Waypoint Seafood & Grill

Conveniently located off of 199. Our server was Sydney and she was an excellent server, very attentive to our dining needs and Sydney offered some great menu advice. The wife and I started with some drinks, old fashion for me and she had the winter/fall cosmo(?). Loved these and the drinks themselves were nice size portion. The basket of bread was very warm and the fancy butter was delish. We both had the fish tacos(mahi mahi) with a side salad. We added a side of saffron rice. Really wanted the truffle fries, but healthy eating complex took over both of us. LOL. The food came out so quick, and was very tasty. Thank You Chef & Sydney. Unfortunately I failed on the pictures tonight, maybe Next time. Sydney, Thank You so much for the amazing service, your server skills are amazeballs!

Waypoint was an amazing experience from start to finish. It was easy to get same day reservations, our overall service was good, and what the service lacked the food more than made up for. First the service, our server was often times no where to be found but we also observed that it didn't seem as if she had an assigned section that was close to ours. ‍ However the food was amazing from start to finish. We loved both our wines. Our appetizer of crawfish crab cake was a special and was so good we forgot to take a picture! I had the salmon, my partner had the swordfish special and we enjoyed the bread pudding for dessert. Every bite of food was amazing! The portions were perfect! Not too much to where if you didn't finish you felt wasteful but definitely enough to get you full! My partner and I are mid 40's and were hands down the youngest people there by 15+ years. This was amazing because we were truly able to enjoy a midweek dinner together without chaos around us. The server also read my request on the reservation for a more quiet space and sat us appropriately. The chairs were extremely comfortable and the overall vibe is casual elegance. We can't wait to go back!

Overall, this restaurant is great. They have a variety of food options with good portion sizes. The seafood is very fresh as well. I got the crab cakes, scallops, and salmon. The crab cakes were good, but there wasn't anything special about them. The scallops were excellent and had flavorful sides that accompanied the dish. The salmon was not good. The topping on the salmon was sweet and gel-like. The snicker cheesecake was not traditional cheesecake. The cheesecake filling was centered in the middle of a hard bowl-like crust. However, the bread pudding was delicious!The service was great. The waitress was pretty attentive and very friendly. The restaurant had white table cloths but it wasn't too fancy. The restaurant is very spacious, the lighting is perfect, and it isn't loud. It doesn't seem to get too crowded, but I would make a reservation just in case.

We had a wonderful family dinner at Waypoint on 3/1. There was 8 of us to include our grandchildren ages 2 and 5. Despite our call that day to reconfirm our table was only set for 6. The manager and a busser brought in 2 more chaos and settings so we were good to go. The Chilean sea bass and the flounder fish and chips excellent. Deep fried oysters a home run!

Went here Christmas Eve $99 prix fee. Unfortunately many restaurants feel special occasion dining is an excuse to charge a lot for mediocre food. Waypoint is one of those restaurants. I think you'll know how the rest of my review will go....

Good restaurant very nice menu and ambiance. The fried oysters are definitely an item to try. I had the crab cake dinner and the peach cobbler for dessert both were delicious. The bar service was excellent. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area

Came here for a party was not my choice and wouldn't recommend. We had one server for 24 people. It took 30 minutes to even get a drink outside of water. Not her fault but take note.The other thing I noticed is that there is no hot water in the restrooms. What does that mean for the people cooking, serving and plaiting the food. What does that mean for us the consumer. Pretty sure it's a health code violation but it certainly hasn't been picked up by the State yet. I will give them a notice next week.

This was our first time visiting Waypoint. Our server Don was great. The atmosphere was very nice. Our food was good, but I would have liked a bit more seasoning. The butterfinger cheese cake was the star of the show.

Good ambiance, upscale decor. Attentive waiter. Most of our lunch there was good but the fried clam strips my wife had were the worst we have ever had. Very overcooked, highly breaded, dark brown, snapped in half and no clam left inside. Otherwise, good food, suggest they reconsider offering clam strips at all.

I was part of a group of women who attended a luncheon at Waypoint today. I don't know where to start in terms of talking about the wonderful experience we had. Although it was a private party, the restaurant went out of its way to treat us like they would any other customers. We had a variety of amazing hors d'oeuvres, followed by a salad with a deliciously refreshing citrus dressing. We also had soup-mine was a house-made sweet potato soup-it was delightful. Our entrées were cooked exactly to order. I chose surf and turf and both were amazing. They were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side. The dessert included a mixed berry cobbler and a chocolate cup with a creamy filling.The ambience of the restaurant was lovely; it was tastefully decorated for the holidays without being overdone. I was especially impressed with the service. The staff was very attentive, but not overbearing. I never had to ask for my water to be refilled and they were very accommodating in getting me a to-go box when I had to leave before the end of the event.Whether you are looking for a restaurant for a private event or just want a delicious meal, I would highly recommend Waypoint! You will not be disappointed.
