I'll say that I was leery to stay here given the overall poor reviews, but I was here for a group event and I was hoping that the oceanside venue would make up for some of its faults. Additionally, we would lose a deposit for the event we were at if we didn't use their host hotel. The problems started with booking. I had to modify the dates of my reservation for the 3 rooms I needed. A couple of days before the event, I realized that they had ended one room a day too early. 25 minutes of back and forth on hold (and being told that the "events" lady doesn't work weekends), I still didn't have it solved. I ended up having to go through the event's planner to get it fixed. When I arrived at the hotel, the guy at the desk was rude. It took forever to get my room keys. I noticed that the entrance to our section of the hotel was dirty. The floors weren't clean. The pool wasn't functioning (and was filled with an unnatural shade of green water). The exercise room was closed for "maintenance" (but judging by all the sand on the floor--it had been closed for an extended period).Upon entering my room, I closely inspected everything due to reports of mold, bugs, and general uncleanliness. While it did appear that the sheets had at least been washed, I can't say the same for most other parts of the room. Staffing shortages aside, this was next level. There was a spiderweb in the corner (with a live spider still in it). The best part though, was the BOOGER on the bathroom wall. Yes, an actual effing BOOGER. It was a big honking "pick and swipe" right above the light switch. As I was laying on the bed to rest for a few minutes, a housekeeper came in the room without knocking. She clearly was surprised a guest was in the room. Thankfully I wasn't naked! But wait, it gets better! When others in my party arrived and went to get their room, they were assigned a room that was already occupied. Yep... that's right, they went to their room and found other peoples' belongings in it! So back down to the desk we went and spent another 30-45 minutes trying to get an unoccupied room. The first night I stayed there, the bedside alarm clock randomly went off around 0500, scaring the bejesus out of my roommate and I. We couldn't figure out how to turn it off in our confusion, so I unplugged it. The weird thing is that when I plugged it back in 5 hours later, it somehow still had the correct time... and the alarm was now on for 0600. Now thinking that I had a "Short Circuit" situation, I turned the alarm off and double checked that it was truly "off".The following morning, around 0130, we heard a screeching sound. Figuring it was the possessed alarm clock again, we came up swinging at it. Alas, it was not the alarm clock. In our slumber, we couldn't figure out what it was. It *sounded* like it could be a fire alarm, but the hallway/room strobe lights weren't on and there was no recording telling us to exit. I tried calling the front desk but the lines were dead. We finally made our way outside and discovered that there was an actual fire. As it turned out, there was a fire in the communications/utilities area off of the lobby. We had to stand outside for over an hour and bask in the pungent aroma of an electrical fire. Once we figured out there wasn't a risk of the fire spreading to our tower, we hiked the 12 floors back up to the top and tried going back to bed. The next day I went to take a shower and realized that the drain was partially clogged. There was also a toilet paper shortage which caused several guests to go buy their own. I know that housekeeping can't come by every day due to staffing shortages, but this was extreme. At some point, the humidity in the room finally caused the booger to start flaking off the wall. While hilarious, it was also disgusting. We had to empty our own trash (which isn't a huge deal, but this was over the top). There wasn't a trash chute anywhere I could find, so we had to put the bags out in the hall. By day 4 or 5, we were out of trash bags and had exhausted or supply of "Walmart" bags. People started putting large bags of trash in front of the elevator (including one that was filled with dirty diapers). They clearly didn't bother to pick all these up on a regular basis. By the last day of our stay, we had nowhere else to put our room trash but on the floor, without a bag.Oh, after the fire, there was no WiFi and the telephones didn't work... for the rest of the week. There was no apology for the inconvenience or disruption the fire caused. Not. One. Word. The only part of the hotel that seems to function normally is the bar/grill. I have no complaints about their staff or service. Additionally, the beachfront was lovely. Moral of the story, do NOT stay here unless you are okay with bugs, dirty rooms, trash piles, a non-functioning pool and workout area, and random fires. But the ocean view *is* beautiful. That is all.

