served by the nicest people. Not the best or the worst I've ever had which at 8 am is a winner in my book. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich, no bacon, as it was the only hot breakfast item (they also have a moorish looking granola bowl that is warm weather worthy). It was warm and fresh and oozing with cheese as it was perfectly sliced in half for easy, quick consumption - which I did! It is a class bodega style sammie done well - I just wish there were a couple more customization options.Don't skip on their pastry case, either! It's fully stocked with beautifully made sweets and treats to be enjoyed any time in the day (like the pear cardamom muffin or chocolate "babka" roll).
