Wine Whisperer

I have been looking into going here. I keep seeing it when going to Rusty Taco or just driving on Broad Street. I finally decided to go with two friends. It was such a great experience! I felt like I was in Napa Valley! It was decorated so nice and elegant. The service is so great! The guy that seated us, sat us at a nice table and we got delicious food. I got mini sliders that were small and perfect! (I still think about them) we also got the cheese puff I forgot the name of it. but I think it's Brie? Then we got flights and the guy asked us questions about our personality. What's your favorite color?What's your dream vacation?things like that and the wines were all delicious!Anytime I have friends in town I WILL be bringing them here!!

This is a tiny but mighty wine bar with a knowledgeable staff and unique selection of wines by the glass or flight. My husband travels a lot and was home for a few days so we decided to try Wine Whisperer on a Friday evening. We were sat outside as we requested and Josh greeted us quickly and explained how things work. For drinks I got the Titan flight, which had a higher end selection of reds and my husband got a mixed drink. We also ordered pimento cheese...I have a rule of always having food when I drink, and I knew we would have dinner later so a nibble was perfect. Our drinks were delivered within 10 minutes. They had a minor snafu with my husband's choice...they didn't have his selection but replaced it with a similar option. Our pimento cheese never showed up so I gently reminded Josh and he brought it within a few minutes. I enjoyed the visit and the wine. I told my husband this would be a great lazy Sunday afternoon spot for when you want to have a glass of wine but don't want to crack a bottle at home. We will be back, I'm sure.

My boyfriend wanted me try out the wine whisper so bad. That's my thing lately, trying out new wine spots that offers tastings/flights. The bartender suggested I get a dealers choice flight for $17. The pours are heavy so that's great! Mh pours included a glass of rose and two glasses of wine wines. My bf and I also enjoyed the wagyu beef meatball sliders which were juicy and perfectly flavored with some Italian seasoning, tomato sauce and provolone cheese. I ended my visit with a half pour of some sparking brut for $7 and walked around to see the many different wine bottles available for sale. I will be back for dinner. This place is perfect for a date night, a winery feel bday party, or a girls night out.

First time coming here. It's a nicely appointed wine bar that in addition to a great selection of wine has some very tasty food. The nibbles are scrumptious, the flatbreads are quite delicious, and the entrees are super yummy. Service is customer oriented but not in your face. Quiet spot for a nice date. Wine flights based on a short interview of your tastes and interests. Great flavors in the food - enjoy the Brie and Pear and shared the lamb. Took home a bottle from one of the flights.

I'm sad I only recently discovered them,they've been open for a yearLocated in Short Pump ( the only negative I my eyes), they are just off Pump Road and in the center with Chick-fil-A, total wine, and TazzaWe were greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in. There was a tasting available, so we did that before heading to the bistro for a bite to eat.You walk into the wine shop area.....Great selection of different wines across varietals and price.The bistro has a bar area you can sit at and several tables. Tables were spaced nicely, and seating was comfortable.Everyone staff wise is AMAZING! I want to shout out Jenna, who was welcoming and knowledgeable, and Alex, who created the Dealers Choice Flight, I tried. Had a wonderful evening at The Wine Whisperer on 11/25. What initially drew me in was the $10 champagne tasting in which the cost went towards FeedMore, but stayed for the vibe, wine and snacks. The gentlemen server was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and detailed when selecting wines. I went with dealers choice whites and my guy did the same with reds. We also ordered the shishito peppers, pimento cheese and Margherita pizza. Everything was pretty good! I would definitely suggest checking this place out whether it be for a break from shopping or a meal out with friends!

All wine bars aren't created equal and at this point. I consider myself a self-proclaimed novice wine enthusiast. My husband and I tried the wine whisperer for the first time today and I was truly impressed. We were greeted by a wholesome hostess that found us a quaint little table near the wine bar. I would recommend getting a reservation since the space is very limited. I decided to try the "Dealer's Flight" and had an amazing Chardonnay, Rose' and a dry Spanish wine. The sommelier was very thoughtful in his selections after asking me a variety of questions to pair me with the perfect wines. I love Roulette, so I'm always open to a gamble on wines. My husband had the whiskey flight and apparently he is now a fan of Rabbit Hole Dareringer. Because I love food as much as I love wine I decided to try the prosciutto, apple, Brie flat bread drizzled with honey. It was an acquired taste, but edible.If you are in search of a low key space with limited noise then this is the ideal location. It's hidden in a shopping center in short pump, so there isn't a ton of traction since it's not at the mall. Also, they have more than wine. The whiskey flights and cocktails allow some versatility!

Had the opportunity to stop in the Wine Whisperer the other evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the set up of the retail section, the bar area and the restaurant. Super cute and cozy! Definitely a place to go with friends or a special occasion. We didn't have anything to eat but the wine flight was very carefully chosen for us by Alex. He asked a couple questions and then presented us with 3 delicious tastings. My husband did red and I did white/rose. All very good! I also had a "splish-splash" half pour which is pictured. I will definitely return and Alex told us the wines change weekly! No boredom there! The rest of the staff were extremely friendly too.

Hidden gem in n RVA! Best little wine bar! Our bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would come back again any day!
