Viva Jalisco Mexican Restaurant

Ordered takeout from them over the weekend and while the quantity of food for one entree was great, the food lacked a lot of flavor. I ordered the combo with 4 items, and all of them fell apart little bland to the point where I ended up adding my own sauces or seasoning at home. The enchilada was definitely the best of the three, but the tostada and chalupa did not have much flavor.

It's been a really long time since I'd been here but decided to give it a shot again. My date really enjoys Mexican food and I remember this place being pretty good!It looks about the same as it ever did. Perhaps a little more empty; one entire section was closed up, but I assume that's 'cause we got there a bit late post-dinner rush. The staff was pretty friendly. We shared a 2-person fajitas, it was ample food for both of us. I had a couple of glasses of wine, which was fine for the house pour.There was plenty left over to take home, so the portions were generous enough, including the setup plates. I really would've preferred a bit more flavor though, it wasn't bad, just sort of middle of the road I suppose.It's probably due for a bit of a deep cleaning. I didn't really want to rest anything I was going to handle or actually eat on the table. It just has that "dated" feel about it. Not really bad but a little refresh could ean another star in my book.I'd still recommend going; it's nice to have non-chain Mexican options scattered around the area.

Let's start with the good. I came in at lunch and it looked kind of busy. Only one waitress seemed to be on staff. She was great! And she was doing a good job handling all of her customers, so huge kudos to her! And the food came extremely quickly. I ordered the taco salad with picadillo and it tasted good. Now comes the not-so-great part. It was 3/4 shredded lettuce with some meat and a tiny amount of tomato and even less cheese on top. I left the vast majority of lettuce and the fried taco bowl.I was in and out in only about 15 minutes! BEWARE: This restaurant was VERY expensive! CONSTRUCTIVE SUGGESTIONS TO THE RESTAURANT: *Lower your prices a bit*Font on your menu is tiny, it was very difficult to read. Otherwise menu was nice visually. *For your prices, your chips and salsa portion was very small. *Get rid of the fried shells for taco salad, those went out in the 1990's, and "make" the salads. Probably won't be coming back.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I love the Al pastor tacos! Also their Margaritas are so good! Amazing customer service and I think it is family owned.

Ordered Chips & Guac and side of salsa. Total was close to $19. The guac was 2 small scoops. I don't mind paying the higher price but the potion was ridiculous.

Disclaimer is we are from CA so high expectations . Overall great beans with my vegetarian enchiladas. Food was good but not great. My enchiladas needed more flavor and to be hotter. I'd eat here again but it won't be a go to. The staff were super friendly so always a plus

This is a family favorite!! The servers treat you like family! Food is great and big portions!! My favorite is the soups! Great drinks and the churros are delicious

Been going here since I was a kid. Great food. Relaxed atmosphere and very family friendly.

Updating my review after going in-person. The last time the pork was a bit dry, but this time around I went for mainly chicken and that was fantastic. The food this time around was all top notch and the chips definitely seem to be made in-house. They were so nice and thin and crunchy with a delicious salsa alongside it. All the food was great, but the highlight was how quick and friendly the service was. Our waitress seemed to be the only one around and was on top of everything. The cook brought the food from the back and even room the time to refill my soda. Everyone working together for excellent service makes it well-worth going in for.

Love the food!! great friendly service and everything I've had here always makes me happy. Great comfort especially in the winter! LOL!!
