Wing King - Rosemont

Food and service were Amazing! By far the best wings I've tried in the area. I came on Super Bowl Sunday and was able to get seated and served right away. Caroline was my bartender/ server and was very personable and helpful with taking my order. I was luckily sat next to one of the owners, Lisa, who I ended up having a wonderful conversation with and she recommended some great sauce flavors for my wing order. She told me about their deal days as well as Kareoke nights and trivia (I will try to make it to the Friends one this Wednesday!) This was my second time at this location, the first time we came on a night that they had live music! That experience plus being able to watch the superbowl on their many televisions will make me a regular customer whenever I have a hankering for wings! -will definitely be back :)

Out shopping this evening, hubby decides to visit what once was his fav spot for wings. Just 200 ft away, he crosses 4 lanes to make the entrance. OH WOW. THIS MUST BE GOOD. My first time here, I'm thinking it's a dive, but ,let's be honest, some "Dives" have the best food. Welp, this was not. The outdoor dining area smells like it could use a good power wash, a wipe down of the tables and chairs. Through the first door. Dank smelling dirty carpet. Finally inside and I immediately want to leave. He's excited, so I grin and bear it. I go against what I normally have. Order takes 20 mins. After snapping a couple of pics, I got back to my car. Hubby retnd to the car with our order. Arriving home, and I do wish we had dined in ok the dirty tables. I wanted to through the entire meal in the trash. Hot q wings were just drizzled with sauce, I felt so bad for my wing connoisseur dry wings, just a little bit of wet sauce. My wings were, on the other hand, covered in some oily mess with flavorless parm. Fries overdone and bot even fresh, just warmed up, the fried pickles had to be deep fries at least 5 times. The inside was paper dry, and the cornmeal crust just fell off in the paper. trash! Sadly, the leftovers went into the garbage also. First and last time for me.

I would have to describe this place as distinctly mediocre. A large group of about 25 of us came in for a meeting, and we pretty much ended up occupying the entire seating area.Unfortunately, they were short staffed as only one waiter could take care of us. He was really nice and personable and just for that I'm giving the extra star. So to get a beer took about 15 minutes, and the food took closer to 25-30. The wings were ok, they were a nice size, but a little dry. Dozens of sauces to choose from, which is really cool.It's really a dive, the restroom is kind of falling apart, I didn't even feel comfortable walking in it. I really wouldn't return, I'm sorry to say.

Friends introduced us to Wing King a few months ago and it was great the first time. Came back a second and third time and it was okay. Wings were dry and overcooked; like a solid 7 out of 10. THOUGH, their ranch!!! 12/10. If anything, I would only go for their ranch. Service is great, ranch is great, just wish the wings were better.

*Low rating due to POOR COMMUNICATION and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!-- In preparation of Super Bowl Sunday, I made attempts to call ahead to place my wing order for the upcoming game day on Sunday. I was unable to reach anyone through the phone after a few attempts, so I went directly to the Wing King VA Bch Blvd location to place my order on Wednesday, Feb 5th around 3:30pm. When I went inside there was a female associate on the phone and a guy behind the counter. The guy asked me what he could help me with, so I told the guy behind the counter that I was looking to place my wing order in advance for Super Bowl Sunday and that I was also looking to add a side order of the broccoli and cheese bites with the wing order for the broccoli to pick up at the same time. The associate told me that all I had to do was place the order for the wings (30 count) and that I could add the broccoli and cheese bites as a side at the time of pickup. I asked him if he was sure as I know game day is busy and I was trying to avoid any hiccups. He told me that all I needed was to place the order for the wings as the (cooking) staff would know that sides are expected to be made on the same day and that I could just pay for everything (wings and broccoli & cheese bites) at the same time. I told him that was fine and he took my name and phone number for the order. Fast forward to picking my order up on Sunday, Feb 9th and there's a table up front with the order receipts. I give my name and the lady hands me my order receipt and I say I would like to add the broccoli and cheddar bites with my wing order, and it is at this time that she informs me that they are NOT accepting any side orders which is completely different from what the other associate told me at time of placing the order! She goes to the back and comes back out and confirms they are not making the broccoli and cheese bites, but that I could talk to an associate at the counter...ok. I went ahead and paid for my $35 wing order and then I spoke to another associate behind the counter who confirmed that they were not making any sides other than fries and wedges for Super Bowl Sunday. I declined those as that is not what I wanted and already have those items available. For the lack of miscommunication on the associate's part who took my order on Wednesday, I was not offered a discount on my current order to nor was I offered a future discount on broccoli and cheese bites or something along those lines to rectify the inconvenience. The only reason I even placed my order with Wing King was for those broccoli and cheese bites. There are plenty of other places that make wings, but not those specific bites!This is a huge inconvenience! If the associate that took my order was better informed, I would have went ahead and bought the broccoli and cheese bites prior to Super Bowl Sunday. Going forward, please ensure all associates are informed of restrictions and all employees are on the same page so that they can better communicate with customers! It is not up to the customer to know the restrictions! The employees should be informed so they can accurately inform the customers! Do better please.

Ordered food for pick up at 11:43. We went to the restaurant and it was completely closed. Multiple people stood outside waiting on their food that was already paid for. Somebody showed up to the restaurant after I had to call and get in contact with the Kempsville location to figure out what the hell was going on. Last time we went there, we sat for 25 minutes and never had a server greet us. We tried to give them a second try and this is what happened. I won't be returning back to this location. Kempsville has never had these issues. Ever.

Always great service and yummy food. The bar is filled with regulars that would definitely make you welcomed.

As a Buffalonian, these wings are closest to true wings we ate in Buffalo.Unfortunately the patio area is usually too smoky and the inside sometimes has a cigarette smell too. But it remains my favorite wings spot. So DEFINITELY try them if you are looking for goooood wings.

Best wings I have had from around the Tidewater area. Their sides are good too. Haven't had good luck with their delivery, but it's always nice to go inside to eat too.