I would have given this hotel a 5-star rating had it provided a working coffee maker in the room. I had to ask three different (male) front desk attendants before asking a housekeeper (female) and actually getting it, and then it didn't work! Also, the room service did not exist because of "staffing shortages." Their staffing shortages are not my problem, ya know? It was an Airshow weekend, and most of the shops along Atlantic Ave were closed; why is beyond me. However, the beds and pillows were divine (even though the "view" we got was of the pool area, plus we had noisy neighbors). The air conditioning was wonky (it didn't get cold enough), but luckily, there was a nice breeze most of the time, so having the patio door open was a plus. Additionally, the toilet was EXTREMELY loud (we were on the 2nd floor). The room was clean, and the staff was friendly; however, the hallway smelled mildewy to me. I guess that's what we get for being so close to the beach (?).A note on the restaurant: The prices are high. A cup of coffee was $3.50 on Saturday and went up to $4 on Sunday. Since they didn't have room service, we were directed to go down to the restaurant to get a cup and keep our cup if we wanted free refills. This was all very inconvenient. As a disabled senior (I use a walker), it would have been nice to have all the amenities listed on their web page. If I had known ahead of time they would not have provided a full menu breakfast (they only had a buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, muffins, and fresh fruit), I would have booked elsewhere. This buffet was $15 per person, and the drinks were NOT included. It was not worth it.We did, however, have dinner there one night. My friend had the crab cake sandwich and fries, and I had a HUGE salad with hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, feta (a lot of it), and olives over a bed of romaine lettuce. I added a grilled salmon filet that was cooked perfectly. My friend also had their signature margarita that she said was the "best she's ever had." All in all, it was a delicious meal, and our servers were fantastic.

This place could be worth more than what it is... only if the owners spent some money for upkeeps and renovations..... It's in a nice location, next to the beach, even from my room, I could exit via the sliding window, walk 30 seconds and I had access to the beach.Checking-in, simple and quick. The staff checking me in was friendly, took time to explain how the parking worked, the direction to my room. When you check in, they will give you a hang tag for your car, make sure it's visible or your car will be towed.I was given the first floor room, which was located next to the main entrance/exit. It gets very noisy and the noise finally died down around midnight.... The room was ok, I tried using the coffee machine to heat up the water, after 12 tries, gave up as the coffee grinds were still coming out of the system. I'm still wondering what that mystery door was for!

This place was the worst. I made the mistake of trusting in the Wyndham brand because I ran out of time and had to book somewhere to start in the motif a two day driving trip. The place is unsanitary and unsafe. It's completely run down. A few details:1. Filthy moldy shower curtain liner.2. Tub doesn't drain properly.3. 2 towels left in a room for four.Bathroom did not appear clean/sanitary (sink not wiped down, tissue box stuffed with trash.4. Hanger rack on the floor.5. Wall safe not open , left locked.6. Circuit breaker panel located not in a box/with a closure, just in the wallpaper next to the bed7. Fridge not cleaned out8. Trash left on balcony...balcony had not been cleaned.9. Rust and mold presence throughout.10. Pool/beach towels were barely available and were the size of a hand towel11. Odors were present throughout. In short, we couldn't wait to get out. This hotel was $430 for the one night, a total waste.

Look, you get what you pay for. Even so, at a little over $500 for two nights, that's still a semi decent amount. Bottom line is the place needs a major renovation. Everything from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms. The hallways are dark and dank, and so are the stairwells - plus they smell of mold and possibly urine. The in room safe had no door (see pic), and the wallpaper was bubbling up from water damage. The staff was very nice - no complaints there. It's simply the condition of the property that earned the two star rating.

I told the manager Kelly that there were flies! She said they don't make fly repellent! Huh They didn't have our reservations correct! This hotel is worst than Motel 6! Carpets are dirty floors are dirty ! There was banging outside of my room all night! and after I complained about the fly the response was uh we took care of it right! just wow cats dogs everywhere dead flies in the corner! it's embarrassing disgusting How are you open

Please read all reviews before proceeding to book here. Having just stayed here 3 miserable nights I can honestly advise *do not book here*. Truly the worst stay anywhere, ever. The false advertising on their web site is egregious -- this hotel owner should be held responsible, cited and fined for the bait and switch that is clearly done here at this hotel. Shame on you Wyndham for allowing this owner to continue the scam. Bottom line: do not book -- you will NOT receive anything any where close to what you pay for here.

Zero stars! This resort sold me a time share. I tried desperately to cancel it the following week but my sales person did not answer phone and blocked me. This company made it so hard to cancel that they are now hurting my credit. This hotel operation is a bunch of non professionals. I do not recommend doing business with them.
