What-A-Burger

Really enjoy the old school vibe. Love coming here with my grandparents and getting a burger. Really love their burgers. Have fresh ingredients and you can get the well done. The service is slow at some times but, I'd like to think it's because they're making each burger with love. Also, one of my favorite places to get milkshake and fries.

I don't know how many times I've been here and never posted about it. I like the ambiance old school mom n pop shop look. When you walk in you can see them prepping your food. Never had bad service here. We always get cheeseburgers and fries. I would give it 5 stars but they've messed up my cheeseburger twice by adding ketchup when asked for none. Not a deal breaker that's why I've been back!

I am going to give it four stars for old times sake but it was not as great as I remember it two decades ago. I had a cheeseburger and fries and drink. I sat out back in the picnic table area which is something I have never done.

To be fair, the burger I ordered was one of the tastiest I've had in a long time. My only issue is how I got it. I ordered my burger and fries combo and I tipped on top of the order. The crew thanked me out loud. I was impressed. Then I was made to wait over half an hour while the call-in orders were flying out the door. I supposed was normal as long as my meal was hot. I received my burger afterward when I became outwardly frustrated about the wait time. The lady behind the counter called me "my love" then called my number and handed me my bag. I was polite said thank you and left. My burger and fries were both cold in the bag as if they were sitting behind the counter the whole time making me wait. I hoped the disdain they displayed during my wait was not because I was wearing a yarmulke and tzitzits. Perhaps this is the treatment you get for tipping.

Food was anything to speak about. It wasn't bad just wasn't memorable. Service was good. Atmosphere was pick up ur food and go.

Reminds me of west Farmington NM really good burger we had it in New Port VA, the only thing made it bad is the neighborhood we're it sits, the parking at back smells like pee where the sheds is :-(

I love What-A-Burger. The burgers are authentic and very reasonably priced. My husband enjoys the BBQ sandwiches as well and my son likes the milkshakes. Thumbs up for me

Great flavor and price. My only recommendation would be to put the toppings for sandwiches on the side. By the time my food arrived the bun to my burger was mushy. Definitely recommend!

Parking lot was empty and suddenly four cars, must be the after shipyard shift customers. Food is always quick and not particularly to my tastebuds but my adult sons seem to love this place and go when they're in the area. There isn't much to say for ambiance as it's a grab and go kinda place. I think the parking lot is designed poorly as I had trouble getting out of my spot as other larger vehicles were parked and with the angle of spots I had to maneuver and go through another spot. If there had been a vehicle in the spot I would've been stuck.

The food at this hole-in-the-wall is simply delicious. The cheeseburgers, crinkle fries, and milkshakes are super delicious.
