This review is for the swimming pool only. This was my first time at the WISC and I was darn impressed with the amount of activities offered. I had no idea this was tucked back in this area by Lafayette H.S. The setting is pretty and back in the woods. Parking is plentiful, you just may have to walk. Specifically for the pool is very limited in the rear. For officials and coaches they have a designated lot not far. Spectator parking is in front of the main building unless you get lucky. The pool is in the rear of the main building. I believe it's only a few years old, possibly built in 2017. It does not look like much from the front, but don't let that fool you. Locker rooms are up front. The lobby area is very small for congregating before and after meets. The pool itself is a 10 lane short course. In order to conduct warm-up/cools down during a meet a lane, or two is closed running the heats at either 8, or 9 lanes. There is a small baby pool up front. The deck is decent size and has bleacher area for athletes and limited spectator bleachers. Fold up chairs are permitted. Around six garage doors are around each side of the structure to improve air quality of the temperatures are conducive. The two day meet hosted by 757 Swim was in January. Garage doors overall were closed with a few at the start area up a quarter to improve air quality. Needless to say with cooler temps it was chilly for the athletes when waiting for their events. The meet hosting was fantastic by 757 and timelines were mostly hit by the officials crew. Upon first entering the pool area I was struck with a heavy chlorine smell and my eyes began to burn. Well duh... pools are chlorinated but this was heavy. I'm around pools everyday, so I know the challenges of pool air quality. Both days were consistently the same on poor air. My athlete had a cough and sore throat a day after the meet. This to me is dangerous over a long period of time. Two days is not a long period. Splashes also add to the churning up of chlorine thrown up in the air. It was a large meet with lots of splashes and my older swimmer was second session. Possible HVAC issue on my visit? I can't really say other than friends said it's been better. If your interested in all that's available at WISC check their website, or read other reviews here on yelp. If swimming is your thing then consider a membership to the pool. It is an amazing complex with incredible offerings. If for not the issues with air I'm at a 4, but with air quality challenged a 3 fits them best.

Immaculately maintained sports fields and courts. Covered picknic area and very clean bathrooms (warm to). Plenty of parking and walking trails.

This complex has lots of fields and room to walk. Parking was plentiful but it was packed during the lacrosse tournament. It flowed well so it didn't seem crowded.

This place is fantastic! I can't really say much more then what everyone else has...but they have everything to stay fit all year around. They have multiple fields for soccer, base/soft ball, field hockey and even 3.5 miles of trails to walk or run. There is even in door soccer!!! There is an indoor pool, but I am not sure of its services / hours. A must if you live in the local area. Larges amount of parking.

Great facility! Lots of soccer fields, baseball fields and playgrounds to keep everyone happy. The stadium is AstroTurf along with a few other soccer fields. Lots of parking as well. The complex is nicely laid out.

This review is specifically for the multiuse trail, not the fields or indoor sports complex.James City County does an excellent job at providing its citizens with top notch recreational amenities, and the multiuse trail at the WSC (pronounced "wisk" for people in the know) is a perfect example. The 3.5 mile crushed gravel trail is perfect for runners and hikers that enjoy the softer surfaces and scenic escape of a wooded trail, but not the distraction of roots, sharp turns, and abrupt dips generally associated with mountain bike trails and/or poorly maintained trails. While catering to my klutzy side by providing a smooth surface, the trail climbs and falls over moderate hills for its duration, making for a somewhat challenging run or hike. Mile markers are provided in 1/2 mile increments, so this is helpful if you are trying to hit a specific pace (though I find that with the hilliness, I tend to average 30 seconds or so slower per mile than I would exerting the same effort on the road). There is plenty of parking at the trailhead, which is located towards the front of the park- just past Warhill High School if entering from Centerville Rd. I can't wait until "spring forward" when I'll be able to run here again after work.

I came here from out of town to watch a crossfit competition and was blown away. The facility is very large. They accommodate kids very well with a rock wall play area. They have a large AstroTurf indoor soccer field as well as numerous outdoor fields. Their crossfit gym has every piece of equipment you could ever want. I was very impressed. My only regret was being a fan in the stands rather than a participate out there!

Great time for kids age 2-12 with activities to keep them busy for hours. We stayed from 3-6:45 and everyone had a great time. They have a cafe also, which was reasonably priced with some decent options. Water fountains throughout. Staff was very friendly.

This place is shady. Management and ownership are not courteous or considerate. They do not strive for fair competition. They rig sports to keep teams from winning. The referees do not make fair calls. They do not care about children. They are liars. Try to find somewhere else for your sporting needs.

This is for 757swim- My children had private lessons with an instructor named Alison. She is amazing with kids and has a lot of patience. My daughter got comfortable with her quickly and gained confidence to be in the pool. It is pricey($50 per 30 min.) but so is everything else right now. I am happy with our experience!
