Went to the convention center for the Monet / Van Gogh experience. Love that it is close to oceanfront and in the vibe district so we were able to grab something to eat and walk around a couple places before heading over. There was free parking. I'm not sure if that's the case for all exhibits The convention center in general is quite large. This exhibit I think took up one of the sections So I would be curious as to the other events that they hold there

Beautiful facility. I'm a local and remember the old building before they rebuilt it back In like 2006ish. The facility still looks brand new and is super clean. It's huge but the layout is simple, it's an open floor plan pretty much.

I've been to the Jewelry show, Train show, India Fest and International Fest here. Parking is super easy and all around the building. Events are always organized , fun, and worth going to. The inside is spacious which is why they can hold multiple events in a day. Bathrooms get dirty and kinda gross, not sure why. It's a cool place to go to for events and activities!

I love the Virginia Beach conference center for events. Great, plentiful patking, clean bathrooms, and always well maintained. It is so huge that I often end up parking on my favorite side and having to walk through the length of the building to get to my event. This time, I went to the Coastal Virginia Wine Festival. There was also a Southern Gun and Knifes Show going on. Both were heavily attended and beautifully produced and well received.Improvements needed:Signage outside that leys you know what event is in each section of the venue. There are four major double doors entrances for the building. Each of those entrances could have event placards mounted inside, so the event could post the event title and info that is being featured at each entrance. Similiar to the placards inside of major hotels to direct event attendees to the correct section/areas.It would be nice to have overhead signage inside the facility over each major entrance facing the street that would provide info about the events behind the doors. It is not a critical need, but it would diminish the frustration of event attendees. Event planners would not have to say, "No, that event is through the other two gray double doors. Just look for signs laid flat on the tables to get to the right doors.Maybe the venue could supply or rent the old school signage on stand-up signage with the white letters on black background that say " Gun Show, Enter Here."

I have attended many events at the Virginia Beach convention center everything from health seminars to anime comic cons this week it's was the world culture festival and the treasures of the earth gem show. They also had local dance troupes competing in another ballroom They are a home to such a diverse selection of events The architecture is marvelous and so pretty outside has small ponds with Lilly's and lily pads A bonus for this facility are the murals and art surrounding it you never know what you may see The ample parking is impressive as well just in general the vb convention center is one of the best I've seen

Plenty of really cool events are at the Convention Center and plenty of parking. My only minus is that the events that you are going into to do all shopping and the vendors have paid to be there. These shopping events need people to come to buy their goods. They should not charge so much for entry. That way you have more money to give to the vendors and more people will go. With the cost of inflation I can see less people attending and that is not helpful to the small mom and pop shops that have paid to have a booth at these shopping shows. I like to shop local. Or give locals a discount. Like if you have a local Drivers liscense you could have half price tickets. I could see a bigger turn out for the shopping events like this. Just some suggestions.Make sure you look at the events calendar. There is always something going on at the Convention Center. My favorite is a lot of times they will have free coat check also. Staff are Always friendly and helpful

I've been here once or twice for events & I am always delighted by the amount of parking lots there are. There's also parking spot counters for each lot, but I don't think it's that accurate as I drove around some, unless they're able to see into the future or something. Big, wide open space when you walk in that's kept minimal. My only gripe is signage when it comes to events. I wish it was bigger or there was an electronic map like at the mall that tells you today's events + location. So easily you could stand in the wrong line. I came for the Winefest & was getting hungry. I really enjoyed that there was a cafe inside with good food at reasonable prices. Also came during SITW and the rooms were just right no matter where you sat.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Va. Beach Convention Center. I visited this center while picking up my race materials for Rock n Roll Va Beach Half Marathon. Perhaps this is more of a review of the folks at Rock n Roll, but I thought central was very organized and clean. They appeared to be some social distancing procedures put in place for COVID. Parking was pretty much a breeze, but I do not think the race expo was attended by a bunch of people because it was kind of an in-and-out event. For instance, grab your race materials, purchase some random souvenirs, take a few pictures, and bounce.
