Willis Furniture & Mattress

I have driven by here on many occasions and decided to check out the renovation clearance they were having. Boy was that a good idea. We found a table we were looking for with immediate delivery and saved about $2000. Real quality stuff, all solid wood, they don't sell particle board. Service was friendly and helpful without being too pushy. They even have a coffee bar inside. The new expansion will give them some more square footage and additional showrooms. Worth the walk through if you are in the market, plus they are local!

I have been dealing with my "COVID furniture" for 2 years now! The lack of service and replies from anyone at Wills Furniture is beyond frustrating! I finally had to resort to getting in contact with the Better Business Bureau. I'm not that kind of person, mostly because it's too much work! I had 2 issues with the same section of my sofa. One was that the electrical part wasn't working properly and after contacting the BBB, that was finally fixed! I'm still dealing with my second issue. The footrest is improperly shaped for lack of a better description. It appears that they cut the padding short and attempted to hide it with the fabric... it looks terrible! I call, I e-mail and all I get is the run around! This was my first and definitely my LAST purchase at Willis simply due to their lack of customer service!

Closes early. Like 5-6pm. So plan ahead or shop on a weekend because it seems like every time I make it over here they are just about to close or I only have 30-45 minutes to browse and it is a big store with tons of items. They sell some staple fine furniture pieces like Bassett Furniture/Mirrored Furniture and Sommerset Bay items with color swatches and can order any color for you though it takes several weeks to arrive. If I remember correctly they do not offer delivery which is a bit weird for a furniture place but it's been over a year since I last inquired so perhaps that has changed... that's pretty much a deal breaker for me. Still, for smaller decorative accent pieces they have a ton, they also have a small selection of patio furniture in the entryway. In the back of the store they have a large custom selection area where they have literally probably hundreds, maybe thousands of fabric and color swatches so you can completely customize your selections with a very nice coffee area for waiting customers. I enjoy walking around but the salesmen are snobby and pushy each and every time I've come in. Sure sometimes they are pleasant but they find a way to get their digs in and say something either smart__ or snooty to me at least a few times during every visit. It's mildly irritating but I figure it's because I'm under 30 and they assume I can't afford their prices, I can, but I typically don't pour money into a place that talks down to their customers so I have yet to buy anything from here. I do enjoy looking in a nice furniture store for ideas though so I stop in here a few times a year for ideas. I suppose I'm waiting to be treated with some respect but it hasn't happened yet. Once I act irritated by their attitudes they usually act pleasant for the remainder of the interaction but now I pretty much just tell them to leave me alone so I can browse and I'll let them know if I need anything. The store is clean and well-laid out, with a ton of selections. Just based on that they'd get 4 stars - but pre-judging your customers and counting their money for them, not OK so I'm giving them 2 for a crappy attitude.

I am torn on how I feel about this furniture store. On one hand, I always find something I like, on another I know that it is totally overpriced. My entire living room is furnished from Willis Wayside, but every item was purchased due to significant discount, being floor model or being on clearance or sale. The items displayed are well made and in variety of styles, so anyone can find something here. It is limited for my taste, which is more modern and minimalistic. Be prepared to be welcome by one of the sales people when you enter the store. It seems invasive, but truly it is better than wandering thru furniture store looking for someone to help you. Usually the sales person will let you wonder while checking in on you from distance. If you ask for help they are super friendly and helpful. The women who work here have great sense of style and decorative experience.

My husband and I stopped by Willis to take a look at various furniture items for our new house. We were nicely greeted by Alli, who turned out to be an angel. She was extremely flexible, helpful and talented. We explained our current situation and our need to furnish several rooms. We were overjoyed with her efficiency, wonderful recommendations and her design acumen. We highly recommend Allison Franklin and are very grateful for all the time and effort she put forth in making our wishes come true!

Actually, it is very affordable. I just went in to "take a look at the nice things." Come to find out, the prices were better than what I thought! I bought a leather couch last year at a discount furniture store in the area. The arm has already broken apart. It is particle board. If I would have bought it from Willis, it would have been solid wood guaranteed and cheaper, lol. They have a large section of discounted furniture in the back too. Come to find out, I paid twice as much for my bedroom set five months ago as well. Only reason I am upset...is that I did not shop here earlier for my couch and bedroom set. But...I did walk out with a new chair!

Alli was very helpful in helping us pick the right sofa for our needs. We wanted practically industrial strength cushions and she delivered. There was a sale going on at the time we bought it (November 2019) which caused a bit of confusion on the final price. I decided not to move forward with it at one point and left the store a bit disappointed. She stayed in contact with me and clarified what happened with the quote mistake and we ended up getting a Sherrill sectional for a wonderful price thanks to Allis commitment to help us!

Horrible prices, the staff weirdly watched me the whole time. As I was leaving the store, one of the employees stood and watched me leave at the front doors.

Ordered some nice Amish furniture here. Very helpful service and delivery was flawless.
