Windy City Pizza

Very pleasantly surprised! Easily the best pizza I've tried in Virginia Beach. Tried a plain cheese and pepperoni thin crust. Both delicious with a cracker crust. Can't speak to service or ambiance since I have only tried carry out. I'm very impressed so far and will update the review as I get into that deep dish!

I ordered the family size Greek salad and instead was given a box with mixed greens and a separate box containing shreddedCheddar cheese, a sliced tomatoes and a bunch of croutons. It was just a salad and for the price I would have rather gone to Bay Local for a really satisfying meal

First time i came here and was not disappointed. I ordered a personal pan pizza for me and my son to share. On the scale of 1 to 10 he gave it an 8. I thought it was lretty well mad my self for a thin crust pizza. Another thing my son enjoyed was the cheesiness and the cheese pullabilitiy. As he says "Satifying". Regarding the the serve it was great. Was greeted by a feienly face and answered all my questions expertly. Definitely looksike a great place to hangout have some pizza have a few drinks and watch the game or chill. Would definitely make my way back to try some of there other selctions Great job windy city

I went with their Famous Chicago style cheese and sauce. Sauce was great, crust was perfect, but the toppings were undercooked. The sauce was on top off the cheese which I did like, traditionally. Other than the cheese could've been more melted it was good. Called this order in 45 minutes early as suggested. Staff was friendly, and establishment was clean a little bit of Chicago exist in the environment. I will definitely try the hand tossed crust next time

This place does deep dish pizza well! That is the only dish ordered this time but want to come back to try the thin crust and other items! Ordered over the phone for pick-up and the woman taking my order was extremely nice and answered a few questions I had. She let me know it would be 45 minutes. It was ready on time and she was just as nice in person as on the phone. Ordered the heart attack deep dish sans ham and it turned out great. good sauce and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Definitely recommend for a great deep dish!

Terrible food. Do not recommend. Pizza dough was flavorless and not prepared well. The loaded fries were flavorless as well, no effort was made in regard to how much was added to them. Overall tasted very bad and was overpriced. Had made better experiences with Windy City on Kempsville Rd in Chesapeake.

For the first and last time, I ordered from here excited to try their deep dish pizza which they have a disclaimer that it takes 45 minutes to make. No biggie. I don't mind waiting and appreciated the heads up. The deep dish pizza with pepperoni cost $27!!! There are no size choices on their website so I assumed that for 27 freaking dollars, I'd be getting a large deep dish pizza! It tasted just ok to me but it was very filling. My husband liked it though. The pizza puff was $4.95, very small and tasted like a hot pocket or maybe like Tostino pizza rolls ewww and it didn't even come with sauce to dip it in. For a $41 dinner I'm pretty disappointed.

I am sadden to even write this updated review because this has been a go-to spot for my family for the last few summers. But I think it's time to hang up the hat in this place.- Appetizers: The best thing about the corn fritters were the sauce. Chicken wings were the worst wings I've ever had. They were big and juicy but soggy and not crispy. Also barely sauced. And the bread sticks were also a joke! Honestly just skip the appetizers and get a pizza.- Kids menu: I was very happy to see that they even had a kids menu because that isn't super common. We've ordered from the kids menu twice -- pizza once and then mozzarella sticks and spaghetti the next time-- and both times we're underwhelmed. The pizza was flimsy, hard to pick up and eat, and really messily made. The spaghetti was just OK-- it was wayyyy too much pasta and it enough sauce. And the sauce itself was bland. - Deep dish pizza: Thud was always the star of our trip and sadly it just wasn't as good as I remembered. The dough was good but uneven at times. It was nice and cheesy but also really wet from the sauce, which I mentioned already was bland. - Service: The staff is really nice and very dry accommodating! If this review was based on that alone, I would be a 5 because they were great. But the focus is the food and it just didn't meet the mark.So long old friend! I don't doubt that they make a good pizza but maybe skip the deep dish and appetizers.

Ordered a pizza with Italian sausage. Delivered with no sauce and no cheese. I cannot imagine anyone sending this out the door. The manager told me there was nothing she could do, I should have specified that I wanted sauce and cheese in the door dash app.

Ordered takeout never again! This was strike 3 for us! Staff was so rude - they basically hung up on us the previous time! We ordered 2 basic pizzas and told ready in 15-20 mins went to pick up but 25 mins later and we were told it would be another 45 minutes! They yelled and refused to admit they messed up-And so rude-pizza was for my wife's birthday so thanks for ruining our day-we did not deserve that at all. Never again!
