YamaChen's Sushi

My favorite neighborhood sushi spot. The servers are always attentive and the food is fresh made to order. Great place to dine in like dining in Japan.

Authentic sushi in a casual setting. Rolls were delicious and well prepared. Menu was large with good options and a few specials. The main thing that set this restaurant apart was the service. The waitress was attentive and also they gave me an extra small Alaska roll on the side and even a free piece of cheesecake at the end. Everyone was so friendly and seemed very genuine. Highly recommend!

The place was a nice spot to stop for lunch with my sister. She wanted sushi and I was pretty skeptical of sushi places after living in Japan for a few years, but this place was pretty good. I liked the sushi rolls and we got the Iron man roll and the rainbow roll. My sister also ordered the shumai and miso soup too.

Service here is friendly and professional. The ambiance as soon as you walk in is relaxing and inviting and you feel like you've stepped into a different world. It has a very traditional Japanese feel to it. You get a small plate of edamame as a complimentary snack, and there are several beverages between sake, wine, tea, etc. I've had several different rolls there and none of them disappointed! They were all well made, beautifully presented, and delicious!

Yama has the best sushi in the 757. Good food. Good atmosphere. Great service. And the staff are best. They treat you like your family.

We went here with two other friends. The service was really good, and our waitress was super kind. The inside is decorated nicely giving it a cool vibe. The sushi regular was good, and the spicy tuna roll was yummy. My husband got the earthquake roll and the dragon roll. It was all very tasty. The dumplings and egg rolls were classic. The egg rolls were a bit mushy on the inside. I also felt the sushi had a lot of rice. And I believe the avocado pieces were too big. Overall, the quality of the fish was nice, and the sushi rice had a nice and subtle flavor. The sauces truly complemented the rolls. We had a good time with yummy food.

Not many people inside for a Friday night, I was very surprised because the service and food was too notch! Before ordering my food, I was served edamame which was tasty, Im still a little unsure how to eat it because it kept popping the little beans all over the table. Anyways, I ordered the two roll special and added the salad as well. I was impressed with how many pieces of sushi came out and the salad was a good portion, I love the dressing that come with it, it has a peanut flavor to it along with onions. It sounds like a weird combo but it's quite delicious, I recommend it! The ambience really sets this place apart from all the other sushi places that I have been to, it's a little more on the romantic side so if your going out on a date I would check this place out.

Both rolls are delicious with great sauces! The portion is very generous and the service is super friendly. Highly recommended!

The food was great!!The service was even greater!! Not sure if they do this at other locations, but we received a few random "On the House" items from the menu; all tasted just as amazing as everything else!!

So disappointed they got rid of the lunch sushi special in the bento box! That was our favorite :( still good food, though
