This place is BOMB DOT COM! A friend booked us a karaoke booth back in November and there were about 10 of us which the staffs were able to accommodate us. It is a smaller place than others but their karaoke booth was awesome. Very high tech, and I love the 2 screens where you can see the lyrics in front of you (the back wall) while the people sitting down can see the screen at the front. I love the mini stage they have which has a 3rd mic stand. You can even have your friends as a back up singer!! The food they serve seals the deal for me! The sushi tastes so good and their cocktails are amazing! We had so much and enjoyed the food they serve that we don't even wanna leave. The pricing for booking a booth was at a reasonable price which you can split with your friends. This place is perfect if you wanna have fun and unwind after a long week. Let out all your energy and enjoy your night! We'll definitely be back and spread the words

Note the trend in the bad reviews is an unwillingness from management to help. Every place has bad or off days, but ownership is important. We went there for dinner. Right out the door we had two dirty water glasses--no one cared--we discussed leaving at this point but decided to stay.We asked questions about food because there were not descriptions on numerous items. The waitress didn't know. We asked if some items were steamed or fried--and received the wrong answer. The salad my boyfriend ordered was clearly prepared ahead and had a large amount of water in the bottom of the bowl making it nearly impossible to eat without getting a bath. We ordered appetizers but after waiting a good amount of time for his salad, our meal, the appetizers, my clear soup and salad all came out together--which doesn't even make sense. Another reviewer said the hibachi friend rice was just steamed brown rice and I agree. My hibachi came out fajita "build it yourself" style: steamed brown rice (not fried as ordered), the meat and veggies in a bowl full of sauce (another reviewer called hibachi soup)--no plate to put the meal together. I had to send back the "fried" (brown) rice and finally received white rice right before we left. My boyfriend didn't like one of his rolls and they took his whole plate including the roll he was eating and he sat there for 10 minutes with no food--only to have the one bad roll removed--which we would have happily pushed it into a spare plate so he could still eat.Overall, food was mediocre at best--it was expensive at over $100 for two people, despite numerous problems no one came to talk to us or offer solutions. Our waitress was kind but uninformed and the manager clearly used her as the go between with no accountability. There weren't any parties in the karaoke rooms and only three couples there with at least three servers.I can only attribute the good reviews to the large amount of mediocre food in Va Beach compared to Norfolk etc. You could do worse but definitely not worth blowing money here. Will never go back.

What a stunning restaurant! The decor here is truly one-of-a-kind, making a bold statement that sets the stage for a memorable experience, especially on special occasions. While the food is decent, with sushi that tastes satisfactory but not exceptional, the real draw is undoubtedly the atmosphere. While the ingredients might not be of the highest quality, they suffice. However, I did find the service to be somewhat slow, despite the empty space. Nonetheless, the highlight here are the fantastic karaoke rooms, which are perfect for reserving for those special moments.

Volcano certainly knows how to do preparation for delivery services perfectly! Not only was the food terrific, it was delivered in containers that kept each item contained to preserve the same quality as would have been experienced in the restaurant. The order also came much earlier than was expected, which was a wonderful surprise on a Friday night.It had been a long time since I had Hibachi. So I looked forward to my Hibachi Shrimp dinner. The shrimp was delicious & brought back memories of the many in person Hibachi Shrimp dinners going back to the 70's. But it had to began with the Miso Soup that is the perfect beginning. There is absolutely no dressing better than that served with Japanese side salads. Yummy! The grilled Zucchini, Onions, & Broccoli coated with the sauce normally used for the shrimp was a great finale. What a terrific meal!My son had the Hibachi Salmon. My friend ordered the Mongolian Beef. Both proclaimed their dinners to be really good. But none could possibly have been as good as mine. :)I'm not able to speak to the location & the ambiance since the food was delivered. But I certainly plan to visit the restaurant in the future. Hold a table for me Volcano.

My friend and I ordered two rolls each and were completely surprised when they brought it out on this boat! It was such a nice touch and really improve the quality of the meal. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

Found this place on Instagram from a food influencer/social content creator. Upon first impression, I was impressed by the music playing and the atmosphere with all the lights, and seeing the karaoke rooms. However, everything quickly went downhill afterwards and I was no longer impressed by the time I left.Our server was very nice, her name was Misa. She was training a new waitress while handling our table. I quickly found out she was also handling a large party of what I estimated to be about 30 people who all broke up their checks. When I was walking around checking out the karaoke rooms. My server stopped in to tell me the prices and packages of the three karaoke rooms. My server was extremely nice and knowledgeable. However, our service was extremely slow. We never received drink refills. We waited almost 20 minutes for our check. I ended up going up to the registers to pay for my check with another waiter. The restaurant was NOT short staffed. They had many waiters working the floor. It seems Misa was overloaded and overworked. The presentation of the food was very artistic and creative. However, everything tasted bland, tasteless, and the raw fish was not fresh. We ordered several different things from appetizers, sushi to ramen.Also, it was expensive and not worth what I paid for. Highly disappointed in my experience. I hope they fix how they operate and definitely improve their food.

Volcano is a vibe with karaoke rooms, hibachi grills, sushi bar, drinks, and more. Sushi was pretty tasty with a crazy presentation. Our service was nice friendly but could have paid a little more attention to us. There is enough space in here to handle larger parties as well. I will for sure give it another try.

Was looking for something for an easy takeout experience while staying in Town Center and found Volcano - the google reviews looked very good so I thought I'd try.The good: the sushi did seem pretty good quality - I got the Beauty and the Beast roll. Enjoyed this one. Also I ordered delivery and the restaurant prepared the food very fast and it was delivered quickly.The bad: I also ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp - it was not my favorite. Perhaps had I eaten at the restaurant it would have different, but my entree was swimming in juice and not very well seasoned. Also very little shrimp sauce came with it so didn't have much to cover the flavor.What I missed: since I did takeout, I wasn't able to experience the atmosphere that I've heard nice things about - the karaoke and ambiance here is supposed to be very fun. But from just the food perspective, it was just ok

Incompetent and racist staff. My boyfriend and I walked in and were seated, we sat there for over 30 minutes-- completely ignored. No one came to take our drink order, greet us, or even acknowledge our presence but every server made eye contact and continuing on as if we didn't exist. Mind you this restaurant is extremely small and you literally cannot miss us. Meanwhile, I watched as two other couples, neither of whom were Black and White like us, walked in, were immediately welcomed, and had their food served--all while we were still sitting there, waiting for even the bare minimum of a hello.Once we finally decided to get up and go , The staff had the audacity to say, "Have a good night" as we walked out--as if they hadn't just refused to serve us.Whether this was discrimination or Just laziness, No paying customer should ever feel unwelcome or disregarded like that. I'll never be back, and I encourage others to think twice before supporting a place that treats people this way.
