Excellent breakfast! Cute and quaint little restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Must try the sweet potato biscuit with country ham!

Haven't been there in a while. I believe it is closed at this time. Went a couple of months ago and will go back when it opens again!

I was in Winton, NC, recently ("Why?" you might ask. I was on a business trip) around lunch time and had been told that the best place in the area for lunch was the Winton Corner Diner. I have no doubt that my information was correct and it was the "best" place around. It was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The food arrived quickly.I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. It was good for being in North Carolina but I question whether it would have sold in Philadelphia. It seemed like the meat was Steakums, but I like Steakums. I cook Steakums at home. The bread was fresh and good. The fries on the side were quite nice. If in Winton again, I will probably do lunch there if the timing is right. So, if you are in Winton, NC, for lunch (or breakfast -- they don't serve dinner) try the best place in town.

It should be called the Winton Corner Dive, the food is over priced, over cooked, meager portions. Its outside appearance is awkward, looks like the owners were building a restaurant at the beach only to put it in Winton (of all towns). My next place to eat when I'm in Winton is the Duck Thru gas station.
