As a regular at Yaya Asian Gourmet, I can confidently say it's one of the best Chinese restaurants around! They have yet to disappoint, and every visit is a reminder of why I keep coming back. My go-to dishes are the Singapore Chow Mei Fun and House Special Fried Rice, which are always seasoned to perfection. Plus, they're generous with the shrimp, which is a big plus!Their General Tso's Chicken is another favorite--it's always served hot and consistently delicious, a level of quality you don't find at every spot. Yaya Asian Gourmet gets 5 stars from me every time.

I picked up a lunch special yesterday, Kung Pao Chicken. I ordered a pork eggroll with it. The egg roll was good, crispy, and fresh. Not much pork, but I wasn't expecting much either. The entree was good, I asked for extra spicy, and it looks like they obliged. It was fresh, but I was still wishing for more flavor or zing. I added a packet of soy sauce to it and it helped a little. The staff was polite and I was served pretty quickly. I'd go back to try something else. One thing I wish is that there wasn't green pepper in the dish. I'm not crazy about it, I guess I'll have to remember to ask for them to leave it out.

What can I say about Ya Ya? Hubs & I ordered online. Picked it up & drove to sit by the water to eat. OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! Pick up was quick/easy (except that it's in downtown Norfolk so expect the typical shenanigans of Norfolk traffic). Food was hot fresh nicely spiced and so so tasty! Will definitely be back!

Found Ya Ya on one of the side streets downtown and decided to give them a try after checking out the reviews. Staff was friendly. The food was good. I ordered the beef and broccoli with jasmine rice and that was delicious. Got the shrimp with lo mein for my husband. He said that needed a bit more sauce and seasoning. The egg rolls were good. I gave 4 stars only because of the lo mein. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for good Chinese food.

I'm not from the area, so this review is based on an isolated visit. I ordered the shrimp & veggie lunch special that came with white rice. The food was fresh and tasted ok. Only one other table was occupied at 2pm on a Friday. They seemed to have a good stream of regulars coming in for pick-up. Staff was sufficiently welcoming but not overly friendly. It must have been delivery day because the hall was lined with boxes. With so many other restaurants in the area I probably won't be back to this one during my stay.

Food is always hot and fresh! We work close by and live an hour away. There have been times where we have lunch, pack up the leftovers and it's still just as fresh when we get home after 5pm. The customer service is always very friendly and welcoming.
