Wharf Hill Brewing

Yummy Yummy Wharf Brewing I can't get enough of there onion rings and fried green tomatoes they're so super good. They will be part of my Christmas dinner.

Been going to Wharf Hill for many years. I usually get the same thing....Shrimp and Fried Green Tomatoes. I decided to try something new. BTW, their Fried Green Tomatoes with Remoulade Sauce is amazing!Today I got the the Grilled Fish Sandwich with Onion Rings and an order of Mozzarella Sticks. I have had the Mozzarella Sticks before and they were amazing so I had a taste for them today. But today they were WAY undercooked. I was very disappointed today. I probably won't ever get them again. That killed future cravings for them there. The fish sandwich on the other hand was seasoned so perfectly well! The breading with the lettuce and tomato was killing the taste so I took it off so I could savory it, it was so good! The onion rings were good, just a bit too much batter, but I don't mind taking the batter off and eating just the onion dipped in the Remoulade Sauce.

Came here with a group of 8 on a Friday night. We arrived and gave our name to the hostess and then waited at the bar area to enjoy a drink until our table was ready. This took about 20 minutes which was fine. It was a bit crowded standing at the bar area and you could tell the servers were a bit annoyed with people getting in their way with nowhere else for us to stand. Not sure we had any other option. Thankfully we were seated and our server was fast and efficient. I wouldn't say it was the friendliest place but maybe that's because it was busy and they were just getting things done.Regardless, the food was good, everyone was happy, and we all enjoyed a beer.

Stopped by to grab a quick drink. Did not try any food but did check out the menu and will come back to eat some of the delicious food items that they had listed. ! Sat at the bar and the bartender was helpful with helping my husband pick out a beer. She gave him two different samples and he found a beer to drink. It was later afternoon on a Saturday but the bar area was busy but it seemed like everyone was being taken care of and the food that came out looked yummy. It's a cool bar area with lots of wooden accents and just a downhome feel.

Went here as were about 25 minutes away camping at Chippokes. What a fun location. Everything from the history on the menu to the diverse amount of decorations everywhere. Everything seems to have a reason for being there which makes things fun from a nostalgia perspective. Came in with the fam and wanted some beer and food. Gotta say, the beer is pretty decent. Definitely a classic brewery not going too far off of what traditional beer should be. As far as the food, definitely ask about the sizing before you order. You can easily find yourself with too much food! :)Overall, it's a solid place to visit if you're in the area and want a place to chill/drink/eat. Hands down would come back again! Went with my husband and dad this evening. I had the fish and chips and so did my dad, my husband had the volcano burger. All of our dishes were cooked well, they really do fry items well. We had started with chicken wings which were coated and battered heavily, we had sauce on the side- they were good! We had the pretzels as well- the beer queso was so good. Always love the vibe here.

Been a long time since I patronized Wharf Hill Brewery. Was craving for home cooked meatloaf and I remembered that this was the place where they don't skimp on the size of the meatloaf being served. A whooping portion that's flavorful and paired with a hearthy servings of mash potato with gravy. I had to take a doggie bag:-)))The appetizers of onion rings was... good enough for 3 people. Goes well with (tap) beer.Rustic ambiance with a good twist of nostalgic pieces from the days gone by. A nice historical building converted into a restaurant. Clean dining room and bathrooms.Attentive staff and quick to serve. Parking is a bit limited but well worth the wait and drive for some food.For me, distance is irrelevant when it comes to good food, service, ambiance, and cleanliness.

Somewhat tucked away on a side street in Smithfield, we missed this treasure!What a great experience with an amazing somewhat erie historical background! Seems this old building was a funeral home / crematorium.All the wood, tables, everything are from original historical buildings. As I understand the story, the kitchen area now - was the crematorium.Well, whatever they were "cookin", some deliciousness with a side of "fried green tomatos" was on the menu. We delighted in the stories as much as the food!From a super beefy burger to my amazing blackened Cesar salad, it was a welcomed treat to our hungry bellies! Our server Kylee was fantastic and super attentive! Definitely one to add to our regulars! Highly recommended!

Amazing food, atmosphere and very efficient. Friendly staff. Depends on time of day you arrive if you will have to wait for a table or booth.

Good food. Shanghai wings were crispy and tasty. The volcano burger was really good too. A bit messy to eat but best burger Ive has in awhile
